A stray cat's litter is born with wings, which allows them to flee the city and seek the questionable safety of the countryside. I have always had difficulties with fictional portrayals of cats. They often seem like pastiches, romanticizing outdated and even unsafe practices. This story is no exception to that rule. However, it is not as bad as some others. What balances it out is its incredibly short length and a premise that makes me understand why romanticized pastiches exist.
Cats are already perfect as they are and cannot be improved upon. But the idea of a winged cat, with its whimsy and beauty, is truly a delight. The illustrations in the story also add to its charm. Although the story may have its flaws in terms of romanticizing certain aspects, it still manages to capture the imagination and bring a sense of wonder.
Overall, while it may not be a perfect piece of fiction, it does have its redeeming qualities that make it worth reading.
