Never fails to entertain

I have to say that this story truly never fails to entertain. The introduction of new characters was a real highlight for me. In particular, the character of Azrael really caught my attention. There is just something about him that makes me eager to see more of his story unfold. I find myself constantly wondering what adventures and challenges he will face in the future.

Another aspect that kept me on the edge of my seat was the mystery surrounding the cats' secret. I was completely engaged from start to finish, trying to figure out who will be let in on this secret in the next book. The anticipation is killing me! I can't wait to see how the author will continue to develop this storyline and what new surprises are in store for us.

This book has definitely left me hungry for more, and I will be eagerly awaiting the release of the next installment.

These cats are no ordinary ones. They belong to an ancient tribe and possess the ability to talk. Although they are not old, they are indeed talking cats. Only Joe and Dulcie's owners are aware of their special powers. They also have a knack for solving crimes.

Molena Point is in jeopardy. Their peaceful little town is being thrown into chaos with a spate of crimes and murders. This is not the first book in the series. The author, Shirley R. Murphy, has done an excellent job. I highly recommend this exciting book to everyone. As Publisher's Weekly put it, it is "a Cat-chy tale... fast-paced."

It will keep you on the edge of your seat and leave you eagerly anticipating the next installment.

I thought the first two books of this series were truly delightful. They had a charm and a magic that simply captivated me from the very beginning.

However, when it came to books 3 and 4, I have to admit that I did not enjoy them quite as much. Maybe it was because the story took a bit of a different turn, or perhaps my expectations had changed.

I listen to these books on audio, and I must say that the reader does an excellent job. Their voice brings the characters and the story to life in a wonderful way.

But for now, I think I will take a break and listen to other things for a while. I need to give my mind a rest and explore some other literary adventures before I move on to book 5 of this series. I'm sure there are many other great stories out there waiting for me to discover.

An okay story, but Ms Murphy is no Lillian J. Braun. I have been constantly hoping to come across a cat cozy that I can snuggle up to and truly enjoy. However, up until now, all the ones I have encountered have left me with a sense of longing for something more. This particular one is no exception. It has its moments, but it fails to reach the level of charm and warmth that I expect from a great cat cozy. The story line is decent, but it lacks that special something that would make it truly memorable. I will continue my search, hoping to find that perfect cat cozy that will bring me the comfort and entertainment I desire.

I absolutely adore these two cats. They are the most charming and可爱的 creatures. One is a fluffy tabby with bright green eyes that seem to sparkle with mischief. The other is a sleek black cat with a mysterious air about it. They have brought so much joy and entertainment into my life. Watching them play together, chasing after toys and pouncing on each other, is simply hilarious. They also love to curl up beside me when I'm reading or watching TV, providing warmth and comfort. Their soft fur and gentle purrs are so soothing. I can't imagine my life without these two wonderful cats. They truly are a blessing and I would give them 5 stars if I could!

I am gradually making my way through this series, and I have a deep affection for each and every one of them.

This fourth installment in the Joe Grey series presents a captivating mystery centered around amateur sleuths Joe Grey and Dulcie, two sentient cats who share a bond deeper than that of best friends. In this entry, there is a thread running through it that explores the theme of love, or the absence thereof, and the diverse manifestations of love. Joe Grey and Dulcie are passionately in love and strive to spend as much time together as they can. Their love for investigating crimes is equally intense. However, they must be extremely cautious as they don't wish to disclose their extraordinary abilities of speech and reading. Sounds far-fetched and unbelievable? Well, not in the deft hands of Mrs. Murphy or with Susan Boyce's proficient narration.

Wilma's niece Charlie's new Clean it, Fix it business is flourishing. Under the silent supervision of the cats, she has two employees, Mavity and Pearl Ann, to whom she delegates the cleaning and minor repairs while she tackles the heavier fixing tasks. Both employees are working at the residence of an investment guru who operates from home via computer. Pearl Ann is initially delighted with what he has done with the small amount of money she entrusted to him for investment, until later when she discovers the truth about his actions.

Mavity's sudden disappearance leaves everyone perplexed as to the reason and her whereabouts. The entire town searches for her until a woman is finally found unconscious in the back seat of her car, which has apparently collided with a lamp post. Mavity's most severe injury is from a screwdriver attack, not the car accident, and she has temporarily lost her memory. She is rushed to the hospital where she is quickly identified. Subsequently, Wilma takes Mavity into her home to assist her in regaining her memory. Dulcie offers comfort to Mavity and also gathers valuable clues.

Mavity's brother Greely is in town for a visit. He has rented a store room as it was the only available place he could find to rent and get drunk. He has an all-black cat named Azrael who is malevolent. Azrael and the other cats do not get along and engage in several fierce fights. Azrael is also sentient and cruel, deriving pleasure from scaring Dulcie. He even attempts to attack Mavity, but Dulcie intervenes, and they engage in a battle until he flees.

One significant action that propels the story forward is taken by the investor. He has doubts about Pearl Ann. Through Dulcie and Joe Grey, we learn that Pearl Ann entered his home with the key she had for cleaning purposes and spent numerous hours on his computer. Supposedly, he leaves his home for a short trip, but he hides his car a few blocks away and quietly returns home to find Pearl Ann working on his computer. What transpires next is rather unpleasant!

When we finally reach the conclusion where humans and cats gather for a picnic, we once again explore the theme of family ties and how family members interact with each other and with outsiders. A few humans depart from Molena Point with the possibility of returning one day. Molena Point is left in a better state as a result.

It keeps you on the edge of your seat, and yet, it's not too predictable. You find yourself constantly guessing and trying to figure out what's going to happen next. The author has done a great job of creating a complex and engaging plot that combines elements of mystery, adventure, and a touch of humor. The characters are well-developed and likable, making it easy to become invested in their stories. Overall, this book is a must-read for anyone who loves a good mystery or enjoys stories about animals.
