Oh dear god, this was incredibly boring.

I managed to struggle through it until 20% and then just abandoned it.

People who think this is similar to Hitchhiker's or Pratchett are, I'm afraid, sorely mistaken.

The crux of the problem is that it's blatantly not finished. Maybe there was a strict deadline that forced the author to rush it.

The basic plot is there, but a significant portion of the language and prose comes across as if it were written by a 15-year-old who believes they are much funnier than they actually are.

It lacks the polish and sophistication that one would expect from a well-written work. The ideas seem half-baked, and the sentences feel like placeholders rather than carefully crafted expressions of thought.

Overall, it was a disappointing read that failed to engage me and left me with a sense of dissatisfaction.

The book is written in a witty language, which makes it quite interesting to follow as the plot unfolds.

However, it has some drawbacks. Firstly, it lacks integrity. Although it is set in the Middle Ages, it involves items from the modern world, which gives a sense of being out of place.

Secondly, it is full of lucky coincidences. Whenever the main character seems to be trapped and there is no way out, a lucky event occurs in a blink to help him.

On one hand, this helps the author to advance the plot smoothly. But on the other hand, it makes the reader feel deceived, which is not a pleasant feeling.

In conclusion, despite its interesting language and engaging plot, the book's lack of integrity and overuse of lucky coincidences somewhat detract from the overall reading experience.

It's a great humorous fantasy with allusions to fairy tales. In the book, demons and angels begin a competition before the start of the 1000th year for whether evil or good will rule in the new millennium. There is a demon named Azzi who proposes a way to the higher demons on how to win this competition. It was quite funny to read about the bureaucracy that existed in hell.

The story takes readers on a wild and imaginative ride as the forces of good and evil clash. The characters are well-developed and the plot is full of twists and turns. The allusions to fairy tales add an extra layer of charm and familiarity to the story. Whether you're a fan of fantasy or just looking for a good laugh, this book is definitely worth checking out.

The description of the bureaucracy in hell is particularly entertaining. It shows that even in the afterlife, there are rules and regulations that must be followed. The demons have their own hierarchy and systems, just like humans do. This adds a touch of realism to the fantasy world and makes it even more engaging for readers.

As promised, this was indeed a fine romp of Sci-Fi Fantasy.

I'm not entirely certain that I would go as far as to label it as a parody or satire of the genre. Instead, it comes across as simply playful.

It is very enjoyable to read, although the characters may not be particularly deep or dynamic. However, they are still suitable for the brevity of the story.

Zelanzy's tone persists as ever, and the humor is abundant throughout.

The premise is enjoyable, with delightful side quest inserts that add to the overall charm.

I would absolutely recommend this to any Sci-Fi fan who has a sense of humor.

It offers a light-hearted and entertaining escape into a world of science fiction and fantasy, filled with fun and adventure.

Whether you're a die-hard Sci-Fi enthusiast or just looking for a quick and enjoyable read, this book is sure to satisfy.

So, if you're in the mood for some playful Sci-Fi Fantasy, give this one a try.

You won't be disappointed.
