Being not professional in tennis and writing this is really very trilling. Woods is really a best author.

While this book was different from the other book I read by Stuart Woods, White Cargo, it is written in a similar style. I have to admit I wasn't always sure who the good guys were and was not sure how he was going to bring everything together and wrap it up until the end - although I did have my suspicions and they were fairly accurate. If you like detective novels - fast paced, easy reading, I would recommend his books. As for me, I think I'll wait a while and move on to a different genre for now.

Quick read. Key Wet, Florida. Tennis pro/coach has affair with client and murder and mayhem keep newly hired ex NY detective busy figuring out who killed who. A little predictable.

I borrowed this book from a friend; it is the first Stuart Woods novel I've read and I'm hooked. The story moved quickly, it was a page turner. It was set in Key West, Florida where a local tennis pro hooks up with a rich man's wife. It has mystery, suspense, and romance. Can't wait to read another book by Stuart Woods!

Lol I was POSITIVE I had it figured out, then the twist came and I was shocked and THEN it twisted again and I was partially right. I'll take it as a win. A point off for the cheesy dialogue.

Not sure how I came across this book and why I own it, but boy is it poorly written. I can't help, but feel Woods' didn't even like the idea and therefore changed directions midway through hoping to liven it up and at the same time keep his campy, un-witty, embarrassing one line ironic conclusion.

I loved this book. Read it very quickly as I was anxious to see what would happen next. Lots of twists and turns. It’s an old book. 1995. I bought it at a used book sale and the fact that it took place in Key West hooked me. It was fun!

Standalone novel by Stuart Woods, and at first I expected to be disappointed. It centers on a tennis pro who choked when he was winning the Wimbledon. As a result, he's reduced to being the tennis pro at a country club on Key West, FL. I thought, oh great! A lot of tennis stuff. BUT it did not focus on tennis, but rather on the guests that befriend him (especially the ladies) and what happens when he sleeps with the wrong one. A twisting tale that had several surprises and was a pleasure to listen to. The reader tends to have a droning voice when reading narrative so I would find myself nodding off occasionally. But a quick rewind, and we were all good.
