Hinata Asahi, how I would like to be you...

You are so talented and have achieved so much in your field. Your skills and abilities are truly remarkable. I often find myself looking up to you and wishing that I could have the same level of success.

Every time I see you perform, I am filled with admiration and inspiration. Your passion and dedication shine through in everything you do. It makes me want to work harder and strive for excellence in my own life.

I wonder what it would be like to have your confidence and determination. To be able to face challenges head-on and never give up. I believe that if I could learn from you, I would become a better person.

Hinata Asahi, you are my role model, and I will continue to look up to you and learn from you. Maybe one day, I will be able to achieve great things just like you.

This review pertains to all three volumes of this manga. I believe that the individual volumes lack sufficient substance to warrant three separate reviews.

In this story, it seems as if almost nothing of significance occurs. Essentially, Asahi wakes up, greets her stuffed bears, is happy about everything and anything, her friends worry about her, and she decides that her teacher is extremely perfect.

Even the "drama" in the third volume failed to raise my pulse in the slightest.

I chose to obtain this manga because I was in the mood for some sugary sweetness and naivety. Looking at characters like Tomoyo, Sakura, and their friends from Card Captor Sakura or Hikaru from Magic Knight Rayearth (plus my general love for all things CLAMP), I thought this would be right up my alley.

However, I was mistaken.

Asahi is not endearingly sweet and naive; she is downright stupid. At times, it was actually painful to read.

Don't misunderstand me. I truly appreciate it when characters possess an innate goodness and believe in the world and humanity. I admire those who are always optimistic and manage to be happy about even the tiniest things in life, even after experiencing hardships.

But this girl. I don't know what to say. She's impervious to anything. She basically ignores anything vaguely negative that her friends try to warn her about. I can only imagine how frustrated those two girls must be at the end of each day.

She's essentially a kindergartener trapped in the body of a high school student. Only her happy little world matters. Even her favorite books are picture books.

And this makes the "romance" rather creepy. I feel that it could have potentially been cute if they had developed an "adoptive family" relationship, but they made it abundantly clear that Asahi's feelings were romantic in nature. Her and Asou even met in almost the exact same way Sakura's parents met in Card Captor Sakura, yet it wasn't as creepy there (even if it was still somewhat questionable).

Heck, even the strange promise-ring-to-an-elementary-school-girl scene in CCS was less creepy than this, which is quite an accomplishment!

The other characters also remained one-dimensional. I almost feel like I need to apologize to Yasha-Oh from RG Veda, whom I've constantly criticized for having no personality.

The only one who seemed somewhat human was probably Toko.

(I feel like I'm only giving two stars instead of one here because I have read worse.)

TL;DR: CLAMP should stick to stories with magic and wonder, where people lose eyes and everything they cherish. They excel at those types of storylines.

This was so adorable.

It was truly a wonderful ending to the series.

The story had been building up to this moment, and it did not disappoint.

The characters had come a long way, and their growth was evident.

The final scene was filled with warmth and love, leaving the viewers with a feeling of satisfaction.

The series as a whole had been a joy to watch, with its engaging plot, charming characters, and beautiful cinematography.

It will surely be missed by many fans.

This ending was the perfect way to conclude the story and give the characters the happy ending they deserved.

It was a memorable moment that will stay with us for a long time.

Overall, it was a great series with an adorable and wonderful ending.

Unfortunately, it is not one of the most brilliant works of Clamp.

I admit that if I had known them with this, I would have abandoned them or labeled them as "mediocre manga that do the same old thing". The biggest problem is surely the lack of Mokona's drawing: Nekoi uses a dull, almost sketchy line, which makes her characters inexpressive.

In Wish, Lawful Drug (+ Drug and Drop) and xxxHolic, I have surely found it much more mature, even though chronologically the series dedicated to the Dimension Witch is recent while the others are antecedents and this makes me perplexed.

As for the story, now that I have completed the overall reading, I can affirm with certainty that it is a mediocre work: I have a fixation on Clamp, everyone knows it, so I bought these manga to complete the collection.

Well, if you like light manga, buy them (after all, there are only 3 volumes); if you don't like them, avoid them.

The protagonist is so good that she borders on stupidity, she is childish and annoying. The whole story of the kidnappings, the tragic background, her friends who worry and she... invites a stranger, a suspicious guy, into her house because she likes him!

Then the tenth kidnapping that occurs and is resolved in the space of two pages and ends with snacks and wine... and this love story? It doesn't exist.

So what are 3 volumes for? To show the protagonist singing, dancing, cooking, thinking, agonizing over patrols for an adult man who "she likes because she likes him". Huh.

Cute is cute, but surely it is not up to the level of the great artists.

Maybe it disappointed me because I was hoping to find something different and instead it is just a delicate adolescent platonic love... but anyway let me say that 4.20€ per volume is a rip-off for a story of this kind.

Luckily I bought them used at a ridiculous price, otherwise I would have gone crazy.

I recommend it only to those who are already fans and can bear to read something different. If it's your first series, look elsewhere: even Angelic Layer - which in itself is not that brilliant - is already a good start. The best would be to start from Tokyo Babylon or X, alternatively dive into Rayearth (a great choice if you love robots and magic) and you will discover the real Clamp. Only after that read this, but I repeat: read it as a fan with unwavering faith, because this manga is a bit of a letdown.

And not just the arms.

I have a great love for reading various types of articles.

Recently, I came across an interesting one that really caught my attention.

The beginning of the article set the stage quite well, introducing the topic in an engaging manner.

As I delved further into it, I found that the middle part was filled with detailed information and examples that helped to enhance my understanding.

Like the part nearing the end, and I especially enjoy the stories about bears.

These bear stories added a touch of excitement and charm to the overall article.

They made me imagine the lives of these magnificent creatures in the wild.

I could picture them roaming through the forests, searching for food and interacting with their environment.

The descriptions were so vivid that it felt as if I was right there with them.

Overall, this article was a pleasure to read, and I look forward to finding more like it in the future.

Amazing Series

I have an overwhelming love for this entire series!! It is truly remarkable and I can effortlessly envision myself reading it not just once, but numerous times over. The art within it is executed in the most beautiful and captivating manner. Every page is a visual treat that enhances the overall experience of the story. I am eagerly looking forward to delving into more works from the talented CLAMP. Their ability to create such engaging and enchanting worlds is truly outstanding. I cannot wait to see what other masterpieces they have in store for us. :):):)

Nope, that’s definitely objectively bad.

I can’t stand Hina. Her character is just so unlikable and there’s nothing redeeming about her.

The plot is also completely useless. It goes nowhere and there’s no real story or development.

And don’t even get me started on the personalities of all the characters. They’re just so boring and one-dimensional.

I’m so sorry Clamp, but the art is bad too. It’s not as detailed or beautiful as their other works.

What’s up with the finale with her friend? It was just so strange and didn’t make any sense.

Don’t think that all these reviews are low just because of the creepy large age gap. This manga is truly awful in every aspect.

It’s a waste of time and I would not recommend it to anyone.

I did it. I finally finished this awful series! Good riddance, Hina, and may you have a tragic cameo in Tsubasa!

Honestly, if I wasn't determined to read all of CLAMP's books, I would have毫不犹豫地 chucked this series out of a window into oncoming traffic. This volume had the least tense kidnapping I've ever witnessed. The relationship between a high-schooler and a man twice her age was super uncomfortable. And there was this mopey kid who did nothing but whine throughout the entire series while our main character pranced around danger.

I truly believe that if they had replaced Hina with a more competent (and older) heroine, this series would have been much more bearable. There was one particular scene where I thought, "This could be interesting. There's someone in the house and the characters are in complete darkness. Maybe there will actually be some suspense!" But then Hina opened her mouth and released the tension like a popped balloon.

And we keep taking these breaks to read this kid's book that basically recaps what we've read so far. "Did you get that, audience? She likes the teacher and trusts him implicitly for no reason! Did you get that? Do you see how in love she is and how he doesn't reciprocate her feelings? Do. You. Get. It?" Yes, Suki, I get it, and it's really dumb. The text is also three sizes smaller than the rest of the book, so you have to squint to figure out what the plot is, not that there's much of a plot to begin with.

If I keep ranting, I'll be here all day. So here are some rapid-fire issues with this volume: Our leading man doesn't show any positive emotion towards Hina until the very last few pages, and even then he looks bored and uninterested. He and the author's bodyguard look the same, and I kept mixing them up. Emi is an idiot and could have just asked Hina for the money and/or simply said she kidnapped her and let it play out. Touko does absolutely nothing despite being the designated voice of reason, and I hate her for getting my hopes up. Hina clearly needs therapy as she has reverted to a child-like state after nine successful kidnappings.

If you liked this series, that's fine. But for me, it's been a self-inflicted torment that has finally come to an end.

See you in the next review.

The most obvious and hasty ending that the story could have had.

It's not necessarily bad, but there's nothing good or special about it after finishing reading it. Sadly, because I was already really liking the story.

It seems that the author might have run out of ideas or simply wanted to wrap things up quickly. This abrupt ending leaves the reader with a sense of dissatisfaction and a feeling that more could have been done.

However, it's important to remember that every story has its own flaws and no one can create a perfect piece of work. Maybe with some revisions and more thought put into the conclusion, this story could have been even better.

Despite the disappointing ending, I still appreciate the effort that went into writing the story and hope that the author will continue to improve and create more engaging works in the future.

I am a die-hard CLAMP fan. I have devoured the majority of their manga series, although I haven't read every single one. If you were to pose the question to me about which one I consider the worst, without hesitation, I would name Suki.

First and foremost, Hina is extremely obnoxious. She is not only immature to an irritating degree but also unrealistically naive. It's almost impossible to relate to her character or understand her actions.

Secondly, Emi is just plain despicable. There is no way I could ever find it in my heart to forgive her for her actions and behavior. She is truly a character that I can't stand.

Thankfully, there are a few redeeming characters in the series. Asou-sensei and his two "friends" are the only ones who manage to salvage some of the story's value. Their presence adds a touch of depth and interest that would otherwise be lacking.

The concept of platonic love in Suki could have been interesting if it weren't for Hina's attitude. She acts like an elementary school-age child, which makes the whole thing rather annoying and hard to take seriously.

Finally, the art in Suki is not on par with CLAMP's other works. While I understand that there can be differences in art styles among different artists, it still feels like a letdown compared to their usual high standards.

"Un peu nunuchon" is a rather interesting and perhaps somewhat mysterious expression. It could potentially refer to a person or a situation that has a hint of being overly cautious or perhaps even a bit prissy.

Imagine a character in a story who is described as "un peu nunuchon." This person might be hesitant to take risks, always overly concerned with following the rules and maintaining a certain level of propriety. They might be the type who carefully weighs every decision, afraid of making a misstep.

In a social setting, this individual could come across as a bit standoffish or overly reserved. Others might find it difficult to engage with them on a deeper level because of their guarded nature. However, it's important to note that being "un peu nunuchon" doesn't necessarily mean that a person is bad or unlikable. It could simply be a part of their personality that makes them who they are.

Overall, the term "un peu nunuchon" adds a touch of intrigue and complexity to our understanding of human behavior and character.

And thus my suffering ends!

This volume, to some extent, was better paced than the previous ones. However, the story itself remains complete garbage, and there is no way to fix that fundamental flaw.

The end, in terms of the teacher/student age gap, was slightly less frightening than what I had initially imagined. It still had its uncomfortable moments, but perhaps not to the extreme I had feared.

Overall, while the pacing improvement was a small plus, it couldn't salvage the otherwise abysmal quality of the story. The age gap issue continued to be a major drawback, even if it wasn't as bad as I had thought it might be.

I'm just glad that this particular volume is over, and I can move on to something else that hopefully offers a more engaging and satisfying reading experience.
