I *chef’s kiss* love the trope of goofy bro relationships. It's just so entertaining and heartwarming. And here, we have a wonderful combination. There's a gallant-hearted knight, who is brave and noble. Then there's the grouchy butt-whooper, who might seem a bit grumpy on the outside but has a soft side somewhere. And finally, there's the sunshine on the run, full of energy and optimism.

I can just imagine the hilarious and exciting adventures these three would have together. Their different personalities would clash and complement each other in the most interesting ways. I actually would really like to see this in anime form. It would be amazing to watch their story unfold on the screen, with all the action, humor, and character development.

Brb while I check if it exists! I'm really hoping that someone out there has already turned this awesome concept into an anime. If not, maybe I'll have to start imagining my own version and sharing it with the world. Who knows, maybe one day, we'll all be able to enjoy this amazing story in anime form.

Maybe this is just a bias resulting from watching the abysmal on-screen adaptation before reading the book. However, I truly enjoyed "Tsubasa"!

The characters are highly likable, and the art style is undeniably gorgeous, which is to be expected from a CLAMP product. The story is engaging, and the authors introduce just the right amount of plot threads to keep you hooked. It serves as a great beginning to the series.

The only concerns I have are regarding the villains' motivations and the background knowledge needed to fully understand the book. CLAMP uses this series as a connecting thread among all their properties. If you're not familiar with which property is being referenced, you might easily get confused. They handle it decently in the first volume, but I hope they don't overdo it later. The villains' motivations remain hazy, and as someone who accidentally had some things spoiled, I suspect it will only get more complicated.

I would recommend this series to those who enjoy sci-fi/fantasy manga. However, if the plot or art style doesn't capture your attention by the end of this volume or the next, then I wouldn't suggest reading much further.

Good luck!

All the manga characters of Clamp's works are here in abundance.

It's like a reunion of the characters. The story becomes even more exciting, cool, challenging, and adrenaline-pumping & dramatic!

It's not wrong for Clamp to bring them together in this one compilation story. Moreover, it's unique & flexible. Truly a genius idea!

The characters from different Clamp series interact and create a web of complex relationships and storylines. This compilation allows fans to see their favorite characters in a new light and experience new adventures.

The art style of Clamp is also a major draw. The detailed illustrations and beautiful character designs add to the overall charm of the story.

Whether you're a long-time fan of Clamp or new to their works, this compilation is definitely worth checking out. It offers a unique and exciting reading experience that will keep you hooked from start to finish.

OK, I plowed through all 28 volumes of this initially in an effort to make sense of xxxHolic. Which, eventually, it sort of did. However, when it comes to Tsubasa, I'm at a loss. I don't know what I am to use to make sense of it. Well, I suppose Wikipedia could be of some help, but even it only becomes comprehensible after one has read the thing maybe twice.

I had actually, as usual, started with the anime. The anime is quite well done and recommended. It has a couple of very beguiling side characters, and a good bit of sartorial and art value. Also, it never descends into smarminess. However, it does not go all the way to the end of the tale, and it skipped some parts I'd been especially curious about. Even with the OVAs added, it is still incomplete.

The detractions include the utterly tedious fight scenes that seem to be a requirement of the form. Without these fight scenes, one could get through things in half the time and page count with no loss of information.

The most complicated end-game I have ever seen finally clears the decks for the happy ending. All the male characters go off into the sunset together, and they finally dump the girl who stays home. Granted, she's spent half the tale comatose, taking passive heroine-ing to whole new levels just short of necrophilia. So they're all probably better off without each other.

All the markers of the genre are cranked up to eleven. There are angsty backstories, wildly melodramatic set pieces, dark secrets, and a peculiarly Japanese idfic.

Surprisingly, I kinda liked it, actually.

The start of something truly beautiful.

This first volume does an outstanding job at establishing both new and recognisable faces. It manages to introduce fresh characters while also bringing back those that readers are already familiar with. At the same time, it sets the stakes high, creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation.

CLAMP’s art style is simply beautiful and highly expressive. The details in the illustrations are exquisite, and the way the characters are drawn makes them come to life on the page. As the story progresses, the art only gets better, enhancing the overall reading experience.

One day I’ll actually finish this series (distant laughter in the background). But until then, I always enjoy rereading this beginning. It serves as a reminder of the wonderful journey that lies ahead and allows me to fully appreciate the craftsmanship that went into creating this amazing manga.

I haven't read this for such a long time that I even forgot the questions! As a fan of Card Captor Sakura, I was once so excited to welcome this comic. Sigh. I still remember how enthusiastic I was in collecting the first dozen volumes of this series. It felt like a reunion with the characters of CLAMP from various generations. And it's really great because some characters whose fates were tragic in the original series like Sorata, Arashi, and Souma can have a much better life in another dimension.

I'm curious. In which volume will the opening scene of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle actually be revealed?

Review of the whole series

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle is truly one of my all-time favorite manga series. I have likely read the entire series three to four times, and it wouldn't be a surprise if I end up reading it yet again in the future. If you're in search of a manga series that boasts beautiful art, captivating characters, and a complex plot, then I wholeheartedly recommend picking this one up. If you've come here after watching the anime, let me assure you that the manga far surpasses it in numerous ways. I recall enjoying the anime, but it omitted so much.

It's a significant advantage if you're also interested in other CLAMP works. While it's not necessary to enjoy this series, if you desire to understand the bigger picture, know who some of the side characters are, and why they're important, then you should definitely read xxxHolic. Anyway, here's my review of different aspects of TRC:

description

Art 10/10:

The art is simply breathtaking. CLAMP is an incredibly talented group, and I truly can't think of a single thing to complain about regarding the art. They excel at描绘 both sweet and romantic scenes as well as intense battle scenes. The details in the illustrations are remarkable, adding depth and authenticity to the story.

Characters 9/10:

Fai D Flourite is my absolute favorite character, but I also have a great appreciation for the other main characters. Their group chemistry is excellent, and they all have their moments to shine and have their backstories revealed. The character development is outstanding, and you can witness how they all evolve as the story progresses. I also really like many of the side characters they encounter throughout the series. However, the minus 1 is due to the fact that if you don't read xxxHolic, you may not fully understand who one of the more important side characters is.

Plot 9/10:

If you're seeking a straightforward plot, then this series may not be to your taste. It begins relatively simply, but as the story unfolds, the plot thickens and becomes extremely complex. In fact, I didn't quite grasp everything regarding the ending the first time I read this series. This is also why I don't recommend waiting too long between reading each volume during the second half of the series, as you might forget some crucial details. Nevertheless, I love how the story becomes more intricate as it progresses. The minus 1 is because both I and many other readers felt that certain plot points in the finale could have been better explained.

Genre-balance 10/10:

The story encompasses various genres such as romance, adventure, young adult, and fantasy. There is a perfect balance between cute, silly, tragic, sad, romantic, intense, magical, and badass moments. This diversity keeps the reader engaged and entertained throughout the entire series.

Overall, I didn't hesitate for a moment in giving this series a 5/5 stars rating because it truly is amazing. It combines beautiful art, well-developed characters, a complex plot, and a great genre balance to create a manga series that is both captivating and unforgettable.

Finally, CLAMP has bestowed an ending upon one of their finest works. CLAMP has long been infamous for leaving a significant portion of their manga either unfinished, on hiatus, or cancelled. This is truly a pity as they are my favorite manga-ka. Therefore, I was overjoyed that they saw this particular work through to the end. Additionally, I absolutely LOVE the concept of world travel into all the diverse realms of their Clamp-universe. I would highly recommend this to any Clamp fan out there. I appreciate how the characters also underwent a great deal of development. Throughout the plot and stories, I never once felt bored. Instead, it kept me thoroughly entertained from start to finish. It's an awesome job!

My rating: 9.5/10

After watching "Sakura Card Captor" several times during the summers when it was broadcast on TV, I discovered Tsubasa and it became my new addiction.

I watched the series on more than one occasion, but I never reached the end. I always ended up missing some episodes. Now with the comics, apart from reliving moments that I have already seen, I hope to be able to put an end to it. I have spent too much time wondering how it ends.

Tsubasa has such an engaging story and wonderful characters that it always manages to draw me in. The beautiful art in the comics only adds to the charm.

Although I have seen parts of the series before, there are still many mysteries and plot twists that I am eager to uncover. I can't wait to finally reach the conclusion and find out what happens to all of my favorite characters.

Reading the Tsubasa comics has become a new and exciting adventure for me, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.

This first volume indeed sets the stage for what appears to be an exciting story.

The artwork within it was truly fabulous, with vivid colors and detailed illustrations that brought the scenes to life. The dialogue also read quite well, flowing smoothly and adding to the overall atmosphere of the narrative.

However, I do hope that the story gets better after this initial point. While the beginning had its moments, it was a bit lackluster and failed to fully grip my attention. There were areas where the pacing could have been improved, and some of the plot developments felt a bit predictable.

Furthermore, the inclusion of some profanity in the mix was completely unnecessary. It didn't add anything to the story and instead seemed out of place and rather jarring. I believe that the author could have conveyed the same emotions and ideas without resorting to such language.

Overall, while this first volume has its strengths, there is definitely room for improvement. I'm still interested in seeing where the story goes from here, but I'm hoping for a more engaging and original narrative in the future.

I'm currently rereading this series. The reason is that I never completed it before. The other day, when I visited the bookstore, I noticed that the series was complete. I had initially reached about halfway through but then got extremely busy with school and completely lost track. This is truly a shame because this series is simply amazing. Syaoran is by far my favorite character ever.

If you have ever had the pleasure of reading any of CLAMP's other manga (and you really should), then you absolutely must read this one as well. It presents a great story that is not only captivating on its own but also intertwined with numerous other series. I'm filled with excitement as I embark on this rereading journey, eager to discover what actually occurs.

This review pertains to the entire manga series, not just the initial volume.

Do not be misled by the charming, light-adventure guise that the first volume of this series presents. There is a plot on the horizon, and it will strike with the force of a truck.

Many readers initially struggle to engage with Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE as the actual story commences at a somewhat slower pace than the dramatic teaser at the start of the first chapter. It gives the impression of a bait-and-switch. For the first half-dozen volumes or so, Tsubasa consists merely of the episodic crossover adventures of CLAMP's beloved characters Syaoran and Sakura and their friends as they traverse through worlds inhabited by other familiar CLAMP faces. However, those who persevere beyond that point begin to notice character revelations and subtle hints of what is to come, scattered throughout the next half-dozen volumes. This makes the series a touch more captivating, yet it is still easy to misinterpret it as a typical villain-of-the-week adventure tale.

Then, around volume 13 or 14, the plot suddenly accelerates. All of the seemingly innocuous hints that were seeded throughout the first dozen volumes start to come into play. From that moment on, it becomes fast-paced, intense, and completely addictive. As the series progresses, I find myself eagerly anticipating the release of the next chapter.

This is by far the finest CLAMP series among the dozen or so that I have read. It is an absolute must for fans of CLAMP's other works, nearly all of which are represented here. But even for those who are not die-hard CLAMP enthusiasts, the story is well worth reading for its innovative plot twists and delightfully angst-ridden character development.

...and Fay D. Flourite. Read the series, if only for Fay. ^_^
