Haste once again prevailed.

It was truly a delight to read about the warfare and the various strategies employed to maintain the unity of the kingdom. However, in the middle of the book, out of nowhere, some mysterious black power emerged. Its appearance seemed jarring to the story and style of the book, much like nails on a blackboard.

The book is in desperate need of refurbishment and re-editing to enhance its enjoyability. Despite the great story, the sudden introduction of this element disrupted the flow and detracted from the overall reading experience.

With some careful revisions and improvements, this book has the potential to be a truly outstanding work that captivates readers from beginning to end.

This is probably the Serpentwar that I've read the least. However, upon rereading it now, it's actually really fun.

Seeing the weight that Jimmy and Dash have to bear being Duke James' grandson is quite interesting. The way the legacy of Duke James splits between the two of them is great.

Patrick, on the other hand, is such a shithead. He rightfully gets what he deserves as a result.

The story has many engaging elements that draw the reader in. The relationship between Jimmy and Dash, as well as their connection to Duke James, adds depth and complexity.

The actions and consequences of the characters make for a thrilling read. Overall, despite having read it less than other works, the Serpentwar has proven to be an enjoyable and captivating story upon rereading.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the Serpentwar Sagas.

Even though I now realise that I should have started with The Rift Wars, these will definitely be visited in my future reading.

Raymond Feist is not afraid to kill off his daring characters, and this is a truly refreshing concept.

Even though I had fallen in love with those characters, it adds an element of unpredictability and excitement to the story.

The Serpentwar Sagas have taken me on an amazing adventure, filled with magic, battles, and complex characters.

I can't wait to see what else Raymond Feist has in store for us in his other works.

Overall, I highly recommend the Serpentwar Sagas to anyone who loves a good fantasy series.

It's a must-read for fans of the genre.

There are an abundance of truly annoying aspects to this book. However, I will focus on naming the most significant one. Feist presents us with hundreds of pages filled with intense battles, where our main characters are竭尽全力 to find solutions to the crisis of being overrun on two fronts. And what does the author do? He introduces a deus ex machina in the form of the wizard/sorcerer Pug. Pug simply FLIES in and employs some supercharged spells to fix everything. It's as if he is saying, "La-di-da! I did it!" I endured reading over 500 pages of this drivel, only to be left with such an ending. Feist had already done this in the previous book of the series, and I am truly shocked that he has repeated the same tactic here.

Ugh, the books in this series have steadily declined in quality. I'm not certain if all of his other books are any better, but after this experience, I have no intention of reading them.

In this book, Pug is presented in a certain way, as shown in the image:

Another remarkable book from Feist, this one concludes the Serpentwar Series. It feels more like a comprehensive book epilogue rather than a traditional final chapter (hopefully that description is understandable). One of the main reasons I didn't rate it a full 5 stars is that, although it was great, after being so impressed by the previous book, this one didn't quite deserve the full score in my opinion.

Also, I wish Feist had been a bit more innovative with the names. I understand his intention to honor past characters, which is a common practice among royalty. However, for the first third of the book, I was confused as to whether he was referring to a current character in the storyline or one from previous storylines. This also led to confusion regarding the character relationships. If your father has the same name as your son and they are both being discussed in the same context... it's bound to get confusing!

But, overall, the series remains strong. I believe some of the next books in the suggested reading timeline are flashback stories. It will be interesting to see how they unfold now that I am accustomed to the current timeline.

The first 200 pages of this book are all about people traveling and battle strategies, and it is insanely boring.

Feist hardly has any female characters with real substance. In fact, the only books that had good female characters were the ones he wrote in collaboration with Janny Wurts.

This series is truly awful and extremely boring. It lacks the excitement and depth that one would expect from a good novel. The story seems to drag on and on, and the characters are not engaging enough to keep the reader interested.

Overall, I would not recommend this series to anyone looking for an exciting and engaging read. There are far better books out there that can provide a more enjoyable reading experience.

Essentially, this book serves as an extended epilogue to "Rage of a Demon King", yet it remains a solid read and a fitting conclusion to The Serpentwar Saga. Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed this quadrilogy. However, I do feel that the middle two books were perhaps the best. This particular installment had some of the same issues as "Dark Queen", with a rather slow first half. Nevertheless, the second half more than made up for it. But, it's still Feist at his absolute best. I will most definitely continue the series after this. Even though I am aware that the next couple of trilogies are prequels and not as highly regarded, I firmly believe that Feist is still worthy of my time. If he can recapture some of the magic that he achieved with the Riftwar books and this 4-book series, then I'm sure it will be well worth the investment.

This is the most satisfying read among the whole 4 books.

I had no idea that I would read them all so quickly, one after another.

Typically, I would become bored with a series and require a break after finishing the second book.

However, this series has been truly captivating.

The storylines are engaging, the characters are well-developed, and the writing style is excellent.

Each book builds upon the previous one, creating a seamless and exciting narrative.

I found myself completely immersed in the world of the series and couldn't put the books down.

It's rare for a series to hold my attention like this, and I'm so glad I discovered it.

I would highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good read.

The least favorite Riftwar subseries, to date, has been a bit of a disappointment.

It seems to lack the excitement and depth that the other installments had. However, I still have high hopes for the next two series.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what new adventures and characters they will bring. Maybe they will redeem the subseries and make it more enjoyable.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and eagerly awaiting their release. I believe that the authors have the potential to create something truly amazing with these upcoming series.

Hopefully, they will be able to recapture the magic of the original Riftwar and take the story to new heights.

I can't wait to dive back into this world and see what awaits me.

A wonderful end to the thrilling Serpent War Saga.

Feist doesn't miss when aiming to conclude characters and stories that were started long before. This book truly shines as it focuses more on the 'war' aspect. The intense battles that each person engages in to reclaim the lands are vividly described, making the reader feel as if they are right in the middle of the action.

Though I personally would have liked a little more page time given to some of the previous protagonists I had grown fond of, such as Eric, I still thoroughly enjoyed following the footsteps of Dash and Jimmy. Their adventures and growth throughout the story were engaging and kept me hooked from start to finish.

The fantasy and magic that Feist weaves into the narrative, along with themes and relations that seem all too relevant, is simply captivating. The pages seem to fly by, with 1 to 50 passing in the blink of an eye. The hunger to want a conclusion to this 4 part saga is counteracted with the hope that it doesn't end!

Another excellent instalment from a master of his craft, this is certain to be a collection I come back to in the future. It's a must-read for any fan of fantasy literature.

The initial one-third of this story was rather monotonous and dull. It seemed to lack the excitement and energy that one might expect. However, things took a significant turn for the better.

As the story progressed, it quickly picked up the pace. The last 200 or so pages were truly amazing. They were filled with thrilling plot twists, intense emotions, and captivating characters.

I HIGHLY recommend this series. It has the ability to draw you in and keep you engaged until the very end. Whether you're a fan of mystery, romance, or adventure, this series has something for everyone.

These last two Feist novels have truly been rather wonderful. It feels like a glorious return to the grand epic-style stakes and battles that initially drew me to this remarkable writer.

The aftermath of the Serpentwar is a captivating focus, mainly centering on the fate of the survivors from all corners of the world, who are scrambling to take control of the rubble. As we follow some rather sympathetic characters in this chaotic scenario, INCLUDING a significant presence of Pug, I have discovered a plethora of action and intrigue to cherish.

But more importantly, aside from the thrilling big battles, I have a particular penchant for the revelations about the gods. And the consequences of our long-lived characters' choices. This kind of thing is not only highly satisfying but also sets the stage for the remainder of the series to have some truly spectacular blowouts.

Mad gods, sleeping gods, new avatars, new religions... it's all simply great. However, I especially love how lawless this place has become. And Pug's final decision. I wholeheartedly agree with him. Screw them all. :) It's just not worth it. :)

It's going to be an incredibly wild time during the rebuilding. :)
