I'm not a fan of the elements related to the god, Bible, and Jesus.

However, the article does offer some good health recommendations.

It's important to note that while I may not have an affinity for the religious aspects, the health advice presented could potentially be valuable.

We should always approach such information with an open mind and consider what might be beneficial for our own well-being.

Perhaps we can take the good health suggestions and apply them to our lives, regardless of our personal beliefs or lack thereof.

Of course, a healthy lifestyle encompasses many more aspects. However, these seven can truly be considered the "pillars" that support our well-being. They have already had a significant impact on my own health habits!

About the Seven Pillars

Water: Adequate hydration is crucial for our health. This is not a novel idea, yet many of us need to be reminded of its importance. There are several books that delve deeper into this topic, such as Your Body's Many Cries for Water, You're Not Sick You're Thirsty, and Water: The Ultimate Cure. It is recommended to drink water before you feel thirsty, as by the time you experience thirst, you are already dehydrated. Drink about half an hour before a meal or two hours after. There are specific reasons for this, which are explored in more detail in these books. During a meal, it is advisable to drink only 4 to 8 ounces of water to avoid diluting the digestive process. Tony Robbins also touches on this in Unlimited Power.

Sleep and Rest: Aim to get seven to nine hours of sleep per night. The author delves into the reasons why this is important and what factors might be interfering with our sleep. Dimming the lights in the evening can help the brain prepare for sleep, and there is an interesting chemical explanation for this. Ensure that the bedroom is dark and clutter-free to create a conducive sleep environment. Using an appreciation list before going to bed can also help to calm the mind and promote relaxation. Power naps are another interesting aspect. I was initially resistant to napping, as I felt it took away from my work time. However, research has shown that napping can be highly beneficial. A study at NASA on sleepy military pilots and astronauts found that a forty-minute nap improved performance by 34 percent and alertness by 100 percent. Naps can also extend alertness later in the day, providing a much-needed boost of energy.
