All I want at this stage is for Misa to have a truly massive character arc. She truly deserves it. I long for her to do something explosive that would bring down Yagami.

Near was finally at the top of his game in the beginning. The dynamic between Mello and Near is really fascinating. And oh my god, disguising as the police to escape? That was probably one of the best scenes everrr. I adored when Light would say something and Near would reply with, "Why would you say that? How dare you when you are Kira," and he had this childish accusatory look on his face. I just love it.

The familiarity between L and Near is truly striking. It makes me wonder if they are related. Also, I really wish I could have seen something from Light's family's side - like his mom and Sayu. I feel like it would have added more depth and dimension to the story.

The Death Note seems to have lost its old charm. Light's extraordinary influencing skills and Near's amazing predictive power are really stretching the limits.
