I have to say that I didn't find the Yotsuba arc to be all that engrossing. The characters seemed rather boring and there were just too many of them. What's more, their motivations felt uninspired and cliched. It was a bit of a letdown.

The investigation that L and Light were conducting also left something to be desired. It was a little dull and rather repetitive at times. To be honest, the investigation only really became entertaining when Misa was involved. Her presence added a certain spark to the story.

L kind of annoyed me in this arc. I got tired of him overanalyzing everything. He irritated me to the point where I was actually rooting for Light to outsmart him and get away with everything. Both characters just weren't as interesting as they used to be.

Thankfully, Misa was still the best character. I absolutely loved how much Rem cared for her and looked out for her. It was really sweet and added a nice touch to the story.

I was also glad that Matsuda lived. He reminded me of a male Misa. He was so funny and cute, and his presence brought a bit of levity to the otherwise intense story.
