Why would an organization that is dedicated to the purity of race select the symbol of a hybrid creature? This is a rather puzzling question. It seems quite counterintuitive.

Also, the fact that that particular guy didn't have a tattoo is rather strange. It appears to be a random choice made merely for the sake of a plot twist, rather than a logical outcome based on the character's traits and background.

Moreover, at that one meeting, all the other Chimera members are completely disregarded as suspects based on nothing more than a gut feeling. Granted, they might not have known who those people were, but they should have been given far more consideration than just a single sentence dismissing them. This lack of proper investigation and analysis makes the whole situation seem rather flimsy and undermines the credibility of the story.

Overall, these aspects raise several questions about the coherence and logic of the narrative.

The second installment of the series presents some truly horrific introductory crimes that manage to instantly capture the reader's attention.

However, this attention is unfortunately soon lost as the narrative delves deeply into the personal and professional lives of the Club members. As they embark on the mission to find a madman, the story seems to get bogged down in these details.

Despite the fact that the series is filled with clichés and tropes, the core concept remains undeniably cool. A group of women from diverse professions and backgrounds come together to solve murders. This unique premise has the potential to be engaging and exciting, but perhaps in this installment, it gets overshadowed by other elements.

Overall, while the series has its flaws, the basic idea of women collaborating to solve crimes is still an interesting and appealing one.

We have a serial sniper on the loose, seemingly targeting African Americans with connections to San Francisco police officers. Lindsay, now a lieutenant, is not effectively tracking her people or ensuring progress on her other cases. However, she soon becomes fixated on this particular case and enlists the help of the Women's Murder Club.

Honestly, I had a strong dislike for "2nd Chance". We discover what happened years ago when a police officer murdered a young black boy, yet Boxer and her friends simply ignore it. I found this to be absolute garbage and was truly upset that there were no consequences for this aspect of the book, which was just randomly dropped on us.

I also deeply loathed the storyline where Jill gets pregnant but loses her baby because she is dedicated to her job. It is extremely gross and blatantly sexist.

Cindy doesn't have much to do in this installment except decide that she is in love with a local reverend.

Lindsay was uninteresting, and her reconciliation with her father seemed to come out of nowhere, clearly related to the case she is working on. Everything was predictable and dull.

The writing remains choppy, and at this point, the two books appear to be following the same formula. We catch a bad guy, but oh wait, it's not the real bad guy, and we end with Lindsay on the verge of being killed only to somehow shoot the bad guy herself.

Old reviews seem to have gone missing. It's really strange how the save function doesn't seem to be working properly.

This is quite concerning as those old reviews might have held valuable insights and feedback.

However, despite this issue, I still have to say that the Women's Murder Club series is truly great.

I absolutely love it. The storylines are engaging, the characters are well-developed, and it keeps me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.

I hope that the problem with the save function gets resolved soon so that the old reviews can be retrieved and the series can continue to shine without any technical glitches.

Overall, I highly recommend the Women's Murder Club series to anyone who enjoys a good mystery or crime drama.

The Women's Murder Club series is truly on fire with this installment. This book completely outshines the first one.

Detective Lindsay Boxer serves as the main narrator, which is highly appropriate considering the mystery crafted by Patterson.

Medical examiner Claire never fails to bring her dry and witty sense of humor to the table.

Assistant D.A. Jill, on the other hand, has a rather minimal presence in this particular story, functioning mostly as a plot prop.

Chronicle reporter Cindy adds a great deal with the subplot revolving around the goings-on in her office and the lengths she has to go to in order to secure a story.

The Chimera, the villain in this book, is excellent. The mystery surrounding this character is captivating. However, the way in which the mystery is ultimately resolved is a bit lackluster.

Despite these minor flaws, the book offers excellent suspense. Overall, it earns a solid 4 - 4.5 stars.

Once again, James Patterson and Andrew Gross have joined forces to captivate the reader with yet another thrilling page-turner.

Lieutenant Lindsey Boxer and her comrades in the Women's Murder Club, Clare, Cindy, and Jill, are brought together to solve a case that involves a sharp shooter terrorizing the city.

The twists and complications in this case are characteristic of Patterson's intrigues, but with a fascinating and surprising conclusion.

Anyone who has relished this series will discover that this installment is just as worthy as the previous ones.

The story unfolds with Lindsey and her team racing against time to track down the elusive sharp shooter.

As they dig deeper, they encounter numerous obstacles and red herrings that keep them on their toes.

The chemistry between the members of the Women's Murder Club adds an extra layer of depth to the narrative, as they support and rely on each other throughout the investigation.

The conclusion of the story is both unexpected and satisfying, leaving readers eager for the next installment in the series.

Of course, she couldn't do it without the help and support of her close friends, Jill, Claire, and Cindy. Together, they form a powerful team, each bringing their own unique skills and perspectives to the table.

This latest installment in the series is a quick, suspenseful read that I simply couldn't put down. The story is full of twists and turns, keeping me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.

I thought this one was really good.

The plot was engaging from the very beginning, keeping me on the edge of my seat throughout the story.

The characters were well-developed, and I found myself really invested in their fates.

But what really stood out to me was the identity of the killer. It was completely unexpected, and I never would have guessed it in a million years.

The author did an excellent job of planting clues and red herrings along the way, making it a truly satisfying mystery to solve.

Overall, I would highly recommend this story to anyone who loves a good mystery. It's definitely one of the best I've read in a long time.
