This book took me quite some time to get through as there is an abundance of information within its pages.

I had the desire to read another health book in order to compare what Dr. Asa Andrew had stated in his work. Both books proved to be extremely beneficial and did an excellent job of educating me on the art of living with enhanced health.

Some of the content was common sense, while some was technical information presented in a casual tone.

Dr. Colbert divides this book into 50 days of reading, which is highly manageable for those who aren't overly fond of reading. He zeroes in on seven pillars of health and composes 7 small chapters for each larger pillar.

There is an abundance of valuable information in this book that I would suggest reading it at a slow pace.

The aspects that astonished me the most were:
- The facts regarding water: bottled, tap, and filtered
- The issues associated with plastic bottles
- The manner in which nutrients interact with one another

This book will definitely be a re-read for me.

The most practical book on health that I have read so far is truly remarkable.

I have been gradually working towards mastering all seven pillars. I often refer back to this book as a valuable reference and a checklist for achieving my goals.

The sleep pillar is something I have been practicing for years. For the water pillar, I decided to start with it on my journey to healthy living. Supplements were also easily accessible.

I managed stress through yoga and deep breathing. Exercise was achieved with the aforementioned yoga and deep breathing, along with walking, stretching, and the isometric stance shown by the doctor in this book.

The living food diet is what I am currently working on, combined with detoxification. I hope to reduce or even eliminate some of the prescriptions I am taking. I currently take a drug to relieve the symptoms of fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed with Grave's disease, which corrected itself, but now I have hypothyroidism and take a prescription for that. When I was diagnosed with Grave's disease, I was also diagnosed with high blood pressure, so I take two medications for that plus a statin.

I suffered from atrial fibrillation, which has been corrected, and the cardiologist found my left carotid artery completely blocked. I have sleep apnea and use a breathing machine. Recently, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and have a prescription for that too. I am overweight by 50 pounds.

I shared all of this to say that this book has helped me achieve and regain some of my health. I look forward to achieving weight loss, which I hope will reduce or eliminate some of the prescriptions I take, relieve the pain I experience daily, and make me a stronger person. Thank you, Dr. Colbert.

I first read this book back in 2010, and it truly had a profound impact on my mindset regarding food, water, and health.

After delving into its pages and engaging in some serious self-reflection, I was able to achieve a remarkable weight loss of 60 lbs.

This book is an absolute gem if you have a genuine desire to expand your knowledge about the food, water, and supplements that you consume on a daily basis.

Just this year, I decided to read it again for a follow-up and review.

It's important to note that while the information presented in this book is great and can serve as an excellent starting point on your journey to better health, it should be taken with a grain of salt, so to speak.

After all, everyone's body is unique, and what works for one person may not work exactly the same way for another.

Nevertheless, this book offers valuable insights and practical tips that can help you make more informed decisions about your diet and lifestyle.

So, if you're looking to embark on a path towards improved health and well-being, I highly recommend giving this book a read.

A good foundation for healthy living is essential for everyone. It provides the necessary building blocks to lead a fulfilling and active life. However, when it comes to the author in question, I have some reservations. While this particular work may offer valuable insights into healthy living, I'm not entirely convinced that I would be interested in reading anything else by him.

There could be several reasons for this. Maybe his writing style doesn't resonate with me, or perhaps the topics he covers in his other works don't align with my interests. It's also possible that I haven't been exposed to enough of his work to form a more comprehensive opinion.

Nevertheless, I do recognize the importance of a good foundation for healthy living, and I will continue to seek out reliable sources of information on this topic. Whether or not I choose to explore more of this author's work remains to be seen.

I truly believed that this particular book was the absolute best overall book on health that I had ever come across. The information it contains is of utmost importance and significance. However, what makes it even more remarkable is that it is an extremely easy read. It manages to address most, if not all, areas of health in a comprehensive and detailed manner. This book has really had a profound impact on me and has inspired me to "get my act together" and make a conscious effort to eat in a more healthy and nutritious manner. It has opened my eyes to the importance of taking care of my body and has provided me with the knowledge and motivation to make positive changes in my lifestyle.

The experience was a little too religious for my personal taste. I didn't feel that I learned an excessive amount during this encounter. However, on the other hand, there was still some good information to be found.

It seems that the religious aspect overshadowed some of the educational value for me. I was perhaps hoping for a more balanced approach that focused less on the religious teachings and more on practical knowledge or diverse perspectives.

Nevertheless, I was able to glean a few useful insights from the overall experience. It just goes to show that even in situations that may not be entirely to our liking, there can still be something of worth to take away.

In the future, I will be more cautious when approaching similar activities to ensure that my expectations are better aligned with what is being offered.

In my opinion, this is an excellent book.

Sometimes, common sense isn't as straightforward as it seems, and we need someone to explain it clearly. I really appreciate the fact that it is designed to be read one chapter per day, as there is a wealth of information to absorb.

Without a doubt, this is a book that I will read again, and I have already started implementing many of the ideas. Overall, it is an outstanding resource to have.

I have now purchased his other book on achieving good health through fasting and detoxification. I'm looking forward to delving into that one as well and seeing what new insights and knowledge I can gain.

I highly recommend both of these books to anyone who is interested in personal growth, health, and well-being. They are both well-written, engaging, and full of practical advice that can be applied to our daily lives.

This book offers a plethora of common-sense hints and tips for maintaining good health.

What I really appreciated was its layout. It is neatly divided into 50 short segments, intended to be read one per day over a span of 50 days. Each day comes with an action item that you either do once or, more commonly, continue to do as a habit from that point forward.

However, there is a downside. Some of the things mentioned in the book raise questions about their efficacy and safety. For example, there are references to bioidentical compounded hormones. So, implementing some of the suggestions requires a significant amount of additional research.

Moreover, many of the supplements listed happen to be sold by Dr. Colbert's company. Naturally, he would endorse a product that he believes is of high quality, which is understandable. But it still makes it challenging to follow his advice on certain points without having to invest in something from which he or his company stands to make a profit.

Overall, while the book has its merits in terms of providing health tips and a structured reading plan, the issues regarding the efficacy and safety of some content, as well as the connection to Dr. Colbert's company, need to be carefully considered.

This book was truly motivational. It had a profound impact on me as it prompted me to take some crucial steps.

I started to focus more on improving my eating habits. I became more conscious of the types of foods I consumed and also the ones I served to my family.

I began to read food labels more carefully, looking for hidden ingredients and nutritional information. I made a conscious effort to choose whole, unprocessed foods over their refined counterparts.

I also started to plan my meals in advance, ensuring that they were balanced and included a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.

By making these changes, I not only felt better physically but also had more energy and a greater sense of well-being. I am grateful to this book for inspiring me to make these positive changes in my life.

It consists of 7 important pillars.

The first pillar is Water. Adequate water intake is crucial for maintaining good health.

Sleep and Rest is the second pillar. Sufficient sleep and proper rest allow our bodies and minds to rejuvenate.

Living Food is the third pillar. Consuming fresh, natural, and nutrient-rich foods provides the necessary fuel for our bodies.

I think that it had great principles for the most part.

I have learned a TON about WHY so many things are crucial for your health, such as drinking an adequate amount of water, taking vitamins regularly, getting enough sleep each night, and maintaining a healthy diet.

You also come to understand what occurs physiologically if you neglect to do those things.

The author, who is a Doctor, explains how your body functions in an easy-to-understand manner to assist you in grasping WHY it reacts in certain ways.

Interestingly, this Doctor rarely prescribes medication. Instead, he prescribes water, sleep, a healthy diet, exercise, vitamins, and stress relief.

For that reason alone, I hold him in high regard and take his views seriously.

Moreover, he is a very religious man, and it was quite nice to see evidence not only from top medical journals and studies but also from the Bible, which holds even greater significance for him.

Although there were some things he talked about that I didn't entirely agree with or thought he took to an extreme, we are implementing approximately 80% of what he said into our daily life.

This is because we firmly believe that he is teaching true principles.

If you're in search of a book that can cover a wide range of aspects regarding living a healthy life, this is indeed a great one.
