Nope, it does not give you the cure in the sense that "read this book and you will no longer be in pain". I know I read it and guess what? I am still in the same amount of pain. I think the best way to describe it is that the book gave me a new perspective on things. It also showed me the things I need to do and eat to help lessen and deal with the pain I suffer from FMS and CFS. Let's face it, being in pain 365 days a year, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. It gets to you emotionally and physically and sometimes breaks us mentally. The book taught me where to put my anger, faith, trust, hope and prayers. And it made me realize that, unlike what I was beginning to think, I am not being punished after all. It's not a magic bullet that will make all the pain disappear instantly. But it has provided me with some valuable tools and a new mindset to better cope with this difficult situation. I still have a long way to go in my journey of dealing with pain, but this book has definitely been a helpful step in the right direction.
