The plot of this story seems a bit more scattered than what is typical. There is an abundance of content regarding death and the hereafter, which gives it a rather mysterious and somewhat somber tone. Additionally, there is a lot of emphasis on family and friends in Molena Point, adding a touch of warmth and familiarity to the overall narrative. However, at this stage, Kit comes across as a little too emotional and crazy for my liking. I find myself wishing that the book would have placed more focus on Joe and his more straightforward sleuthing. It feels as if the author is gradually leading us back around to the Catswold Portal, perhaps hinting at something more significant to come. Overall, while the story has its interesting aspects, the scattered plot and Kit's excessive emotions make it a bit of a mixed bag for me. I'm curious to see how the author will tie everything together and what lies ahead in the Catswold Portal.
