I have perused all of Raymond Feist's literary works in the past, with the exception of the trilogy to which this particular book belongs. I discovered this book to be an engaging narrative, albeit perhaps not reaching the same heights as the original trilogies. This specific volume has a certain resemblance to an Agatha Christie mystery in that it concludes with a convening of all the suspects in a single room, accompanied by the customary twist at the finale. Nevertheless, I did take pleasure in the characters, and the story managed to draw me in and hold my attention. Overall, while it may not be on par with Feist's earlier trilogies, it still offers an enjoyable reading experience for fans of his work and those who appreciate a good mystery with a touch of intrigue. It will be interesting to see how this book fits into the larger context of the trilogy and what further developments lie ahead for the characters and the story.
