First off, I like Nicholas Sparks books usually. I know many people scoff off at his name. But amongst the books of his that I have read, I have liked a few while others have been average. If you are into travel, you should read ‘Three weeks with my brother’, I really liked it.

About this book, it was good to begin with, and then it slowed down considerably in the middle. It’s been quite some time since I picked up a Nicholas Sparks so I forgot how it read like. I have got so used to fast-paced books now that it felt real slow and I did want to stop reading. But well, that quirk of mine of not wanting to leave books unfinished, kept me at it. And I am glad I did.

This is a cute, emotional story about a husband wanting to make amends for being a lousy husband all his life. And if you are one of them, pick up this book now. It will teach you a few lessons. And no, it’s not preachy.

It’s just a cute story. One thing I like about the author’s books is the emphasis on feelings and relationships and how it tugs at the heart.

When you reach the middle phase and feel like its chugging, I would ask you to go on, it pretty much makes it worth in the end.

In all, a beautiful story of love and life. Pick it up when you are in the mood for a slow, relaxed read.

At first it was slow reading & so much names were being thrown around,
Then as you read further everything & everybody comes into play. At the end
It was really beautiful how marriage or someone you love can become distant
Because we become comfortable or because our career or other things takes over & we don’t See how that ruin a relationship but in the end the love of a couple can be stronger & if they have the willingness to bring back the romance & feelings Like before when they first met.
Sorry don’t know what I’m saying!!!!!!

This one was actually so cute. At first I was like this legit has nothing to do with The Notebook. But as it went on it tied in and I loved it.

I really enjoyed this one cause of how different it was from the other ones. Like this was about a couple in their…50s falling back in love after being married for thirty years. I loved it.

And the whole ending was just fabulous and this time it wasn’t a heart wrenching plot twists like so many of the other Nicholas Sparks books I’ve read. It was a very wholesome ending and I’m here for it.

So I read the first book back in 2018 (lol) and for some odd reason I figured 2021 was a good time to dive into the sequel. Not sure why but whatever.

Since it has been a few years since I read the first one, I didn't really feel like re-reading it. Mostly because I just didn't have the time to find the first book before diving into this. Some would call that lazy and I would do the same.

Unlike the first book, this one definitely seemed to drag for me. So when a book does that and I'm beyond bored.. well, the wine was opened and I started to sip and simmer with the book. In the first book, we get to fall in love with Ally and Noah. With The Wedding, we get to meet Jane and Wilson. They were okay and had some cute moments.. but I was mostly bored with what was going on.

In the end, the romance was cute and I'm glad that Jane and Wilson found a way back to one another and renewed their vows. Other than that, it was an okay book that did absolutely nothing for me.

¡Me esperaba mucho más y nunca hice click con los personajes!

Con todo y que sale el viejo conocido Noah que me hizo llorar a mares con su historia, esta no me atrapó....

After forgetting his 29th wedding anniversary, Wilson is determined to make it up to his wife Jane, who is also the daughter to Noah and Allie from The Notebook (5 stars), the first in this series.

The simple and plain writing style made this a very quick and enjoyable read. Even though this was a follow up to The Notebook, I think it could easily be read as a standalone. But also, The Notebook is so good that you'll want to read both. The Wedding follows Wilson as he tries to overcome his shortcomings and prove to Jane that he is still worth loving. Wilson's change of heart embodies the epiphany every woman wishes their husband of 30 years would have when faced with an empty nest!

This was my very first Nicholas Sparks book. I never had time nor made time for reading, other than educational reads for health and career. I decided to choose a book in the airport before boarding the plane. I figured it may keep my mind off of flying- I never in my life thought I would spend the next 3 days unable to put the book down. From that day on I continue to read Nicholas Sparks books. For me I find his books to be captivating, always drawing me in and keeping me there as I continue to be unable to put his books down. I truly enjoy his novels and I now enjoy reading for pleasure. I must admit his books make me cry, but I still love to read them!

This book was different in two ways. First, it was written in one person's point of view, the male character. Second, it is not a story about two people meeting and falling in love. No. These couple met and married each other. And the story starts off thirty years later. This book was so adorable. I thought it was realistic and it had zero percent cheesiness. I learned a lot about marriage from Wilson, the husband. I learned that marriage is a battle everyday where you have to fight to keep the romance alive. I also learned that in order to keep your marriage strong, you have to appreciate, compliment and listen to your spouse. And always be there and make them know that you'll always be there for them. What else can I say about this book? I loved the surprise ending of course! Nicholas always writes the best conclusions. And I am proud to say that i knew what would happen even though it wasn't obvious. Still, i was totally surprised! I also learned that if you want to get your spouse the perfect present, you don't need to worry about the details because it'll come from the heart and you'll know what to get him/her. I thought the present Wilson got was perfectly thoughtful and romantic. All in all, it was good to read something different for a change. I would really love to see this turn into a movie though.

Wasn't as good as The Notebook, but it was fine.. Sparks has this effect on me of always being able to shed at least a tear throughout his books, and even in times I think that the story is going to be plain he comes up with a surprising turn in the events.
This is a story of the renewal of love, of vows, of compassion, and how it is possible for a couple to learn how to love each other again no matter how disappointed one is in the other.
