We get to follow the author on his pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, on his search for a sword and insight. This book shifts between being tedious, unbeliavable and deeply inspirational. It is easy to see how this journey lay the ground for works like "Veronica decides to die", "Zahir" and "the Alchemist". The basic idea is that we all have strenght and truth in us and we are all able to reach our dreams and goals. If only we set our minds to it and know what to do with the result. Human beings are extremely adept at thwarting their own paths to happiness and this is a book for re-routing to the right track.
