I got this cookbook from my dad for Christmas quite a few years ago. He is an avid cooker, who loves to see the looks on people's faces when they try one of his new recipes. This book has made me become my dad when it comes to food. It has so many wonderful recipes that I want to try everything. I have made more items from this particular cookbook than from any other.
I love Taste of Home cookbooks. They do not use any "exotic" ingredients I might not have in my kitchen and the recipes are easy to follow, made "at home" and there are pictures!
This is just okay. It is jam-packed full of recipes, but they don't all have pictures, which I consider negative. They are organized well and pretty easy to make, they just didn't do it for me! Taste of Home has a website with recipes that is searchable and also offers ratings, so I would find that MUCH more valuable than this cookbook.
I love the magazine so it would stand to reason that I love the cookbook too. Tried and true recipes from real cooks. There's nothing better. This is one I would definately love to add to my collection.
started this book because I was looking for a certain recipe but ended up reading the whole thing found many recipes I had been thinking about for a long time. I will be spending the day searching my pantry for ingredients for some of these really good and interesting recipes. I may gain 10 pounds today. ha ha
