Awesome... But for B2 C challenging market.
Learning points with well crafted war strategy with marketing scenario of todays world.

Simply one of my favourite marketing books, and one that has completed changed my perspective on what it takes to understand the market. True that marketing tactics of previous centuries may not have survived today, but the argument the authors make is that military tactics are a fair comparison (no spoilers, but the reason they give sounds perfectly logical). If you enjoy the topic of History (specifically, military) and want to know more about Marketing, this is an easy enough of a read and a great way to get your feet wet.

A great book on Marketing from ancient wars to recent aggressive marketing tactics.a book worth reading for all the marketeers.The strategic square(beautifully describes marketing)- Defensive,Offensive,Flanking,Guerilla.

This is the 4th book in the ries an trout series that i have been reading, and to be honest, it is not very different than the others. somehow, the examples seem to very old, and it becomes a little difficult to relate it with the current market scenario. Some parts are excellent, specially burger wars, and cola wars. Extremely well written, and very unlike what I have read about these two wars in other books.

Amazing book, explains perfectly Marketing warfare strategies applied in famous companies across the globe. Helps explain with examples different concepts of marketing warfare while drawing parallels from conventional war strategies. You get to understand it very well, is super interesting and even people who are not familiar with marketing terminology can get the ideas.

"The best marketing book aren't written by Harvard Business School's teachers, the best marketing books are written by war generals.", this is a good startup.

Маркетинговые войны представляет интересную аналогию между войной и маркетингом, и автор утверждает, что стратегии и тактики, используемые в военном искусстве, могут быть применимы в маркетинге. Траут и Райс акцентирует внимание на важности стратегического подхода и создания инновационных продуктов для открытия новых рыночных ниш и захвата доли рынка.

Не могу проигнорировать факт, что книга устарела в своем подходе к маркетингу, сосредоточившись на методах, которые были актуальны до эпохи интернета и цифровых медиа. Что естественно, учитывая год выпуска. В ней нет и быть ничего не может об онлайн-присутствии, социальных сетях и цифровом маркетинге, что делает ее менее полезной в контексте современного маркетинга.

Тем не менее, какую-то долю пользы маркетологам-руководителям, которые интересуются стратегическим мышлением и созданием инновационных продуктов она принесет.

В целом, несмотря на ограничения и устаревший подход, маркетинговые войны будут полезной книгой для тех, кто желает получить базовое представление о стратегическом мышлении в маркетинге и роли инноваций в достижении конкурентных преимуществ. Её точно нужно комбинировать с более современными и актуальными источниками для полного понимания современного маркетинга. Ну я еще стоит почитать для галочки - ведь это не долго, а книга ведь легендарна в рекламных кругах.
