In the fourth grade, I had an insatiable appetite for books. I would devour them one after another, as if they were the most delicious treats. Every spare moment I had, I would pick up a book and lose myself in its pages. Whether it was a thrilling adventure story, a heartwarming tale of friendship, or a fascinating book about history or science, I couldn't get enough. The words on the pages seemed to come alive, painting vivid pictures in my mind and taking me on amazing journeys. I would laugh out loud at the funny parts, hold my breath during the exciting moments, and feel a range of emotions as I followed the characters' experiences. Reading became my favorite pastime, and it opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me. It not only improved my vocabulary and comprehension skills but also sparked my imagination and creativity. To this day, I still remember the joy and excitement I felt when I "ate these books up" in the fourth grade.
