Este libro es una temporada completa de Hospital Central. Tiene demasiados términos médicos, que la mayoría no conocemos, pero las tramas son insulsas y sin profundidad. Aún así, es entretenido y se deja leer. Sin embargo, hay libros mucho mejores.

Per Noa Gordon és un dels millors però aquest llibre, no li fa justícia. M’ha semblat lent i sense cap trama rellevant.
M’ha costat no deixar la lectura.

I thought this was a solid story. I enjoyed it. It is about interns who work in a hospital that has a peer committee that goes over the facts of the death of patients to determine if all was done properly and the death was unavoidable, or if it could have been prevented and how the physician could have improved his career to avoid the death. It highlighted the lives of 3 doctors. It was fascinating and lead me to as" does this really happen in all hospitals?" If it doesn't, it should. It seems to be a great way to learn and grow and raise the skill level of practicing doctors. All in all, it was a worthy read.

I am very dissapointed about thia book. Nothing like the other Noah Gordon's books :(

Slow, but captivating, character-driven novel in 1960's? Boston. Follows three male surgeons in and out of a run-down, but busy hospital. The female characters are a bit neurotic, but also well-drawn. I'm looking forward to reading more from this United States author, who seems to be better-known in Spanish-speaking countries for his translated works than for those written in his native language. A shame, really.

No me gustó, he leído muchos libros de Noah Gordon y este fue el tercer intento con este libro que no logro engancharme nunca.
Un libro lleno de estereotipos y comentarios machistas, que sí bien pueden responder a la época en que fue escrito, considero que están de más e incluso que son excesivos.
Claramente este libro quedó entre las decepciones de este año

The Death Committee was a Superb book to read! I cannot say enough, except that it’s very difficult to find writers this good, anymore. Loved it.

Un libro interesante, con distintos protagonistas que cuentas sus historias en primera persona entrelazando unas con otras. Interesante el tema médico, quizá he echado un poco en falta que no se termina de profundizar demasiado en ninguna de las historias. En conjunto entretenido e interesante.

Was REALLY slow. I found each character intriguing, but I think it took too long for them all the mesh together in any meaningful way. A way to pass time once I was into the story, but I don't think I'd recommend it.
