He is also an eccentric personality. He dyes his hair, wears nail varnish, dresses up like a woman when he feels like it, and rides a pink Harley Davidson.

Rodman is a 5-time NBA champion, twice with Detroit and three times with Chicago. He played a crucial role in building the legend of the Chicago Bulls alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.

He is not only a sports star but also a glitz and glam celebrity. He has dated Madonna and married Carmen Electra.

In his autobiography, Rodman tells his story without holding back. He starts from 1993 when the police found him with a gun in a pick-up truck parked in a Detroit stadium. He then goes on to talk about his childhood in the poor Black ghettos of Dallas, his college days, his friendships, his divorces, his relationships with his daughter and with celebrities like Madonna, and his career as a player with different teams.

The style of the book is crude, and Rodman has a big mouth. He can be annoying at times, especially when he complains about his salary. However, he also uses the opportunity to make some smart points. He criticizes the NBA for becoming a circus and for paying young players exorbitant salaries just for show. He also denounces the hypocritical homophobia and racial prejudices in sports.

Overall, Rodman's autobiography is more than just about basketball. It is a sensible, intelligent, and blunt outlook on sports and the NBA by one of its most controversial veterans. It is a truly enjoyable read.

I had high expectations for this event. I thought it would be a memorable and exciting experience. I expected to meet new people, learn new things, and have a great time. I was looking forward to seeing the精彩 performances and enjoying the delicious food. I also hoped to gain some valuable insights and inspiration from the event.

However, things didn't quite turn out as I expected. The event was a bit disorganized, and there were some technical difficulties. The performances were not as精彩 as I had hoped, and the food was just okay. I was a little disappointed, but I tried to make the best of it.

Despite the setbacks, I still managed to have a good time. I met some interesting people and had some great conversations. I also learned a few things that I will take away with me. Overall, it was not the perfect event I had imagined, but it was still a worthwhile experience.

I read this a long time ago.

At that time, I was a huge Dennis Rodman fan!

Dennis Rodman was an extraordinary basketball player. His unique style on the court made him stand out. He was known for his tenacious rebounding ability, which was truly remarkable.

Not only was he great at rebounding, but his flamboyant personality also attracted a lot of attention. He would often dye his hair in various colors and wear eccentric outfits, which added to his charm.

I would watch his games religiously, cheering him on every step of the way. His passion and energy on the court were contagious, and it made me love the game of basketball even more.

Even though it has been a long time since then, my admiration for Dennis Rodman still remains. He will always be one of my favorite basketball players of all time.

I can truly appreciate the way he traverses through life, unapologetically being himself. What's more, he has this wonderful quality of inspiring and encouraging others to follow suit, to embrace their freedom.

It's truly remarkable how he lives life on his own terms, not conforming to the norms and expectations that society often imposes. His authenticity is truly refreshing in a world where so many people are trying to fit into a certain mold.

The most captivating aspect of his story, without a doubt, was his detailed recount of his time spent with Madonna. It was as if he opened up a whole new world for us, sharing the intimate and interesting moments they had together.

However, when it comes to the rest of the story, it just didn't quite have the same level of excitement or intrigue. It felt a bit lackluster in comparison. But overall, his journey and the way he approaches life still holds a certain charm and appeal.

I purchased the book right before the release of its Italian translation.

It took me a considerable amount of time to finish it. This was due to the fact that I was diverted by several other books and also because it is an unconventional read.

I adored the layout, with its various fonts that effectively conveyed Rodman's diverse emotions regarding what he was depicting.

Overall, "Bad as I Wanna Be" appears to be a kind of justification for his behavior until he began playing in Chicago. He elaborates on all his idiosyncrasies in great detail, demonstrating that what people perceive from the outside is vastly different from what he experiences.

He is rather exaggerated in many parts. He portrays himself as if he were the sole person open to homosexuality and those with AIDS, not comprehended by any coaches, not overly interested in Madonna and their love story, not overly interested in the theme of racism, and so on.

However, he writes what he thinks in a manner that I believe is uncommon to encounter 30 years after the publication of this book.

The anecdotes about Madonna, his near-suicide, his number "91", his relationship with the Detroit Pistons and their coach are truly fascinating.

It is recommended for those who witnessed Rodman playing and for those who watched "The Last Dance".

Flamboyant. This is the word that I believe best defines Dennis Rodman. I have been eager to read this book for years as I have always regarded him as a truly fascinating character, both for his actions on and off the court.

The book commences with a chapter where Rodman contemplates suicide. He is sitting in his pickup truck, handling a rifle, and having such thoughts. Eventually, he makes a decision: to be himself, to let his true personality shine through, just as he is. It was 1992 (the book was published in 1997), and later he was transferred from the Detroit Pistons to the San Antonio Spurs.

This incident that took place in a parking lot is alluded to several times throughout the book. It marks the birth of the true Rodman, the flamboyant one.

I consider this to be a great autobiography in the sense that it truly feels as if you are "listening" to Rodman. These could very well be his words, his thoughts, his opinions. It encompasses all that a biography should be, allowing us to understand how he perceives himself.

Rodman discusses all the issues surrounding him: teammates, rivals, coaches, the management, the public, the NBA establishment. He talks about his relationship with Madonna (they were together for six months). He also delves into topics such as drugs, sex, and money. As he put it, the NBA is fifty percent sex and fifty percent money.

One of the reasons I believe this to be a genuine autobiography (rather than a fake one entirely written by a journalist) is the fact that Rodman often contradicts himself. He is capable of making a statement and then the opposite in just two or three paragraphs. This occurs frequently across various topics and is a clear indication of his mindset and his way of being.

At the same time, he has very interesting ideas. His thoughts on all kinds of topics are natural, free, and quite different from what we typically encounter in the NBA. However, Rodman constantly justifies himself. He feels misunderstood (as he is different from everyone else) and always believes he deserves a better financial deal. He comes back to these two subjects repeatedly.

Finally, I would like to comment on the changes in the type and size of the font in this edition. It occurs on every page, every eight or ten sentences. I finished the book feeling weary and tired of this, finding it rather disgusting and it made the reading more difficult. It could have been done once or twice in a chapter, and that would have been fine. But this often... no!
