It’s such a great pity that this series is out of print.

My dear friend, Laura, who is extremely kind-hearted, sent me this additional copy of hers.

I am truly filled with gratitude!!

I have a strong desire to continue reading it in its physical form, but fortunately, it is also accessible digitally.

This isn't really a proper review... my apologies!

However, this volume was brimming with action, and I am really excited to discover what is going to occur next!!

I can't wait to delve deeper into the story and see how the plot unfolds.

The anticipation is killing me!

I'm sure the next part will be just as thrilling and engaging.

Overall, I'm really enjoying this series so far, despite the disappointment of it being out of print.

Thanks to Laura's generosity, I can still enjoy it.

I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves action-packed stories.

It's definitely worth checking out!

In this volume, not much really occurs. We are simply introduced to a few new characters, and we learn a little about Izark, just a smidgen. The plot doesn't progress significantly beyond meeting these new characters and the two main characters continuing on their journey. There are a few fights, and a tiny amount of information is disclosed.

Noriko remains nice and chatty (at least she's getting more comfortable staying in this world). Izark showcases a hint of his powers, although not a great deal. Apparently, he gets fevers from time to time, and suddenly he gets a boost of strength that enables him to battle a large group of people.

We also get to know several other characters such as the doctor, the inn keeper, and the mayor. They are nice individuals, each with a bit of personality. The mayor is very outspoken and always has something to criticize. He's kind and caring towards others but also very bold and loud.

There is also this powerful fighter named Keimos. In the first volume, we saw him kill a few men and then didn't see him for a while. In this one, he hears about Izark's strength and wants to challenge him. He loves to fight, is arrogant, and takes great pleasure in destroying his opponents. There's some character to him, but I hope he's not just there to fight Izark for the sake of defeating him. That would become tiresome. But I will say that his bloodlust is incredible. Goodness, this guy is obsessed.

There is also this man, Lord Rachef, who has manners but seems sly. I don't know his motive or what he's after, but Rachef seems like he could be an interesting character if we knew more about him. I have a hunch that he's a villain, but I'm not sure. I'll just have to wait and see. I just don't know what's going on with this guy, but I do hope to see more of him in the future, and I'm pretty certain I probably will.

This volume isn't as good as the first one. There are more characters, but the plot doesn't change or go anywhere. Not to mention that the new characters are only with us temporarily. It's just a bunch of jerks going after the hero, and that gets old after a while. I just hope the third volume improves.

Volume 2 of the story picks up right after volume 1, immediately getting the ball rolling on the plot and story.

As the narrative progresses, we are able to learn a great deal more about Izark's power. However, despite this newfound knowledge, we still have no clear clue as to who or what he really is.

I have the distinct feeling that we are perfectly in the shoes of Noriko, experiencing and discovering this new world one new word at a time.

It's as if we are right there with her, trying to make sense of the strange and wonderful things that are happening around us.

The mystery surrounding Izark only adds to the intrigue and excitement of the story, making us eager to turn the page and find out what will happen next.

Overall, volume 2 is off to a great start and has me hooked on this captivating tale.

From the very beginning, the plot has been engaging and filled with twists and turns that keep me on the edge of my seat. The characters are well-developed, each with their own unique personalities and motives, which adds depth and authenticity to the narrative.

The writing style is also quite captivating, making it easy for me to immerse myself in the story. Every scene is described in vivid detail, allowing me to picture the events unfolding in my mind's eye.

Overall, I would rate this story 4 solid stars. It has all the elements of a great read - a compelling plot, interesting characters, and excellent writing. I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us in the next installment.

I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves a good mystery or adventure. It's sure to keep you entertained from start to finish.

Despite his sudden illness, Izark takes on a job to break up a ring of thieves in the town where he and Noriko are staying. As a middle school student, I wasn't overly fond of this series. Noriko seemed too whiny and ineffective. But upon rereading it as an adult, I came to appreciate her flaws. After all, as an average Tokyo high school student, she shouldn't be an all-powerful force right from the start.

Noriko has decided to learn the new language, and further character development in volume two shows she's well on her way to becoming a stronger character. For example, she saves Izark after they jump from a window by carrying him into an alleyway. Goodbye, damsel in distress!

There isn't a lot of romance in this volume either, which I'm fine with. Hikawa doesn't depict love at first sight. Instead, the bond between these two characters grows as they spend time together. Noriko is clearly attached to Izark, and while he tells himself keeping her around is for their safety, perhaps his feelings for her are changing. After all, he didn't think of her as a burden in volume two.

Kyoko Hikawa expands a bit on Izark's past. His mother pushed him away, and there's no mention of his father. Unfortunately, the villains get even less backstory. We don't know why Niva agreed to help the thieves, and we know nothing about the thieves except that they're evil and greedy. A bit more development here could have strengthened the story. Right now, these guys are just bad for the sake of being bad. The same goes for Keimo.

However, this series makes up for it with its commitment to realism through Noriko. I hope future volumes will allow her to grow more as a character and become more active in her own life.

Ah Noriko, you truly need to learn the language at a much faster pace than you have been.

We are still trapped in this alternate world of some sort, and Noriko is doing her best to make the most of the situation. Seriously. I really love how this girl perseveres without panicking and truly focuses on doing the right thing.

There is a great deal of politics here that I don't yet understand. I appreciate this aspect of the series - it has a lot of substance. As each layer is peeled back, I find myself increasingly eager to delve deeper. Why is Noriko so crucial? What is this significant thing she can do that makes her a target for death? And will she ultimately learn the language well enough to communicate with everyone?

Ah, this story evokes happy memories of Fushigi Yuugi. I like this type of story more than I had initially realized. I can't wait to see what occurs next.
