Vanessa bought me this book after I watched Fracture and developed a serious crush on Ryan Gosling. Well, that led me to this movie and, unfortunately, this book. How does this man have a career as a writer?! Who is paying him to write stories with the most obvious choices in plot/dialogue/decisions. Wow. Lowest common denominator.

The Notebook is a beautiful book about true love. Nicholas Sparks is very talented writer, and I love his books. Are awesome. This book is very interesting. The story, and love relationship between two main characters: Noah and Allie. I dont tell the whole story. I just want You to read it.

“After dinner, I become afraid despite myself. I know I should be joyous, for this reunion is the proof that love can still be ours, but I know the bell has tolled this evening. The sun has long since set and the thief is about to come, and there is nothing I can do to stop it. So I stare at her and wait and live a lifetime in these last remaining moments.”

It is a touching, poignant and compelling story that will forever linger in you with nostalgia. It resonates with an emotional vibrancy that will enchant one, making it remarkable and memorable.

This is the best love story I've read so far. The beauty lies in the sweet little moments larger than life that they have spent together in a small south american village. The romance between Noah and Allie is Sublime!

Nicholas Sparks avoided much of Drama to make it a perfect Romance in the midst of nature. All the Love Letters and Poetry of Whitman, Tennyson, Thomas and Browning was described aesthetically.

I have a lot of feelings with this book which is difficult to express.

I saw the movie of the Notebook before the book, and I regard it as one of the best romantic-non-comedy films of all times. Right up there with Titanic and couples like Ross and Rachel and Meredith and Derek. ;)

I loved the love between Allie and Noah and how one person can inspire feelings and a glow within that you just may not find in anyone else. I don’t know how realistic it really is (probably not that much) considering I’ve never experienced that, but it was simply lovely to read and I loved their love ❤️

I will recommend this book to anyone who loves romance novels, or needs to believe in love again. Just be warned - not as passionate as the movie.

I read this book some time ago and it was a truly brilliant story.
It's the sort of book that has you reaching for the tissues and going without sleep because you want to read just another page before you go to sleep.
Highly recommended.

Ya me puedo permitir esa opinión, y también decir que me desilusiono un poco, porque la película me gusta bastante y el libro está bien simple y flojo. El romance empalagoso; y no hablo del buen empalago. Esta demasiado sobrevalorado, inclusive entre sus mismas páginas. Noah se volvió insoportable sorry, insufrible por su Allie. ¡Oye! ¡Le exageraste, Nicholas! Proclaman de un amor eterno, capaz de cambiar vidas, ¡Oh! Lo extraordinario de estar enamorado… Todos, absolutamente todos están encantados, maravillados, sorprendidos de que exista un amor así. ¡Es un milagro!

Es tonto e innecesario.

La mayor parte del tiempo ya leía por acabarlo pronto y se volvió un esfuerzo sobrehumano. No es nada emocionante. Y la guerra queda en un segundo plano, lo cual me pareció materialista, si está ambientada en pleno siglo XX, debieron resaltar un poco eso. Y dejarse de tanto monologo interno: Allie, Allie, Allie. Mas diálogos y menos paginas no estarían de más.

Uh, segunda historia de Nicholas Sparks que leo. Y me quedo por decir que prefiero Dear John.

Ahora sí: ¿Es en serio, Hollywood? ¿Es necesario adaptar todas las historias de este hombre?

So if you are following me for long, you know I have a strange relationship with Nicholas Sparks books, I watched all of the adapted movies 5-6 years back and loved those, I wasn’t into English books reading back them. A walk to remember was my first Read and my favourite on of his. I also enjoyed Dear John but after that, all of the other started to feel the same. So I took a break a few months ago, Recently I decided to give Notebook a try( Notebook was the only movie I didn’t like, It was over-rated for me).

So the Notebook also gave me the same vibes, same kind of characters who cheat on someone, but that someone isn’t a lead character so no one mind it at all, the same world, same instant connection…Whatever one did other forget it and forgive easily or wait for other for the whole life, I liked these stories back then now I just don’t feel any connection…When characters are teenage I can relate that they are reckless but most of the characters are in their 20’s or 30’s still they are hesitant to make decisions, It just doesn’t sit with me well.

It was the last chance I gave to his books, I read the blurb of his new book and it also sounds same to me. So I am sorry to say It is Good Bye Nicholas Sparks.
