I loved all three of these books. They were very simple, but took me back to my early childhood books. I found all of the main characters to be so endearing, and they were just fun to read.

It made me yearn to be in high school again, and made me step back there as I read. I guess that's the mark of a good book, for the reader to be able to put themselves into the story!

This series is a great summer series. It is slightly different than the movies which I appreciated because I did see them before reading these books. They were still recommended to me despite my hesitation. However, I wasn’t disappointed. They are great coming of age books as well, for a teenager or adolescent. Although, I did read them in my adult years and loved them all the same.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants #1-
Carmen buys a pair of jeans at a thrift shop. Somehow, the pants fit Carmen and her three best friends, Lena, Tibby, and Bridget, even though the girls have very different bodies. Before each girl sets off to her summer plans, they have a friendship gathering at Gilda’s gym, where their mothers met many years ago. To stay close while they’re apart, they promise to send the pants, which they call the Traveling Pants, to one another throughout the summer. When all the girls are back in Bethesda, they celebrate their birthdays at Gilda’s. They write down their experiences on the Pants. But after being apart for so long, will their friendship stay the same? Read the book and find out! I definitely suggest reading this wonderful book that teaches you about friendship and kindness!

I enjoyed all 4 of these books. (I THINK there were 4!) Got a little racy at times, especially the last book, but I had fun getting to know these girls. Made me think of my own terrific BFFs & how lucky I am. :)

This book was good. I liked how all the girls had real-life problems that I could relate to (some of them.) it seemed like all of these girls were actually real and that one day, I would come upon Tibby or Lena. Carmen and her mother, Christina had problems that most teens have with their own mothers. Tibby had troubles with her boyfriend, and friends at her new college. Lena had troubles with Kostos, the Greek heartbreaker who she had fallen in love with. It ended up that Kostos had a pregnat wife, and Lena learned she could never be with him. Bridget wanted to meet her Grandma, so she pretended to be somebody else and work for her Grandma. Bee had given up her favorite thing, and most important part of her life, soccer. She was getting bigger, and had tried dying her hair brown. In the end, Bridget realized that she didn't want to change herself, and that she didn't need to. She joined soccer again, told her Grandma who she was, and realized her friend, Billy ,liked her. In the end, all of the sister's lives turned out to be good, and they all got what they had wanted to in the first place. Lena's mother told her the story about how she had gotten heart-broken by a Greek boy also, and Lena and her mother got even closer by their experiences and similiarities. This book taught me to make the right choices, and all the characters taught me some sort of lesson. They seemed so real, and that is the main reason I liked the book. The only thing I didn't like was how they all only had one problem, and it got kind of boring in spots. Although, I still thought it was a good book. I would recommend this book to only some readers, because it was sort of innapropriate and not a good choice for younger readers. The girls weren't the best role models either, and for younger readers, the characters might teach readers the wrong ideas and help them make wrong choices.
