I read this book during my high school days. To be honest, I was truly fascinated by it. It delves into every aspect, starting from the very beginning of how he got involved in the world of basketball. It details the journey, the challenges he faced, and the steps that led him to where he is today in the basketball realm.

Moreover, it doesn't stop there. It also explores his relationship with Madonna, which adds another layer of intrigue. The book provides insights into their connection, the nature of their relationship, and how it might have influenced him in different ways. It's a comprehensive look at his life, both on and off the basketball court.

Overall, this book offers a captivating read that combines the excitement of the basketball world with the drama and complexity of personal relationships. It's a must-read for anyone interested in learning more about this remarkable individual.

Bad as I Wanna Be is the autobiography of the star player Dennis Rodman.

The book commences with Dennis sharing his early childhood experiences, being brought up by a single mother. Dennis Keith Rodman was born in Trenton, New Jersey, to Shirley and Philander Rodman Jr. After his father abandoned the family (and later fathered 27 other children), his mother and two sisters relocated to Texas. There, Rodman completed high school and worked overtime at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. It was during this time that he had a significant growth spurt, growing 14 inches taller and reaching his current height of 6' 8".

While working at the airport, Rodman had a brush with the law when he was arrested for shoplifting watches. He was fired and returned to live with his mother. Due to his sudden growth, he decided to give basketball another shot. Determined to make it to the NBA and secure a better future, he caught the attention of the Detroit Pistons and was selected as the 27th pick in 1986. Over the next 14 years, he played for 5 teams, winning seven consecutive rebounding championships and 5 championships in total.

The book also delves into his personal life during his NBA career. Rodman is openly bisexual and has confessed to contracting HIV. He also claims that the famous singer Madonna was eager to have children with him. To promote the book, he once wore a wedding dress and declared that he was marrying himself. Rodman admits that he would have committed suicide in the early days of his NBA career if it weren't for the music of the rock band Pearl Jam on the radio. He is widely recognized for his crazy lifestyle, which includes painting his fingernails and dying his hair in multiple colors.

In his NBA career, Dennis Rodman has amassed an impressive record, with a total of 5 NBA Championships, 6,683 career points, 11,954 rebounds, and 1,600 assists. In my opinion, Dennis Rodman was the greatest small forward rebounder of his era. Despite his on-court antics and unconventional lifestyle, he overcame his troubled childhood and achieved great success as a player in the NBA.

Dennis Rodman's biography is an honest, raw, and self-mocking account.

It is truly one of the most honest biographies I have ever read.

Rodman, a cult hero, was the best guard of the highly successful Chicago Bulls in the 90s and also a member of the American Dream Team. However, outside the NBA court, he was highly controversial.

Rodman vividly describes how he worked his way up in the tough NBA world, leaving no stone unturned. From a humble and lousy job at the airport during his difficult childhood to becoming one of the most successful guards in NBA history.

Rodman is unapologetic and indignant, sparing no one. He takes on the NBA management, Madonna's pleas for him to be with her, some NBA players, the world around the NBA, racism, sexuality, and even himself.

Rodman's message is clear: "F*ck the world, I do my thing." He does exactly what he wants, regardless of what others may think or say. His biography is a fascinating and unfiltered look into the life of a basketball legend.

This is a truly terrible and self-serving book.

It seems as if the author was only concerned with promoting their own agenda and not with providing any real value or useful information to the readers.

The content is shallow and lacks any real depth or substance.

It's filled with empty platitudes and baseless claims that do nothing but waste the reader's time.

There's no real analysis or critical thinking involved, just a lot of self-promotion and self-congratulation.

In short, this book is a complete waste of money and should be avoided at all costs.

Don't be fooled by the flashy cover or the glowing reviews on the back.

This is a book that will leave you feeling disappointed and cheated.

Save your money and invest in a book that actually has something worthwhile to say.

Another book that I have possessed for a considerable number of years is this one.

It was my second encounter with it, yet when I perused it again for the second time, I couldn't recall any specific segments of the book, which perhaps says a great deal.

Certain chapters I discovered to be rather interesting. The high points encompassed detailed accounts of his time with Detroit, his relationship with Madonna, his brief and controversy-ridden tenure with San Antonio, and his arrival in Chicago.

However, I can't help but have the impression that Rodman is somewhat of a complainer and a whiner. He frequently reiterates the fact that he feels undervalued and undercompensated by the NBA hierarchy, and the overarching theme throughout is one of 'I'm so unfairly treated'. Yet, at no juncture does Rodman describe how he often invites trouble and pursues controversy through his actions.

Are there superior basketball novels available? The answer is yes. Will I read this one again? It's improbable. But having said that, it isn't that abysmal. It is worth a read for any enthusiast of 80s/90s NBA basketball.

This is easily the best book I have ever read.

I have already read this book twice, and I'm currently about two-thirds of the way through my third reading.

I used to hate reading. However, reading this particular book has such a profound impact that it makes you feel compelled to get up and take action, specifically in the context of rebounding.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone above the age of 13. If you don't like it, then perhaps we just don't have the same taste, and I would rather not engage in conversation with you about it.

This book has truly changed my perspective on reading and has inspired me to look at life from a different angle. It's not just a book; it's a source of motivation and inspiration.

I can't wait to see how many more times I'll read it in the future and how it will continue to influence me.

I read this book with the intention of getting out of my comfort zone. I have a great fondness for this book because Dennis Rodman is truly an extraordinary figure who defies the norm.

There is an abundance of information within the pages of this book, along with numerous thoughts and insights from Mr Rodman. All or most of these are worthy of our time to carefully consider and reflect upon.

I am someone who is always eager to try and engage in new things. Therefore, I was drawn to this book due to all the novel and distinct thoughts it presents. Life is fleeting, and we should live it according to our own desires...be as wild and unrestrained as we wish.

This book has opened my eyes to different perspectives and has inspired me to embrace the unknown and step outside the boundaries of what is considered normal. It serves as a reminder that there is a whole world of possibilities waiting for us if we are willing to take risks and explore.

This isn't so much an autobiography as it is the delineated ramblings of Dennis Rodman.

The book commences with several narrative elements regarding his life. However, approximately 30 pages in, it simply transforms into him articulating his opinions on David Stern, the future of the NBA, and which players he believes should earn more money (and he's correct about it).

It then meanders on to his views concerning sex, race, money, dating Madonna, and his sexuality. I have sympathy for the co-writer who had to render Dennis' musings into a coherent book, yet it is enjoyable.

Is it largely ranting? Yes, but the ranting just so happens to originate from a character as fascinating as Dennis Rodman.

Overall, while it may not be a traditional autobiography, it offers a unique and engaging perspective into the mind of one of the most colorful figures in sports history.

It's a book that will appeal to fans of Rodman and those interested in the inner workings of a complex and controversial personality.

Despite its flaws, it manages to capture the essence of Dennis Rodman and his unfiltered thoughts and feelings.

Whether you love him or hate him, there's no denying that he has a story to tell, and this book provides a platform for him to do just that.

This was absolutely a trashy celebrity autobiography, the type that I just love. It makes me feel so relieved that I'm not a book editor or a ghost writer. There are thousands of fonts of varying sizes and italics throughout the pages.

But here's the thing, Dennis Rodman and I actually have a lot in common. From hating to wear shoes to dating Madonna, it's kind of strange. And yet, I still trudge on through this book.

My favorite thing about this genre is that these autobiographies are always written before that person, 15 years later, goes on shows like "The Apprentice," then "Celebrity Rehab," and finally "Sober House." I've read that Dr. Drew thinks Rodman has Asperger's, and that could very well be true. There's a scene in "Sober House" where he apprehensively and confusedly buys a bottle of lemonade, and that's pretty much the subtext of this entire book. It's a wild ride, but I can't seem to put it down.

Dennis Rodman is a figure who crosses all of our minds more often than we might like to admit, and he is well aware of this fact. He knows that his enormous spirit overpowers our feeble, intellectual minds, leaving us with no choice but to bear witness to his grandeur.

Interestingly, he mentions Pearl Jam six times in the first three pages. However, as you progress through the book, you'll likely get really sick of him after two-thirds of it.

Moreover, I don't like the way he treated Madonna. She was a vulnerable woman who simply wanted to be held and comforted.

With his dyed hair, nose rings, sexually liberated attitude, and bisexuality in his mind, one might think he was the blueprint for all female liberal arts students. His flamboyant and unconventional style has had a significant impact on popular culture, whether we like it or not.

Overall, Dennis Rodman is a complex and controversial figure, and his actions and words continue to spark debate and discussion.

I never knew Dennis Rodman was such a huge Pearl Jam fan.

It's quite astonishing to think about this unexpected connection. Dennis Rodman, known for his flamboyant and rebellious personality on the basketball court, has a deep love for the music of Pearl Jam.

Pearl Jam, on the other hand, is a renowned rock band with a passionate following. The fact that Rodman is a big fan of theirs shows that there is more to him than meets the eye.

It makes one wonder what it is about Pearl Jam's music that appeals to him so much. Maybe it's the raw energy, the powerful lyrics, or the unique sound that speaks to his soul.

This discovery also adds an interesting dimension to Rodman's already complex and colorful life. It shows that even the most unlikely people can have hidden passions and interests.

It makes me curious to know if there are other unexpected musical connections in the world of sports and entertainment.
