I have a great passion for the battle between Yoruichi and Soi Fon. It commenced in volume 18 and carried on here. I firmly believed that the battle between Ichigo and Rukia's brother would be equally remarkable. In fact, I think that if the Viz edition had incorporated the original color art, it would have been simply astonishing and left me completely awestruck.

Even without the color, the presentation was still very good. However, it just didn't reach the level of being truly great.

Interestingly, one of the most outstanding moments in this volume is a sort of cliffhanger. Here, the reader is aware that something dreadful is on the verge of occurring, yet is unsure precisely what it is. This sense of anticipation and mystery adds an extra layer of excitement and keeps the reader on the edge of their seat, eagerly awaiting the next installment to discover what will unfold.

WHO DID IT?

This simple question can often lead to a world of mystery and speculation. When something occurs, whether it's a crime, an act of kindness, or an unexpected event, the first thought that crosses our minds is "who did it?"

The search for the culprit or the doer can be a complex and challenging task. It may involve gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and analyzing the situation from different angles. Sometimes, the answer is obvious, but more often than not, it remains hidden beneath a web of clues and uncertainties.

In some cases, the identity of the person who did it may have far-reaching consequences. It could determine the fate of a criminal, the outcome of a legal case, or the course of someone's life. On the other hand, it could also bring recognition and praise to the person responsible for a good deed.

Regardless of the nature of the act, the question "who did it?" continues to intrigue us and drive us to seek the truth. It is a fundamental part of our human curiosity and our desire to understand the world around us.

This Ichigo vs. Byakuya fight was truly impressive.

The battle showcased Byakuya's Bankai, Senbon Zakura Kageyoshi, which was a sight to behold. The countless petals of his zanpakutô飞舞 in the air, creating a beautiful yet deadly display. And then there was Ichigo's bankai. At first glance, it might have seemed to take the mere form of a zanpakutô, but appearances can be deceiving. It still harboured an outstanding destructive power that could rival Byakuya's.

The fight remained on edge until the second personality/hollow mask was explained. This added an extra layer of complexity to the battle, as Ichigo had to grapple with this inner conflict while also facing off against Byakuya. The tension was palpable as the two powerful opponents clashed, each determined to emerge victorious. Overall, this fight was a thrilling and unforgettable moment in the Bleach series.

Can Yoruichi get any hotter? I firmly believe not. She is the absolute baddest beauty I have ever laid eyes on. When she stripped into that body-con jumpsuit, it was simply mind-blowing. SHEESH!

As Soi Fon had a flashback to basically worshipping Yoruichi, all I could think was, "Same, mood, me."

Can Ikkaku please explain "Laws of nature, MY FOOT!!!"? Was it too explicit to say "my ass"? Surely, if Kon can embark on "Mr. Kon's EROTIC soul society conquest," Ikkaku should be able to have an ass.

Orihime needs to stop making me jealous with statements like "Mr. Zaraki even gave me a piggy back ride!!!!" I so desperately want him to give me a piggy back ride too. :(

So, it seems Captain Aizen is definitely coming back to life in the next volume... and that's my only prediction. I just miss the entire gang so much. :( There hasn't been any Chad content in quite a while.

I truly hope to see more of all of them in the upcoming volumes.

The Soul Society is in a rather precarious situation and it has become imperative for them to whip their people into shape.

The members of the Soul Society have grown complacent and lackadaisical in their ways. This has led to a decline in their overall efficiency and effectiveness.

To address this issue, strict measures need to be implemented. There should be regular training sessions to enhance the skills and abilities of the people. Discipline must be enforced to ensure that everyone adheres to the rules and regulations.

Moreover, a sense of responsibility and pride should be instilled in the hearts of the people. They need to understand the importance of their roles and the impact they have on the Soul Society as a whole.

By whipping their people into shape, the Soul Society can once again rise to its former glory and safeguard the balance between the living and the dead.

Soi Fon believes she has the upper hand in her battle against Yoruichi. She thinks that her former commander has been inactive for the past century. However, she is about to get a rude awakening.

Ikkaku and Iba are, as always, drinking and arguing. They speculate about who Captain Kuchiki is fighting up by the Sokyoku. Iba doesn't recognize the spiritual pressure, but Ikkaku suspects it's Ichigo, knowing how strong he is. And he is right. The battle is still going on, even after Rukia has been safely taken away from the battlefield.

Ichigo is still demanding an answer from Kuchiki as to why he is trying to kill his own sister. Byakuya is determined to crush Ichigo, confident that Ichigo can never match him. Seriously, even if he has to release his bankai, Ichigo can't possibly do that. Or can he?

Well, that arrogant jerk is in for a surprise.

Meanwhile, Uryu, Orihime, Chad, and Ganju are hurrying towards the top of the hill, not sure if that's where Ichigo is. Why is Ichigo still fighting since Rukia has already been saved? Uryu explains that she won't be safe until Ichigo completely defeats the enemy. Otherwise, they will still try to execute her. That makes sense. But can he do it?

When the smoke of battle clears, who will be left standing?

Meanwhile, Hitsugaya and Matsumoto are confronted with a horrific sight. The Council of 46 are all dead, murdered, and not recently. Who did this horrible thing? And since they were killed some time ago, who has been issuing orders in their name? Is someone trying to frame Hitsugaya for what has happened? Who would do such a thing and why?

Just when you think the battle is won, new battle lines are drawn, and new mysteries emerge. I love watching them unfold, especially since I know what awaits in the next volume. In this volume, Byakuya is realizing that Ichigo is more than he expected and not as easily defeated as he thought.

I love Tite Kubo's characterizations. His characters are not one-dimensional. There is no such thing as all good or all evil; there are many shades of gray. Not even Rukia's brother is completely bad; he just has an extremely high opinion of himself. Even Ichigo has his dark side.

I love seeing the backstories of the characters. This time, we got some insights into Soi Fon and Yoruichi, and the past is shedding light on the present.

Looking forward to the next volume!

"Darn it... I thought I could go a little farther, but I guess I was wrong. What was I thinking? I was stupid to think I could beat Bankai with a Shikai."

"Watch what you say, boy. You make it sound as though you've achieved Bankai."

"Yeah. That's exactly what I'm saying, Byakuya Kuchiki."

After reading 18 volumes of the manga, I firmly believed that it would always outshine the anime. However, upon reaching Volume 19, which I was certain would be far more impressive than its anime counterpart, I must reluctantly announce the anime's first victory.

It's not that the volume was a letdown. I got most of what I expected. There was the full-on Ichigo vs Byakuya battle with the appearance of White, the first use of the GETSUGATENSHO attack, the conclusion of the Yoruichi vs Soi Fon fight (complete with their flashback scenes), the reunion of the Karakura Team (plus Ganju), and the revelation of the fate of Central 46. But I have to admit that the Ichigo vs Byakuya fight and the first use of Ichigo's Bankai, which I was most excited about, wasn't as impactful in the manga as it was in the anime. Perhaps it's because I didn't hear Ichigo's iconic "BAN-KAI!!" scream, so I didn't get those thrilling goosebumps like I did while watching it on the screen.

Nevertheless, the manga did have its pluses. White looks much more deranged here than in the anime. I actually felt a sense of fear when I saw him, and I'm impressed that Byakuya didn't freak out when he suddenly appeared and attacked him :D

Also, I'm surprised that there was no Byakuya flashback scene of Hisana, and he didn't mention how he had once broken the law. His explanations in the anime didn't quite convince me, and in the manga, without the mention of the situation with Hisana, they seem even weaker. But hey, he did learn his lesson, and now things will only get better :)

Anyway, it seems like the fights are over, or at least the one with Byakuya is. He will no longer pursue Rukia, which means she should be safe now. But it's not the end of the Soul Reapers' problems. With the fate of Central 46 revealed, there is another culprit that the Soul Reapers need to find. Or maybe it's the same person responsible for what happened to Aizen? Is it Gin? Or perhaps Kira? Or someone completely different? We'll find out soon enough! ;)

Brad delves into the Bleach material, exploring its various aspects.

The presence of dead characters adds an element of mystery and drama. The title, "Bleach," itself can be quite confusing, leaving viewers and readers alike wondering about its true meaning.

The plot further compounds this confusion, with its twists and turns that can be difficult to keep up with.

However, on the positive side, the aesthetic of Bleach is undeniably pleasing. The art is presented in a unique and engaging form that catches the eye.

The action sequences, while exciting, can sometimes be hard to follow, especially for those new to the series.

One interesting aspect is the cool evil twin character, who adds an extra layer of intrigue.

Overall, Bleach is a complex and multifaceted work that has both its strengths and weaknesses.

It may require multiple viewings or readings to fully understand and appreciate all that it has to offer.

Whether you love it or hate it, there's no denying that Bleach has made a significant impact in the world of anime and manga.

So, the next time you pick up a Bleach comic or sit down to watch an episode, keep these points in mind and see if you can uncover the hidden depths of this captivating series.

4 stars.

Just something seems to be missing. There's a really cool backstory to Soi Fon and Yoruichi that I would have loved to see more of. I truly believe that they would make an excellent duo!

The fight between Ichigo and Byakuya was great. I really liked their bankais. There are so many questions that come to mind. What exactly is inside Ichigo? How did it get there? Byakuya reminds me a lot of Neji from Naruto.

I also like how Ichigo's friends didn't get in his way. They supported him and let him do what he needed to do.

Another mystery that has me intrigued is who killed the 46 members in the locked room. And who is the master villain? Gin is definitely a bad guy, but I feel bad for Momo. She's getting played and her mind isn't able to withstand it.

I wonder what will happen with the Soul Society. There are so many possibilities.

So far, I have to say that I like the manga over the anime. The manga seems to have more depth and detail, and it really makes me want to keep reading to find out what happens next.
