She might just be the stupidest woman in creation (although I do feel a tiny bit bad for her and Urhi). Let me recap a conversation she had with her brother in Vol 16:

Moreover, the wife of the king does not automatically assume this position. As seen with the previous king, who was killed by Nakia a few volumes ago, his wife never had any talk of becoming Tawannana in place of Nakia.

So, why does Nakia go to such lengths? What is her true goal? Honestly, the idea of demonic possession would seem more logical than her current actions. And indeed, this lack of clear motivation is truly holding the entire series back. It makes it difficult for the readers to fully engage and understand the story when the main driving force behind one of the central characters remains a mystery.
