Love this! I love little mouse and this sequel is even more precious. Little mouse has to protect his presents from the Big Hungry Bear, but how? Little mouse’s facial expressions are just priceless in this novel! Little mouse tries to cover his presents up with a blanket, next he drags a big heavy chain and lock in and ties that around them but we all know that Big Hungry Bear will do anything to get what he wants. As the story continues, little mouse is frantic on what to do to save his presents from Big Hungry Bear and it is the season of giving and little mouse’s heart is big……little mouse, you are truly a blessing. What a terrific story by Don and Audrey Wood, two of my favorite children’s authors. Big lavishing illustrations with large text and a wonderful story that you’ll want to read over and over again. I’m jumping online right now to buy a copy of this, as it is not just going to be Christmas read for my granddaughter and I.

An inferior sequel. More to come, if I read it to the five year old.

It doesn't have the same magic as the first, but still cute.
It might be scary for some kids. It talks about a serious topic in a way that a lot of kids will pick up on, and would probably be helped by a conversation about homeless and needy families after reading.

This book is a must read for those who enjoyed "The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear" and for those who are fans of Audrey and Don Wood.

Mouse is afraid that bear will steal his Christmas presents and decorations, so he locks them up and hides them, until the narrator points out that the bear is alone and never gets any presents. Mouse decides to bring Christmas to the Bear.

Little mouse is ready for Christmas; lovely tree, lots of presents. He's reminded that big hungry bear loves presents too, but never gets one. Little mouse overcomes his fear of the bear and delivers a present to him only to discover a surprise for himself. A nice reminder to small children to think of others at Christmas time.

I love how this series takes the reader throughout the season's. It is an unexpected read and therefore fun.

Cute children's book about giving during the Christmas season. The illustrations are adorable and the narrative is short and simple, good for reading aloud with young children. It's a fun story to read at bedtime.
