I just finished watching the series Black Sails, and I wanted to refresh myself on the story of Treasure Island.

“Treasure Island” an amazing book written by Robert Louis Stevenson, is a crazy action packed book about a crew of guys trying to find some treasure on a deserted island. The main character, is a young boy named jim who encounters a crazy pirate in his family's inn and then he dies and Jim takes a key around his neck. The key opens a hidden chest of the pirate and he finds a treasure map. A bad group of pirates is trying to get the map though, and other people are too, so it's a big fight to try and get the map and find the buried treasure. They find a man on the island later and he helps them but there is still way more trouble that is yet to come. This wasn’t one of my favorites, but I didn’t really hate it at all either. It was pretty good though. There was a lot of pirate fights and dramatic events all throughout the book. I did like some ways a lot though, because it reminded me of the book The Swiss family Robinson which is my absolute favorite from the series of the great illustrated classics. I really liked the plot, and its such a awesome book for how short that they are. I think that the theme of the book is that sometimes the right decision isn’t always the best one. I think this because some parts in the book the bad pirates, and the good guys have to bargain together. The Pirates threaten to keep killing everyone and hurting them if they don’t give them the map and so its really hard for them to decide do we want more of our men to die but find the treasure, and do we want to give them the map but we all live.

This a good story for people who have a taste for a adventure.

My Review:
In a mood for a good Middle Grade and I think I picked up a good one, a few slow parts but some really cute characters and a robot goldfish. Lots of humor and some intense moments this was just what I needed for a fun read.

t Alice was a super cute MC and her friends Carl, Noel, Josephine and Goldfish were the perfect companions on this trip.
t Towards the middle it sort of hit a slow spot, I had a hard time staying focused but since I enjoyed the characters I pushed through.
t World build of mars was very interesting, lots of details and a different take on what the world would be like if Aliens came. I enjoyed the idea and it really was well done.
t Goldfish was my favorite, programmed to teach the kids the entire time they left the safety of the base (because it wasn’t safe anymore) all he wanted to do on the down time was teach. It was really funny.
t I thought the end was great, so much happens in this book but I thought it was all done nicely and the wrap up at the end was really well done.

I enjoyed this book, it was fun and funny. It had a bit of slowness that you need to get through but in the end it was worth it. This book would be great for 12 and Up, Adults would enjoy this book also. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This was a fun, quick read. It’s kinda geared towards children so there was some odd plot holes and plot points that defied logic, but overall a wholesome adventure tale

the book treasure island is a book where a boy meets a pirate at a inn and listen to his stories so he finds a map to a treasure he will go and seek it, he will meet another group of pirates who will find the treasure first?

Grade school adaptation of Treasure Island. Full page illustrations on every other page made it a very fast and easy read.

What did you like about this book?
5: I liked when they found the gold.
3: I liked when the pirates flew, well like, they shooter the ship.

Why do you think it gets five stars?
5: Cause it’s pretty pretty good story.
3: because I like when they were shooting the ship.

What was the scariest part?
5: When that guy that had that stick, that bad guy stick, also when the horse trampled him to death.
3: When the ochonauts got that big shark whale

What was the happiest part?
5: When they found the treasure. And the part I said I liked is when Treasure Island’s pirate found, I mean the bird said “pieces of eight! pieces of eight!”
3: When the mommy died?

Really enjoyed listening to this on Audible. Thought the voiceover was brilliant and loved listening to a childhood classic. A bit more brutal than I remember it being as a kid though.

It's lost a lot of the magic of the original, being cut down so much. My kids enjoyed it as an introduction to the story. I did read them a favorite passage from the original to help them really get a taste for the pirates.

I liked it I wish there was more action at the start but good book liked the ending don’t under stand why he sold his home and why he was at the island so long but good book
