I have to go back and read the source material for this graphic novel. What appreciation I have for this as a form of war journalism is colored by my suspicion that this was proposed to Marvel Comics as a propaganda piece, showing an almost sanitized portrayal of the Iraq War.

I normally enjoy graphic novels that deal with the human complexities of war. This, however, read like a recruitment piece put out by the US Dept. of Defense. Completely unrealistic dialogue and way too much rah-rah and not enough raw truth. There are much better war comics out there.
