3.5*

Love it!
Couldn't Isabel Allende write another, and another and another and another......
Alexander and Nadia, or better yet, Jaguar and Eagle have truly lived a life. So full of adventure and thrill and excitement. Mysteries and battles.
How do they always come out alive!!

LOVE IT!!

(The only thing I am in disagreement about is that the missionary is laughed at, and Catholicism is ofended.)

In the third and final book of the Memories of the Eagle and the Jaguar trilogy, we are transported to Kenya of Africa, and from there to a secluded village in the middle of nowhere, Ngumbe, where there is a regime of terror from a cold-blood king named Kosongo. The Pygmies and their role in the mystery of the village, it's unfolded in a very interesting way, while the characteristic style of the author, despite the limitations of the story (starting from the protagonists themselves and their metaphysical abilities, which here seem somewhat unnecessary), is distinct to the end. Perhaps because even if the subject is transferred to another country, it refers to a similar situation as in her most famous works about Chile. The plot-twist in the story was indeed inventive and had a great symbolic effect on the oppressive forms of people, something like a western with an African style.

This is the final in a fun middle grade trilogy.

This round Kate Cold is commissioned to go to Africa and try the very first Elephant Safari in which they ride the elephants, it all goes well until a fabulous female pilot arrives to take them home and they meet a Mormon missionary that begs her and them to fly him to a small remote village that is feared.

Its feared because of a Warlord, the Commander and so call Wizard rule this place and he's suspicious that the other two missionaries are dead. So with some convincing Kate, Alex and Nadia and a few others go to see what can be done, but as perusal things go unplanned.

Soon there introduced to a band of Pigmies that just want to live I the forest but can't because they have to collect ivory for the Warlord so they can see there wives ( who clean for him ) and there kids ( held onto for ransom ).

Nadia goes straight away to help the Pigmies by getting the whole team to help over through the Warlord with Pigmy help once a particularly sacred item is recollected form the Warlord, along with there special magical abilities won the day.

This one had the most adult sort of teams but the ending was very sweet and over all made the entire trilogy very fun. Only wish she had written about them as adults.
