Ochi and Hikaru are about to engage in the fateful match!

I truly love the parallel that is drawn between them. Ochi, who is coached by Akira Toya, has all those elaborate strategies and meticulous preparations ready to take Hikaru down. On the other hand, Hikaru has Sai standing firmly behind him.

Akira desires to challenge Sai and is using Ochi as just another go stone in this intense battle. Meanwhile, Sai has been patiently teaching Hikaru and allowing him to grow independently.

What原本 should have been a relatively low-stakes game for Ochi has now transformed into a matter of pride. He is determined to prove that he is worthy of Akira's notice, rather than Hikaru. This match is not just about winning or losing the game of Go; it has become a test of their skills, their relationships, and their very identities.

The stage is set, and the anticipation is palpable as Ochi and Hikaru prepare to face off in this crucial encounter.

I truly love the way the tension of the final matches unfolds in this volume.

Waya, Isumi, Hikaru, and Ochi are engaged in a fierce battle on the last stretch. The competition is extremely intense, and the palpable tension is truly real.

Akira, driven by his unwavering obsession for Hikaru, goes to the extent of training Ochi for the final game.

I had initially been anticipating a three-way play-offs, but unfortunately, that wasn't how it turned out. Nevertheless, the resulting winners are to my liking.

Although, to be honest, I would have preferred not to see Ochi in this series anymore as I didn't really have a liking for him.

Despite this, the overall story and the development of the characters continue to keep me highly engaged and interested in what lies ahead.

The story had a nice build-up of tension that kept the reader on the edge of their seats right up until the very end. However, the conclusion felt rather rushed. It seemed as if the author was in a hurry to wrap things up and didn't take the time to fully develop the ending.

We had been following Sai's journey throughout the story and were finally starting to wonder what would become of him. Would he achieve his goals? Would he face any more challenges along the way? These questions were left unanswered as the story abruptly came to a close.

Despite the rushed ending, the overall story was engaging and had the potential to be even better if the author had spent more time on the conclusion. It would have been nice to see a more satisfying resolution to Sai's story and to have a better understanding of what the future held for him.

This series is truly getting better as it progresses.

Gradually, I find myself becoming more and more deeply invested in the characters. Their stories and developments draw me in and make me eager to see what comes next.

Interestingly, through this series, I've also learned a great deal about the psychology of competition. These are valuable lessons that I can directly apply to my tournament chess play.

Hikaru and Sai serve as excellent teachers not only for those interested in go but for people competing in any type of game or sport. Their experiences and strategies offer insights that can enhance one's performance and understanding of the competitive mindset.

It's amazing how a fictional series can have such a profound impact on our real lives and give us practical knowledge that we can use in our own pursuits.

Overall, this series has been a great source of entertainment and learning, and I look forward to seeing where it takes me next.

Right now, I am engrossed in reading this, which is like binge-watching all the episodes of Attack No.1 continuously.

After finishing the series, I don't have the immediate urge to take up the game of go. However, I am extremely glad that I borrowed the entire series from the library. I simply couldn't wait for the other volumes to become available.

The reason is that I have a hunch that something is amiss with Sai. But I am trying to push my worries aside. For me, Sai is the core of the series. There is absolutely no way the story can progress without him.

His character brings a unique charm and depth to the narrative. I am eager to see how his story unfolds and what challenges he will face in the upcoming volumes.

Despite my concerns, I am excited to continue reading and discover the secrets and surprises that lie ahead.

I hope that Sai's presence will be felt throughout the series and that his journey will be filled with excitement and inspiration.

The battle for turning Pro reaches a decisive conclusion at the end of this book.

If you have perused the previous 10 volumes, you will experience a whirlwind of emotions when it concludes. I am not revealing any spoilers here, but it truly showcases the masterful writing and storytelling prowess of Hotta and Obata, which hooks you deeply into the game of "Go".

The volumes seem to fly by when you read them, yet they are emotional bombs for the reader as you embark on a journey into something that appears so unfamiliar yet so captivating.

This particular volume was especially fulfilling. It ties up loose ends, provides closure to the characters' arcs, and leaves you with a sense of satisfaction and a longing for more.

The detailed illustrations and the engaging narrative make this series a must-read for any manga enthusiast or anyone interested in the game of "Go".

It's a testament to the creators' ability to bring this complex and strategic game to life in a way that is accessible and enjoyable for all.

Whether you're a seasoned "Go" player or a complete novice, you're sure to be drawn into the world of "Hikaru no Go" and find yourself rooting for the characters as they strive to achieve their goals.

Overall, this volume is a fitting end to an amazing series and a must-have addition to any manga collection.

Once again, the allure of this series lies in its remarkable ability to sustain a palpable sense of tension and drama throughout what essentially amounts to an unending succession of go games. In volume 11, the author finally brings to a close Hikaru's pro test that has been unfolding over the past four volumes. (Spoiler: he passes.)

The most captivating game by far is the one between Hikaru and Ochi. Ochi, a young Insei who has already secured his place in the pros, has been receiving private tutoring from Akira Toya. The game between Ochi and Hikaru is rife with hidden meanings, symbolized by the ghostly Sai sitting behind Hikaru and Akira's presence behind Ochi. Akira is fixated on Hikaru, Hikaru aspires to become a worthy adversary of Akira, Ochi is cognizant that Akira is more interested in Hikaru than in him and desires to earn the young pro's respect, and Sai is showing inklings of developing a subplot of his own as he begins to wonder if he will truly accompany Hikaru throughout his life.

Given that in the author's notes, Hotta admits she doesn't always have a clear vision of where the story is headed, I am left wondering how things will progress now that Hikaru is entering the pro ranks.

Oh, and it's interesting to note that the author remembered that Hikaru, a 13-year-old, still has parents. Every few volumes, his mother makes an appearance, nervously giggling about how she just doesn't understand this go game that her son is so痴迷 with. It's a classic case of disappearing parents in children's fiction. I don't think we've seen Hikaru's dad since volume one.

Anyway, this volume was also significant in that it begins to refer to actual go terms and tactics in slightly more detail. I found myself looking at the game between Ochi and Hikaru, trying to figure out how Hikaru was going to ensure the survival of his black stones. You still don't really need to know how to play go to enjoy this series, but this was the first volume where I think you might miss some of the nuances if you're not familiar with some basic principles. (And believe me, basic principles is all I know.) I know they have go experts double-check all the go drawings, but not being an expert myself, I wonder how complex and sophisticated these games truly are, or if they simply select some old classic Honin'bo tournament to illustrate.

Anyway, once again, this is one of the better volumes in the series.

This volume offers us a little peek into Waya's relationship with his sensei, which I truly valued. Background information such as that makes me cheer for other players besides just the protagonist.

Sai is also extremely charming in this volume, with his thoughts and insecurities. I'm eagerly anticipating the moment when Hikaru and Sai finally get to play against each other as equals (in the far-off future... ahaha).

I don't really have much interest in Ochi. Sorry.

Overall, this volume provides some interesting insights and developments. It's great to see the different dynamics between the characters and how their relationships are evolving. The story continues to draw me in, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Whether it's the growth of Waya under his sensei's guidance, the progression of Sai's character, or the eventual showdown between Hikaru and Sai, there are plenty of things to keep me engaged.

I just hope that the story doesn't disappoint and that it lives up to my expectations. So far, it's been a great read, and I can't wait to see where it takes us.

Shindo has done it: he has truly become a professional in every sense.

So far, Hikaru no Go has proven to be a really enjoyable read, and it's easy to look for information about Go, discover how to play, and watch some tutorials in the hope of understanding something.

Now that Shindo is in the world of professionals, I hope the manga will bring out more charismatic characters and that the games will become more incredible than ever.

This journey of Shindo from a beginner to a professional is truly fascinating. It makes us follow his growth and development step by step.

The world of Go is full of mysteries and challenges, and Shindo is now ready to face them head-on.

We can't wait to see what adventures and competitions await him in the future, and how he will continue to shine in the world of Go.

Only three contestants will have the opportunity to become a Pro during the Pro exams. The contenders are Hikaru Shindo, Yoshitaka Waya, Shinichiro Isumi, and Kosuke Ochi. After 27 games, the three players with the fewest losses will become Go Pro players. Isumi couldn't make it as he had four losses. Ochi played the best, with only two losses, one of which was against Hikaru. Toya is eager to know how the game went and goes to Ochi's house to ask him to play out the game against Hikaru. However, Ochi doesn't let Toya in. Now Hikaru is on an equal footing with Akira Toya.

Hopefully, we will see what will happen to Shinichiro Isumi. I feel sorry for him as he has reached the age limit to be an Insei. During the Pro exams at the Go association, we surely witnessed some intense battles. It's been an exciting and nerve-wracking process for all the participants. The competition has been fierce, and every game has counted. We can't wait to see who the final three Pros will be and how their Go careers will unfold in the future.
