why are nicolous sparks endings so perfect??! he's the king at writing them. I want to cry. I did feel like there should have been more development in their relationship I felt a little bit like insta-love. I also dislike how he left out his friends and school in the second half of the book when the was a big part in the first. it felt unnatural because we didn't know what was going on over there. lastly it took some time for me to get used to the narrator's voice because it was very raspy but besides that I really enjoyed listening to this book:)

A Walk to Remember details the story of Jamie Sullivan, a preacher's daughter who seems to know everything, and Landon Carter, the boy who would never be tempted by Jamie in real life. The plot is predictable enough, even if you haven't seen the movie. I won't spoil the ending here, but it leaves quite a lot to be desired.

I wanted to like this book, since so many people I knew enjoyed it, but I ended up hating it. The material was far too idyllic in some parts, and overly sanguine in others. I could see how Nicholas Sparks fans could like it, but it didn't have enough heart or plot to keep me interested.

This book was really good. It is for sure one of my favorites. The book and movie are not exactly the same. Jamie's character is inspiring. She is such a good person and changes Landon's character for the better.- A miracle- This is the first book that I couldnt read at times because my eyes were filled with tears. A Walk to Remember is a fantastic, quick read that is worth your time.

considering that this is my favourite movie of all time!! I can also say that the book is no different!!
It's soooo different from the movie but similar as well. But the similarities doesn't interfere with your experience, if that makes any sense. I feel like I can read and watch the movie back to back and I wouldn't get bored. Which is amazing compared to other books!!!!

If I had to choose, the movie will still be my favourite. Who wouldn't want to watch Shane West fall in love with Mandy Moore, if you know what I mean!!!?
But still the book is a totally different experience. Even when I knew what to expect I still cried. it's totally worth it!!!

P.s: I usually mind this kind of ending but this is the only book where it I didn't mind it. Surprisingly it makes me happy every single time.

This is the nth time that I re-read this book and I'm sure it wont be the last. A Walk to Remember is the first N. Sparks book I read and will always be one of my favorites.

The story begins with Landon Carter reminiscing his senior year in Beaufort High. The year where Landon, a politician son fell for Jamie Sullivan, a pastor's daughter. Destiny brought these two different personalities together which changed their lives and the people around them forever.

Likes: Everything! When I first read this book, I was completely awed by how good it was written considering the fact that it was in a male's POV. The writing was simple and poignant. What I really liked about the story is how pure and innocent the love is between the main characters. Sure they were young, but what they had was real. The characters are also likable. Landon was flawed, he's insecure, and probably not the brightest kid in school but deep inside he's a good guy. Jamie was the good girl but her goodness seems to repel people. In other words, she's a social outcast. I love the character development. We saw how Jamie changed Landon and how his experience made him a better person.

Dislikes: I couldn't think of anything...

This book is highly recommended to those who are addicted to tear-jerkers and bitter-sweet endings.

Ok, this is the one that started it all for me. It was the first book I had read in a very long time and I loved it!! I cried at the end and my heart just broke for the two of them. I can't say I liked the movie much. As far as I am concerned, it strayed way too much from the storyline. They made it too modern and the whole appeal of the book was the time that it was set in. This one made me wonder if any of the others was any good. I was very impressed with "Message..." (that one made me cry too...lol)

It has taken me 19 years to finally read 'A Walk to Remember'... the movie version is one of my all time favourites. Although after reading the book I now realise that the movie was tweaked a bit, it nevertheless still retained the essence of the book ❤️.

Book or movie? Definitely movie!!

Landon is a senior in high school and he needs a date for the prom, but he can't find anyone. So he asks the unpopular and religious Jamie, who is in acting class with him. This helps them get to know each other better until Landon falls in love with her. But the young love is facing a hard time, but with the help of God, Landon knows what to do. This is the first book by Nicholas Sparks, that I have read, which is very much about religion and I like it very much and above all it is heartbreaking as always.

Hello guys... let’s me give you about my book review. I will give you a review about novel with the title A Walk to Remember. This novel written by Nicholas Spark in 1999.
This story began when a seventeen years old boy named Landon met a beautiful girl named Jamie sullivan. Jamie Sullivan is the daughter of a pastor in her country. She always carried a bibble everywhere and anytime. In her school none of her friend liked her, because in their friend opinion Jammie is an odd girl. However, Jammie still to be a good person to her friend, although their freind don’t like her. Jammie also always helped anyone who need her help.
Someday, in her school held a party. As a leader of an organizatio in his school, Landon inevitably to come in the party. He imaged that he woul be laughed by all his friend if he come alone. Thus, Landon think and decided to take Jammie to accompany Landon. Consequally, Jamie accept Landon permisson, in one condition. Jamie give Landon a propose that he had not fall in love with Jamie.
After a party, the relation of Landon and Jamie become closer, they also follow a drama performance. Landon always took Jamie at home everyday. Landon felt angry when his friend made a bad things to Jamie. However, Landon and Jamie did not think about their friend assumption.
Day by day became close, its the time for Landon and Jamie to show their performance in a drama. In this drama Jamie played as a angel for her father, and Landon played as Jamie’s father. Landon tried to look as a good as possible. Landon can improve the drama very well, and he pronounced the line of the dialogue very good. After they have a performance in drama performance, Landon began release that he fell in love with Jamie. After a long time they together, finally Landon want to expressed his feeling to Jamie, and luckly jamie welcomed.
In one day, Landon think that Jamie look getting thin and weak,until Jamie told Landon if Jamie suffered from blood cancer disease. Landon shock and he tried to make Jamie happy in her life. The thik how make Jamie happy. He asked her mother about that, but he could not found any answer from his mother. However, Landon remembered that Jammie want to get married and attended by much of the people. Landon also asked his parents permission to marry with Jamie, and his parents allowed Landon to marry Jamie, Landon feel happy and blessing about that. It’s the way to make her life perfect.
In this novel, Nicholas Spark tried to combine about love and family. It show by Jamie and her father. I think this novel tells us about the imprortant of helping each others. After I read this story, I get some moral value. Love can change someone from a bad person to be a good person, and love teach us about forgiveness kindness and so on. However, when I read this story sometimes I find strange diction that make me confuse to get the meaning, but overall this novel is intersting to read.
