Great series of books, would read again!

it is namely the longest / thickest book I read. but the fastest book I read.
Because the story attracts you to continue reading.
It has a lot of action / fantasy ...
I recommend reading this book.

Despite part one being quite slow, it offers necessary background in order to continue the book. Part 2 picks up really fast and goes a lot faster overall when compared to part one. Such an amazing book regardless.

Luego de muchos años Bilbo Bolsón le encomienda a su parentesco Frodo a custodiar el anillo único, sin embargo este no sabe toda la aventura que se le avecina, llena de persecución y desesperación para lograr el objetivo de esta magistral aventura. Además J.R.R Tolkien nos introducirá en un mundo de fantasía increíble el cual está muy bien sustentado y argumentado, la implementación de nuevos personajes llenos de curiosidades y preguntas hace que la lectura se convierta más intrigante cada vez que avanzas. Es la primera vez que leo fantasía y creo que comencé con el correcto ya que este autor me presento y demostró que la imaginación no tiene límites.

La guerra del anillo se convirtió en una Trilogía muy exitosa, sin embargo luego de acabar de leer el Hobbit, decidí a encaminarme  a explorar más este mundo fantástico ya que los comentarios que había escuchado al respecto de estos libros me cautivaron a querer leerlos, pues vaya sorpresa que me he llevado ya que quede encantado, quizás se me hizo un poco tedioso la primera parte del libro, sin embargo me di cuenta que esta era necesaria para la sustentación y argumentación de todos lo que compone este mundo “La Tierra Media”, es un libro con una narrativa muy sencilla y es fácil de comprender.

Un clásico imprescindible para los lectores de fantasía que necesitaba leer. La trama y la acción son algo lentas aunque en general es interesante. Hecho para poder leer con tranquilidad más que de rato en rato en el tren :S

সারুমানের অর্করা ব্রোমিরকে হত্যা করে মেরি ও পিপিনক�� অপহরণ করলে তাদের ফিরে পাওয়ার উদ্দেশ্যে অ্যারাগর্ন, ল্যাগোলাস, গিমলি অর্কদের পিছু ধাওয়া করে একসময় গ্যান্ডালফের সন্ধান লাভ করে যে "গ্যান্ডালফ দ্য হোয়াইটে" পরিণত হয়েছে।একসময় অর্করা রোহিরিম কর্তৃক নিহত হয় সে সুযোগে মেরি ও পিপিন ফ্যানগর্ন অরণ্যে পালিয়ে গিয়ে ট্রাইডার নামক এন্টের সাথে বন্ধুত্ব করে যে তাদের আইজেনগার্ডে নিয়ে যায় এবং স্বজাতির সহায়তায় আইজেনগার্ড ধ্বংস করে।এদিকে ফ্রোডো আর শ্যাম গোলামকে নিজেদের গাইড নিযুক্ত করে।পথিমধ্যে দেখা পায় ব্রোমিরের ভাই ফ্রোমিরের।
গ্যান্ডালফ দ্য হোয়াইট অ্যারাগর্ন, ল্যাগোলাস, গিমলিকে নিয়ে রোহিরিমের রাজা থিয়োডেনকে সারুমানের সম্পর্কে অবহিত করেন ও তাকে সারুমানের কবল মুক্ত করেন। হেম’স ডিপে তাঁরা সারুমানের বাহিনীর মুখোমুখি হন। এরপর হর্নবার্গের যুদ্ধে সারুমানের বাহিনী পরাস্ত হয়।প্যালানটির বা দর্শনপ্রস্তর যাকে সাউরানের চোখ বলা হয় পিপিন সেই পাথর কর্তৃক প্রভাবিত হলে দেখে পিপিনকে গন্ডোরে নিয়ে আসেন।অন্যদিকে রিংয়ের লোভে গোলাম বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করে শ্যাম ও ফ্রোডোকে মিনাস মর্গালের পাহাড়ি গুহায় শিলব নামক বিরাট মাকড়সার কাছে নিয়ে যায়।স্টিং ও গ্যালাড্রিয়েলের উপহার এরেনডিলের তারা-ভরা শিশির মাধ্যমে শ্যাম শিলবকে দূর করলেও শিলবের কামড়ে ফ্রোডো অচৈতন্য হয়ে পড়ে।তাকে মৃত ভেবে শ্যাম আংটি নিয়ে সরে যায় এবং অর্করা ফ্রোডোকে আবিষ্কার করে সিরিথ আঙ্গলে নিয়ে যায়।

If you had the power of the most powerful ring that could save your life would use it, even if it could kill you. Lord Of The Rings is a great series especially fellowship of the ring. Fellowship Of The Ring is mainly about trying to destroy the ring that created all.
Frodo, Sam, Gandalf, and so many other main characters, set off on a adventure to get rid of the one ring that controls all. A man by the name of Sauron put a majority of his power into this one ring. But Gandalf is afraid that the ring is going back to the dark lord a.k.a Sauron. After Frodo leaves the shire home to the hobbits he is pursued by 9 dark horsemen or Ringwraiths. After they discover this the head to the old forest and quickly become lost without the guidance of Gandalf the grey since he went on an urgent mission to the south. Luckily they run into a man named Tom which leads them out of the forest over several nights. After they the forest they meet this majestic man named strider. Frodo doesn’t know strider and he wants to take them off the beaten path after hearing stories of the ringwraiths. Frodo was not so foolish until the the innkeeper gave them an important letter, that was left by Gandalf many months ago that convinced Frodo to leave. Strider becomes a epic ranger in the story and saves Frodo, Sam, and two others many times. After this they go to an elvish council and decide as a group what to do with the ring. Frodo leaves the Elvish city and sets outward toward Mordor.
The personal connection to this book was the balance between good and evil. I say this because the ring is the most beautiful ring and always stays shiny but put it on and you slowly become a different person. I thought this book did live up to its promise because it’s a great start so far of the trilogy and don’t see it slowing down. The book does have really boring parts but those building parts build into amazing scenes so the long read is worth the wait. This was a great book and I will finish the rest of the series
This book is a good read for any fiction lover, the book is completely different to what is out there today. The book is an easy read at only 398 pages and time flies by while reading it. IF you want a good read READ THIS BOOK!

I read this book and finished it actually quite a while ago and it was an invaluable resource for writing parts of my dissertation. Besides that it's also genuinely a really wonderful read with reference to all sorts of excellent concept art, costume design and quotes from all areas of the team who worked on the Lord of the Rings films. I have to say I am very happy that I own the next one in this series too because it's very through and a really beautiful book to read thorough and discover so much about the process behind the film.

I definitely loved the way that the chapters were divided up as it made it easy to find pages relevant to areas such as props, races, particular character etc and I thought that the way it was all tied together with images, screen-grabs, paintings and other essential elements really showed the story of exactly how these films were made and how much work and consideration went into every detail. Overall a solid 4*s :)
