Please, please it can't end here!

This is an outstanding book that impacts you on multiple levels. Firstly, it delves into the theme of people discovering themselves and learning to live either in the shadows of legends or as legends themselves. This aspect normalizes the characters, making you view them as ordinary individuals influenced by extraordinary circumstances.

On another plane, it presents a remarkable military campaign. The kingdom of the west is engaged in a two-front battle, and only Feist has the ability to transport you into this intense scenario with such vividness.

However, the only drawback of this book is its conclusion. There are numerous hints and suspicions regarding Nakor scattered throughout the text, yet we still know relatively little about his heritage. Personally, I am extremely eager to learn the fate of Eric and the Crimson Eagles. Will Patrick establish a standing army with Erik as the general?

I sincerely hope that one day Feist will grace us with another magnificent adventure, allowing us to reunite with our old friends and continue exploring this captivating world.

The end of the Serpentwar was truly a remarkable conclusion. Overall, it was a very solid ending. I particularly liked the fact that this book centered mainly on Dash and Jimmy this time. I found Dash's character to be extremely charming and interesting. His inevitable decision at the end of the book felt just right to me.

Primarily, this was a significant wrap-up for all the lingering plot threads from the previous traumatic book where a large number of characters met their demise. There was some fallout, mostly in the form of picking up the pieces. And finally, it set the stage for the entire series to progress from this point forward.

I'm looking forward to seeing where this journey takes us next. However, I'm not entirely sure how excited I am about having six or seven flashback books (considering one series is based on a 90s adventure PC game) before we return to Pug and his friends dealing with their new shadow-war. But after reading 13 books in the Riftwar series so far, I guess I'm fairly committed at this point.

A good ending, or is it? This is one of Feist's better series. It is filled with lots of action, intrigue, spies, poisonings, and evil magic. If you have a penchant for fantasy adventure, then this book and the Serpent War series have an abundance of it.

Winter is coming to an end. The war that halted at Nightmare Ridge might have concluded, but the Western capitol remains in enemy hands, as does a significant portion of the western nation. One thing is certain: the remnants of the Emerald Queen's army are not going to disappear quietly. Their continent lies in ruins halfway across the world. So, why not seize a section of the bitter sea and proclaim oneself king?

The task at hand is to retake Krondor, unseat the vast army to the north, and prevent Kesh from interfering or invading from the south. How difficult could that be? And what about the stirrings of dark powers deep within the enemies' camp? These questions add an extra layer of mystery and excitement to the story, leaving readers eager to discover what lies ahead.

It was truly a wonderful experience to finally reach the end of the Serpent war after a long wait of 5 years.

Surprisingly, I didn't have to read the other books in the series first to have a full understanding of this one.

The story had an immediate impact on me, instantly transporting me back into that thrilling world and leading me from one intense battle to another.

It was like a delicious feast for my imagination, keeping me on the edge of my seat throughout.

The vivid descriptions and engaging plot made it impossible for me to put the book down.

I was completely immersed in the adventures and conflicts, feeling every emotion along with the characters.

Overall, it was a highly satisfying read that left me eager for more.

I can't wait to see what other stories the author has in store for us.

**4.5 stars** - Almost a 5 star!

I firmly believe that I have derived the greatest pleasure from this book among all the installments in this sub-series. It also ranks among the very top for me within this vast world created by the author.

This book is filled with non-stop action, boasting numerous battle scenes that I thoroughly enjoy. Feist has an uncanny ability to pen these scenes in such a way that it makes you feel as if you are right there in the thick of the action.

In this particular volume, we bid farewell to many characters that I had grown to love. This is, of course, par for the course with this author. However, he compensates by introducing a host of new characters, and I am filled with hope that I will get to know and like them just as much.

The book was neatly wrapped up, serving as a wonderful conclusion to this trilogy. I will most definitely be forging ahead to discover where the story leads from here!

So far, it's my least enjoyed book of the story.

To me, it was just a series of many battle scenes that seemed to be repeated at different locations.

There was a lack of variety and depth in the plot, making it feel rather monotonous.

The only parts that I found enjoyable were Pug's magic scenes and Thomas's battle near the end.

Pug's magical abilities added an element of excitement and wonder, while Thomas's battle was intense and engaging.

However, these moments were not enough to salvage the overall experience of the book.

I'm really hoping that the next book in the series will be more enjoyable.

I'm looking forward to seeing new and interesting storylines, more developed characters, and a greater sense of adventure.

Maybe the next book will be the one that truly captures my imagination and makes me fall in love with the series all over again.

**Title: The Importance of elibrary**

In today's digital age, elibrary has emerged as a revolutionary concept.

It offers a vast collection of books, journals, research papers, and other educational resources that can be accessed electronically.

One of the greatest advantages of elibrary is its convenience. Users can access the materials from anywhere in the world, at any time, as long as they have an internet connection.

This means that students, researchers, and anyone with a thirst for knowledge can easily find and read the information they need without having to visit a physical library.

Another benefit of elibrary is its cost-effectiveness. Many elibraries offer free access to their resources, which can save users a significant amount of money on purchasing books and subscribing to journals.

Moreover, elibrary also helps to reduce paper waste and environmental pollution by reducing the need for printing and distributing physical books.

In conclusion, elibrary is an essential tool for anyone who wants to access high-quality educational resources in a convenient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly way.

Man, I've had a truly strange experience reading this series.

I adored the first half of the first book. The story was captivating, and I was completely immersed. However, the ending let me down. It felt rushed and didn't live up to the expectations set by the first part.

The second book was a complete disaster for me. I detested it and would rate it only one star. The plot seemed disjointed, and the characters didn't engage me at all.

Thankfully, the third book was a return to form. I loved it and gave it a full five stars. The story was exciting, and the characters' development was excellent.

This fourth book was also quite good, but the climax was rather pitiful. It lacked the excitement and tension that I was hoping for.

After reading Sanderson's essays on the laws of magic, I'm really beginning to understand why using magic to solve problems is directly proportional to how well the reader understands the magic system. In Feist's books, there is no clear magic system. It's just random magic that appears whenever the main characters are in trouble, especially during boss battles. And it always feels anticlimactic.

What I did love about this series was Erik and his development. He was a great character, and I enjoyed seeing him grow throughout the books. I'm also glad that Roo got his comeuppance and changed for the better. He was a character that I could hardly bear reading about in the beginning.

Once again, there were a couple of loose ends that are so typical of Feist's books. Calis, for example, was a main character for the first three books but barely featured in the fourth. The same goes for Roo. I understand that Calis had his big moment in book 3, but for a character who cared so much about the invasion from Novindus, it seems very out of character for him to retreat to his home and do nothing in the final chapter of this saga.

Oh well, Feist has his moments. I've read 12 of his books, and on average, they're three-star novels. This one was a fraction better, and I'm also happy to see that he's improving on his dialogue. I remember in "Magician," his dialogue felt so static and as if everyone was constantly stating the obvious. There was no subtlety or subtext. But that's improved dramatically since his debut book.

Continuing my re-read,

I definitely liked this one more than the last one. However, I don't think it can be compared to the first two which placed more emphasis on individual character development. By this stage, it feels as if Feist is attempting to conclude the stories of numerous different people. Many of the chapters shift rapidly between various points of view without delving into any real depth. I understand the reason behind it, but it just makes it challenging for me to establish a connection with the characters.

I did find the position of the magicians rather interesting, considering their legal obligations and world-altering powers. Additionally, I was quite intrigued by the 'lesser men' argument. I think it was stated very succinctly that the character quality has deteriorated since the riftwar, perhaps partly because their children have strived to live up to their legends and have also been raised differently.

It is both fascinating and remarkable that Feist was able to depict this deterioration through character interactions and 'growth'. Probably the only thing I would mention (and this has been a recurring point since the Empire trilogy) is that Feist writes incredibly flawed and genuine male characters, but seems incapable of writing women as 'people'.
