At the end of the book, the author provides the address and phone number of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Believe in yourself and give it a try. Even if you don't succeed on your first attempt, keep working hard and you will eventually achieve success. Remember, when Edison made 1000 unsuccessful attempts to invent the lightbulb, a reporter asked him “How did it feel to fail 1000 times?” Edison replied “I didn’t fail 1000 times. The lightbulb was an invention with 1000 steps!”.

Also of interest is the list on the inside front and back covers of major inventions by women throughout history, starting from the pre-1800s and progressing by eras until the present. It is remarkable that the list from 2010 to the present is by far the longest, with over 40 women listed. Although only 15 women are featured in the book, curious girls can easily look up the details of any of the others listed.

I highly recommend "Girls Think of Everything" for readers aged 9 and up. It would be an excellent choice for a mother-daughter book club, where moms and daughters can discuss the inventions they can imagine that would make the world a better place.
