I've never read (or listened to in this case) a book by Lois Lowry that I didn't like.

Her works have always managed to captivate me from the very beginning.

Whether it's the thought-provoking themes she explores or the richly developed characters she creates, Lois Lowry has a unique talent for storytelling.

Each of her books takes me on a journey through different worlds and experiences, making me feel a wide range of emotions.

From the heart-wrenching sadness in "The Giver" to the inspiring hope in "Number the Stars," her stories have a profound impact on me.

I can't wait to see what other wonderful books she has in store for us in the future.

I highly recommend her works to anyone who loves to read and be transported to new and exciting places.

You won't be disappointed!

Exquisite.

Lowry crafted a truly enchanting and sweet story. It delves into the world of dream givers and reveals how they play a crucial role in helping humans experience good dreams, even during the toughest and roughest times of their lives.

Despite being categorized as a young adult book, I found it incredibly relatable. It didn't matter that I wasn't in the target age group. The themes and emotions explored within its pages spoke to me on a deep level.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a captivating read from start to finish, and I couldn't put it down. I would毫不犹豫地 give it a perfect 5/5 stars. It's a book that I would highly recommend to anyone, regardless of their age, who loves a beautifully told story that touches the heart.

In my opinion, Gossamer was not as good as other remarkable books by Lois Lowry such as The Giver.

This particular one was extremely simplistic and, at times, overly repetitive.

I was initially intrigued by the story line of the elderly woman who takes in and fosters a troubled young boy.

However, I couldn't help but wonder if her approach of glossing over all the crass and rude remarks he made was truly the appropriate way to respond to a troubled child.

The other aspect of the story that involved magical creatures who bestow dreams upon humans reminded me of The BFG.

Overall, it was just an okay read, lacking the depth and complexity that I have come to expect from Lois Lowry's works.

Perhaps others may have a different perspective, but for me, Gossamer fell short of the high standards set by her other novels.

I've read this book twice now, and yet, the story remains just as enchanting as it was the very first time. Lois Lowry's remarkable talent for intertwining an engaging plot with captivating wordplay makes all of her books an absolute delight to read.

Gossamer is a beautiful tale that delves into the themes of healing, family, and dreams. Even though the majority of the story unfolds within a lonely old house, every single character holds great significance. It's important to note that this book does contain references to beer and smoking, which are presented as negative aspects. Additionally, child abuse and spouse abuse also play a role in the narrative.

There is a valid reason why Lois Lowry is both widely beloved and sometimes challenged. She fearlessly writes about the incredibly difficult and evil aspects of our society, such as abuse and the murder of the helpless, as seen in The Giver. However, the way she presents these topics is through engaging and thought-provoking stories. She shares, much like the Dream-givers, fragments of stories that demand to be told.

Overall, Lois Lowry's work continues to have a profound impact on readers, challenging us to face the harsh realities of the world while also offering hope and the possibility of change.

In 1386,

the author:

Sheila Entezarian

Kucholo (the Pixie) is an imaginary and dream-giving personality to humans. These personalities, by touching the things belonging to humans, attract their beautiful memories and then, by focusing on them, enter those memories into the dreams of humans and bring peace and balance to them with sweet dreams.

Evil imaginary beings also make people have nightmares. The Pixie becomes responsible for a boy named Jan who is restless and mischievous, and it is very difficult to give him sweet dreams. On the other hand, since the Pixie is still very small and weak, the evil beings become more active. But finally, this small being manages, with special inventions, to be a creative personality and, by using the tiniest things and a seashell that the boy always has with him,... give the boy a peaceful sleep along with good and sweet dreams so that he can resist the nightmares that the evil beings have prepared for him. Guiding the dreams of adults like Jan's mother is also the responsibility of adult imaginary personalities. This book deals with the topic of psychological and spiritual blows resulting from childhood crises, puberty, growth, and the changes resulting from them in the form of a fantasy story. Two parallel worlds move forward together as a result; a fantasy world in which supernatural beings form its society and their duty is to create the dreams of real humans. The other world is the real one where the main character, due to the traumas of childhood and the father's teachings to him, has become a sullen, anti-social, and evil boy, and the nightmares resulting from these memories have deprived him of a significant amount of peace.

This one feels a bit timeless,

as if it could be enjoyed by anyone at any age.

It is remarkably short,

and I find myself longing for just a little more.

However, I must admit that I truly enjoyed what was accomplished with the limited content we received.

The brevity of it has a certain charm,

forcing the reader to engage and imagine beyond the words on the page.

It's like a small gem that shines bright in its simplicity.

Despite its short length, it manages to convey a sense of something deeper,

leaving an impression that lingers long after the last word is read.

I can't help but wonder what else could have been explored if it were a bit longer,

but perhaps that's part of its allure.

It makes me appreciate the power of concise storytelling and the ability to create something memorable with just a few well-chosen words.

This book truly had a profound impact on me, making me think about it for weeks after I finished reading.

It belongs to the middle school aged genre, yet I was completely captivated by the incredibly creative idea it presented.

The author's explanation of how objects create our memories through gossamers touching the objects in our dreams was simply mind-boggling.

It made me view my dreams in an entirely new light.

Now, whenever I close my eyes at night, I can't help but wonder what memories might be being formed or influenced by the objects that appear in my dreams.

This book has truly changed the way I think about dreams and memories, and I'll never dream the same again.

I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and thought-provoking read.

Another delight by the talented Lois Lowry, which I randomly picked up at the library.

It is truly amazing how she has the ability to construct a world and bring characters to life within such a limited number of pages.

The story she weaves is captivating and engaging from start to finish.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and found myself completely immersed in the narrative.

Moreover, I can't wait to share this wonderful book with my son by reading it aloud to him.

I believe he will also be charmed by the unique world and the interesting characters that Lois Lowry has created.

This book is not only a great read for children but also for adults who appreciate good literature.

Lois Lowry's writing style is simple yet powerful, making it accessible to readers of all ages.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an enjoyable and thought-provoking read.

This is just a slip of a book and a very quick read.

However, Lois Lowry, with her remarkable talent, manages to infuse it with weightier material in that deft way she has.

The story may seem simple on the surface, but as one delves deeper, they discover the profound themes and emotions that lie beneath.

Lowry's writing is so skillful that she is able to convey complex ideas and feelings with ease, making the reader fully engaged from start to finish.

Despite its brevity, this book has the power to leave a lasting impression and make the reader think about life, love, and the human condition.

It is a testament to Lowry's ability as a writer that she can create such a rich and meaningful work in such a short space.

Overall, this is a book that is well worth reading, even if it can be finished in a single sitting.
