Yup, it’s a book.

Actually, it’s a very good book for anybody learning about personal finance and investing for the first time, even if the book itself isn’t super exciting. Quite frankly, that’s the way personal finance should be. It’s not about flash, excitement, or hype. How you live with your money is serious business, something that anybody in their early twenties should learn more about NOW.

There are plenty of other books on personal finance and investing that should likewise be suitable, but Personal Finance for Dummies is comprehensive enough to point anybody in the right direction.

I absolutely loved this easy-to-read informative book about personal finances. When I first opened it I was almost a blank slate, knowing only the very basics of what benefits I need and how to bank money. Now I understand investments, retirement, strategies to save, how to protect my assets after death, and how to be properly insured. I took notes along the way and am actually excited about creating my personalized plan and following through to provide my family with financial health. Everyone should read this book.

this was a good book

it was helpful and exposed alot of false beliefs that many hold onto but i did find alot of his opinions a bit on the faddish side.

its a good idea to help the reader to get to see what finances are and the vocabulary that we should know its a great book to help us learn what finances are

Despite the for "Dummies" name, this book was a good, basic overview of personal finance. As I was heading into a new period of life change, it was a good thing to read/skim over and help get the big picture in mind. Even though I've seen all the pieces before and had a good plan, I learned a few new tidbits and appreciate his advice about the drawbacks of the finance industry, even though he does make a living in that realm as well. Better to have eyes wide open, but to be actively managing your finances. If you aren't, this book is a good place to start.

So much information. Really, a very complete guide to personal finances.

But they're personal finances so it'll also put you to sleep. Worth reading but I recommend doing it in small doses

Liked it enough to purchase one to keep, that tells you something. Wished I have read it 6 years ago. I would be in a better financial position
