This is truly one of the best moments we have witnessed so far.

The anticipation and excitement are palpable as the results of the Pro Test hang in the balance.

The tension in the air is almost tangible, making everyone on the edge of their seats.

No one knows for sure what the outcome will be, and this uncertainty only adds to the drama.

Every little detail and development is being closely watched and analyzed.

The competitors are giving their all, leaving nothing to chance.

As the minutes tick by, the pressure continues to build.

We can only wait and see what the final result will be and who will come out on top in this intense battle.

Ochi was truly annoying. He was extremely jealous because Akira was so focused on Hikaru rather than him. In fact, I prefer Hikaru's other go classmates more. I do understand that he was written in that way, but that doesn't necessarily mean I have to like him.

I don't quite understand why they constantly say "I will get stronger" instead of "I will get better". It makes sense in fighting manga and even in basketball and other sports manga. However, in this one, it just seems odd to me. The continuous use of the word "strong" instead of "better" is rather strange.

The professional exams have finally come to an end, and what a fun conclusion it was!

After weeks of intense studying and preparation, the students were able to let loose and enjoy themselves. There was a sense of relief in the air as everyone gathered to celebrate.

The event was filled with laughter, music, and delicious food. Some students were dancing, while others were chatting and sharing their exam experiences. It was a great opportunity for them to bond and forget about the stress of the exams for a while.

The teachers also joined in on the fun, congratulating the students on their hard work and wishing them all the best for their future. It was a heartwarming moment to see the师生之间的情谊如此深厚.

Overall, the fun end to the pro exams was a memorable event that will be cherished by all who attended. It was a great way to mark the end of an important chapter in the students' lives and look forward to the future with excitement and anticipation.

I really like this cover. The coloring by Obata sensei is so beautiful.

It's a bit sad to see the end of Isumi's journey. Even though he is one of my favorite characters. But what can I do, the 3 people who passed this year's professional exam didn't include him.

Finally, here we can see how Sai is starting to feel that the "end" of his long wait in the world of Go is beginning to be in sight....

This story not only shows the excitement and competition in the world of Go but also the growth and emotions of the characters. It makes me more and more interested in this wonderful world. I can't wait to see what will happen next in the story.

Yumi Hotta, Hikaru no Go vol. 11: A Fierce Battle (ViZ, 1998)

I really hate to admit it, but as these two series progress, Hikaru no Go is gradually taking over Bleach as my all-time favorite manga series. In most fighting manga, the repetitive cycle of "fight – get stronger – fight – get stronger" is overly emphasized and seems quite artificial. However, in Hikaru no Go, the pace is much slower. There are reasonable explanations for the various events that occur during the "get stronger" phase of the cycle, such as reaching a plateau or making some dumb yet lucky moves. Over the course of the pro test story arc, Hotta has managed to create a group of strong personalities that are both credible and realistic. In A Fierce Battle, the eleventh volume of the series, Hotta concludes this arc. The long-awaited match between Toya-trained Ochi and Sai-trained Shindo is truly thrilling. Even though you can predict the outcome despite Hotta's cliffhanger, it doesn't make the story any less exciting. This is precisely what makes it so much fun. It's a remarkable volume in a fantastic series that is well worth your time, even if you're not a manga fan (yet). **** ½

In this volume, the long-awaited decision regarding who will pass the pro exam has finally been made. Once more, I am deeply impressed by the degree to which I have become attached to these characters. My heart races as I feverishly devour the pages, unable to put the book down. I feel a tinge of sadness that Isumi didn't pass. However, to be completely honest, I had a pretty strong suspicion that he might be the one who wouldn't make it.

Nonetheless, this is truly outstanding material and an absolute joy to read. It keeps me on the edge of my seat, constantly engaged and eager to discover what lies ahead for these captivating characters. The story weaves a web of emotions and excitement that draws me in and refuses to let go. I can't wait to see what the next volume has in store.

Overall, this series has become a favorite of mine, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enthralling and entertaining read.

Aaaaaaaahhhhhh! I'm so proud of my children.

They have been working so hard and achieving great things in their lives.

One of my children has been excelling in school, getting top grades and being recognized for their hard work and dedication.

Another child has been following their passion and has started their own business, which is already showing great promise.

I am constantly amazed by their determination and drive to succeed.

They are growing up to be such wonderful individuals, and I know that they will continue to make me proud in the future.

I feel so lucky to be their parent and to have the opportunity to watch them grow and achieve their dreams.

Hotta and Obata continue to do an outstanding job with this book.

Obata's art is always incredibly precise and detailed. Every line, every shading, is executed with such care and skill that it brings the story to life in the most vivid way. It's as clear as a bell, allowing the reader to easily understand and follow the action.

Hotta, on the other hand, is a master at keeping the characters lively and active. They seem to jump off the page, full of energy and personality. In addition to this, Hotta also provides enough suspense to keep the reader on the edge of their seat. There are two foundational hooks driving the story at all times - character and plot. The reader is constantly drawn in by the complex and engaging characters, as well as the thrilling and unpredictable plot.

Together, Hotta and Obata have created a truly remarkable book that is sure to captivate readers from beginning to end.

I really don't like Ochako!

Her attitude is bad and her hair is strange!

Why didn't Ijirou pass? Poor thing!

Saiki is also a bit pitiful. He is feeling a bit jealous of Hikaru because he is worried. Well, it's not so much jealousy as it is fear. I don't know, but Saiki has become kind of tragic.

Overall, the situation is quite complex and interesting. Each character has their own unique qualities and emotions, which makes the story more engaging. I'm curious to see how things will develop further for them.

The conclusion of the pro exam is always a matter of great anticipation and speculation.

Who will succeed and who will fall? It is a question that lingers in the minds of all those who have taken the exam.

The outcome can have a significant impact on a person's future, determining their career path, opportunities for further education, and even their social status.

Success in the pro exam often brings with it a sense of pride, accomplishment, and validation. It opens doors to new possibilities and gives individuals the confidence to pursue their dreams.

On the other hand, failure can be a bitter pill to swallow. It can lead to feelings of disappointment, self-doubt, and even depression. However, it is important to remember that failure is not the end. It is an opportunity to learn from one's mistakes, to improve, and to come back stronger.

In the end, whether one succeeds or fails in the pro exam, it is how they respond to the outcome that truly matters. Those who are able to pick themselves up, dust themselves off, and keep moving forward are the ones who will ultimately achieve success in life.

My heart truly goes out to Isumi. ・゚゚・(/︵\)・゚゚・

The whole cut off situation that she faced during the road to becoming a pro really hit a bit too close to home. It's something that I can relate to more than I care to admit.

We all have our dreams and aspirations, and the journey to achieving them is often filled with obstacles and challenges. For Isumi, this cut off situation must have been a huge setback and a source of great disappointment.

I can only imagine the emotions she must have been going through. It's times like these that test our strength and determination. But I believe that Isumi has what it takes to overcome this hurdle and continue on her path to success.

We should all offer her our support and encouragement during this difficult time.
