The aesthetic is consistent and the humor lands every time. The glorification of collective bargaining may alienate some but the overall message of coming together to improve everyone's station and life quality is hard to ignore. A sequel would be welcome!

Smart cows! Really fun :)

You had me at typing cows and formal complaints. This book was absolutely adorable and the farmer was a legit goat. I really enjoyed reading this story to my son last night so much I read it again for myself.

Classic children’s story about a labor strike and miscommunication between the classes.

This was funny. The cows looked so cute.

The cows are cold and type out demands for Farmer Brown. The cows unite and go on strike. The hens join in. I read this years ago with Rotary Reads. I just had the pleasure of reading it again for Grandparents Read day at my granddaughter’s school. The kids had so much fun making the sounds of the animals. Great read-aloud book!

Absolutely stunning. This is an incomparable work of art.

My favorite and the most inspiring parts:
"Duck was a neutral party, so he brought the ultimatum to the cows."
"The cows held an emergency meeting. All the animals gathered around the barn to snoop, but none of them could understand Moo."

I got into an argument about whether or not this book existed. It was used to teach me about the power of unions in kindergarten. The cows radicalized me and I’m so grateful.

I re-read this book as part of a summer reading challenge to re-read a childhood favorite. I listened to the audio recording first and then read the book with all the pictures. I got a kick out of the audio recording because there was upbeat farmer background music that really set the tone of the story. The music is now stuck in my head

Who doesn't like cows with "tudes"?!

Trying to compare the original with the new ready-to-read edition... somehow they don't seem the same in my mind.... Can any of you see them side-by-side and tell me?

Finally did get a chance to compare them side-by-side and they are exactly the same. Whew.

Cannot believe that I just realized this is a whole story about labour negotiations/unionization,, spectacular stuff
