Loved it!

This simple expression holds a world of meaning. It implies a deep sense of affection and enthusiasm. When we say "loved it," it could refer to a wide range of experiences.

Maybe it was a movie that touched our hearts, a book that kept us on the edge of our seats, or a meal that was simply delicious.

It could also be a place we visited, a person we met, or an activity that brought us joy.

The beauty of "loved it" is its brevity and power. It conveys our emotions in a concise and impactful way.

It doesn't require a long explanation or justification. We just know that we loved it, and that's enough.

Whether it's a small moment of happiness or a life-changing event, "loved it" captures the essence of our positive experiences.

So the next time you have a great experience, don't be afraid to simply say "loved it!" and let the world know how you feel.

I think everyone knows the story of Dorothy, the girl who is carried by a tornado to Oz and goes on a journey there to get back home.

But this is the story of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West. And the sequel part is about her son and his life. I bought it because of the beautiful edition, but also because I enjoyed it. Although at the beginning, I had a bit of difficulty getting into it.

Elphaba's story is a fascinating one. She is often misunderstood and labeled as "wicked" without people really knowing the truth about her. Her son's life also takes some unexpected turns, and it's interesting to see how he grows and deals with the challenges he faces.

The book offers a different perspective on the world of Oz and the characters within it. It makes you think about how appearances can be deceiving and how everyone has their own story and reasons for their actions.

Overall, it's a great read that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a good story with depth and complexity.

I found this book to be more enjoyable than the first one.

As I delved deeper into the pages, I realized that I had become accustomed to the author's unique writing style.

The author's way of presenting the story and developing the characters had a certain charm that drew me in and kept me engaged throughout.

Perhaps it was the vivid descriptions, the engaging dialogue, or the well-structured plot that made this book so appealing.

Whatever the reason, I found myself looking forward to reading each new chapter and seeing where the story would take me.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good read and is willing to give the author's writing style a chance.

I'm sure they will be as pleasantly surprised as I was.

At first, it was extremely challenging for me to fully catch on.

The concepts and ideas presented seemed rather complex and difficult to grasp immediately.

However, despite the initial struggle, I found that I truly did enjoy the book.

It had a certain charm and allure that kept me engaged and eager to continue reading.

Even though there were parts that I simply did not understand, it didn't dampen my overall enthusiasm for the story.

I was still able to appreciate the beautiful language, the vivid descriptions, and the interesting characters.

As I read on, I hoped that I would gradually gain a better understanding of those confusing parts and be able to fully immerse myself in the world created by the author.

Overall, it was a reading experience that was both frustrating at times and highly enjoyable.

This book (or these books, depending on the edition you're reading) is bound to transform the way you perceive Oz. It leans more towards the darker "Return to Oz" which, depending on your age and the kind of movies you favored during your upbringing, might or might not have haunted many of our nightmares in our formative years. It is less like the magical, sweet (albeit sometimes somewhat dark), and wonderful world of "The Wizard of Oz" that many more people have experienced. I would contend that these books have made the movies much more understandable to me. As for the musical? Even though it is based on the first book in this series, just because you've seen the musical doesn't mean you know the books. I'll just leave it at that.

The world-building in these books is truly amazing. It makes Oz seem extremely real and alive, a vital, moving, and changing entity that is every bit as deep and intricate as our own world (depending on where you're reading this from, I suppose?) and also as dark as ours can be at times. It does have some sections that drag on, especially during the second book, and some things did come across as a little confusing or unnecessary. However, overall, it is well worth the long read. I would also have to say that reading the first two books together, as a whole, is the preferable approach. The first two books have left me eager to see what occurs in the final two books.

What an amazing series!

Undescribable! This simple word holds a world of meaning. It represents something that is beyond words, something that cannot be put into simple descriptions. It could be an emotion, a feeling of pure joy or profound sadness that defies explanation. It could also be a sight, a breathtaking landscape or a work of art that leaves us speechless. The concept of the undescribable challenges our ability to communicate and understand. It forces us to rely on our senses and intuitions to truly experience and appreciate it. Sometimes, the most powerful and memorable moments in life are those that are undescribable. They stay with us, etched in our minds and hearts, forever. We may try to share them with others, but in the end, the true essence of the undescribable can only be felt and understood by ourselves.

Wicked..............

I have always been intrigued by the book "Wicked" whenever I laid eyes on it in the bookstores. I would invariably pick it up and flip through its pages, as is my custom when considering a purchase. However, on each occasion, I found it to be an extremely challenging read. The plot seemed convoluted and difficult to follow, causing me to put the book down and move on. I must have repeated this process on at least ten different visits to various bookstores. Despite my intense desire to like and read this book, it always appeared to be an overwhelming task. Then, on my 40th birthday, my partner presented me with the book. Naturally, I gave a big smile, but in the back of my mind, I was thinking, "of all books." It was a combined volume of "Wicked" and "Son of a Witch," a beautiful book indeed. So, I embarked on reading it and soon fell in love with it. At times, the book was a bit of a struggle to get through, with its abundance of large and unfamiliar words. I had to keep a dictionary close at hand. Nevertheless, I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed the book, and Gregory Maguire managed to make me fall in love with Elphaba, the green one. I wholeheartedly recommend this book. I even missed reading it shortly after I had finished it.

Son of a Witch..........

I have to confess that I did not experience the same level of love for "Son of a Witch" as I did for "Wicked" (the first book in the three-book series). I felt that the story lacked a clear purpose or direction. The Son of the Witch is never officially confirmed as such, even though we know it to be the case. It would have been nice if he had staked his claim to that title, being the son of the famous Elphaba. There were several parts of the storyline that seemed毫无缘由 and were never adequately explained as to why they were included in the book. Even when the protagonist appeared to be on the verge of following in his mother's footsteps and becoming an advocate for Animal rights and fighting the good fight, I was left disappointed. The story was anti-climactic, and the ending was hardly an ending at all. It just seemed as if the final chapter was missing. I have heard that Gregory Maguire is currently in the process of writing a fourth book in this series, and of course, I will purchase it as soon as it goes on sale. I just hope that all the loose ends are tied up.

I really enjoyed watching the musical "Wicked". The story, the characters, and the music all came together to create a truly magical experience. The way the show explored the relationship between Elphaba and Glinda was both touching and thought-provoking.

However, when it comes to "Son of a Witch", my experience was quite different. I found the book to be rather tiresome. The plot seemed to drag on at times, and I didn't feel as invested in the characters as I did in "Wicked".

Perhaps it was because I had such high expectations after loving "Wicked" so much. Or maybe it was just that the writing style of "Son of a Witch" didn't resonate with me as much. Whatever the reason, I was disappointed with this follow-up.

Despite my disappointment with "Son of a Witch", I still have a lot of love for "Wicked". It will always hold a special place in my heart as one of my favorite musicals of all time.

I never had an inclination towards The Wizard of Oz during my childhood. However, when I witnessed Wicked, it managed to captivate my rather extensive and somewhat morbid side.

Consequently, on a particularly exasperating lunch hour, I picked it up more or less haphazardly. To my great surprise and delight, it turned out to be truly WONDERFUL.

The story is a perfect blend of humor and sadness, breathing new life and adding rich texture to the fictional world of Oz.

It presents a fresh and unique perspective on the well-known characters and events, making it an absolute joy to read.

Overall, Wicked has become one of my favorite literary works, leaving a lasting impression on me.

The situation was truly exasperating yet bemusing at the same time.

On one hand, it was extremely frustrating. The constant delays and setbacks seemed never-ending, causing a great deal of stress and annoyance. It felt as if nothing was going according to plan, and every attempt to move forward was met with another obstacle.

On the other hand, there was something almost comical about it. The absurdity of the circumstances was hard to ignore. It was like a never-ending farce, with one ridiculous event after another. Despite the frustration, there were moments when one couldn't help but laugh at the sheer silliness of it all.

Overall, it was a strange and confusing experience, leaving one with a mix of emotions. The exasperation was real, but so was the bemusement. It was a situation that defied easy explanation or resolution, and one that would likely be remembered for a long time to come.
