A small writer presented a summary of the book "The Old and New World Order", in which Chomsky discussed the terrifying imperial policy of the United States, based on a number of important examples, whether in the Middle East or Southeast Asia or the Americas.

Finally, Chomsky turned to giving a vision of the future of American policy, centered on the role of the media, the economy, and the policy of covert interference, far from the traditional direct interventions.

Chomsky's analysis provides a valuable perspective on the complex and often controversial world of international relations. By examining the historical and contemporary actions of the United States, he highlights the ways in which power and influence are exerted on a global scale.

His emphasis on the role of the media and the economy in shaping policy is particularly relevant in today's interconnected world. Understanding these dynamics can help us better understand the forces that drive international events and make more informed decisions about our own actions and policies.

Reading this book is an essential part of what I term "waking myself up." It is by no means a pleasure read, yet it is undeniably necessary. I had an inkling that such things were transpiring, but the mainstream media has kept us in the dark. This book has opened my eyes to a whole new world of information and perspectives that I was previously unaware of. It has made me realize the importance of seeking out alternative sources of information and not simply relying on what the mainstream media presents. Through reading this book, I have become more informed and empowered, and I am now better able to make my own decisions and form my own opinions. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning the truth and waking up to the realities of the world we live in.

The beauty in the book lies in not focusing on the appearance in the calculation of the American state. Instead, it is based on solid scientific descriptions rather than empty slogans. The American government has calculated for itself. It began by describing the (true) American goals of foreign policy and how the government tried and will continue to try to keep the countries of the world under its hegemony, especially the third world countries whose democracy it combats. For democracy - in the view of the capitalists - has unpredictable consequences. From this came the invasions of Panama and Nicaragua. So, foreign policy is not based on humanistic principles as we are led to believe, but rather it means the subjugation of peoples.

And since the American people are by nature lovers of freedom, it was instilled in them that they fled from the tyranny of the European world to build the "new world" or the "new holy land". So the government, in collusion with the people, had to convince the people by all means that it was on the path of "spreading freedom" while the reality was completely the opposite. The first pretext was the communist threat, then the war on drugs, and so on.

The author put forward a solution to this problem by saying that the people should speak out and put pressure on the tyrannical regime in America, which is run by capitalists who have no regard for anyone's humanity.

In my opinion, the author was influenced by the media hype in improving the image of America as a government... There is still a feeling that the government is good but there are some mistakes. This became evident when the author put forward the solution at the end of the book... The solution to this corrupt political elite is to cut off its ties and then kill it in its infancy and build a completely different new government............................ And since we are in the American election period, I will quote the statement of the American candidate Sanders, "The one who wins the elections must be rich and acceptable to the big capitalists."

The book is considered a window to the truth, far away from the media propaganda. It reveals all the terms that the media fills day and night about democracy, human rights and freedom of speech in America.

Although it is small in size, it provides a more than wonderful analysis of the foreign policy of the United States, and peels off the media face that it is a defender of democracies in the world, and shows its true face through the evidence presented on how the American policy approaches the countries that want true independence.

I can say - through this book - that the United States of America is a leader in military coups in the world.

The author - who is rich in knowledge - points out that the American policy will oppose - with firmness and perseverance - democracy if its results are outside the scope of its control.

It allies with the military within the country, and therefore they can be relied upon to crush any national groups that slip out of its grasp!!

The book is truly worthy of being read, in order to lift the haze and ambiguity that prevails in those days due to various reasons.

What Does Uncle Sam Want? is a book by the world-renowned scholar Noam Chomsky. He is well-known for his positions supporting Islam, Muslims, and human rights. Despite being Jewish, he is one of the most prominent supporters of the Palestinian cause. In addition, Chomsky has a distinguished academic position. He has been considered the third greatest living personality and the third most-cited source in academic literature.

In this book, "What Does Uncle Sam Want?", Chomsky explains the foreign policy of the United States in the period following World War II and the emergence of the United States as a major power in the world. He also touches on his views on US policy that claims to support democracy and human rights. He asks, "Is this really what is happening? Is the United States truly a supporter of human rights and democracy?" The answer, of course, is no. According to research he mentions (from the Royal Institute of International Affairs in the UK), the conclusion is that while the United States provides lip service to human rights and democracy (in a formal sense), its actual and practical commitment is in line with its own interests. If the interests of the United States and its corporations conflict with democracy and human rights, then democracy must give way and a dictatorial and authoritarian system can replace it.

Chomsky mentions many events where the United States failed to promote a democratic system in a country because it conflicted with its interests. Instead, it supported dictatorial regimes, as in Central America, Iraq, and many other countries where it allied with and supported military governments because these governments protected US interests. They were seen as better allies against any development projects in these countries outside the control of the United States. Because if any country succeeds in achieving its development project (as happened in Grenada), it means that other countries can also carry out their development projects without the need for the United States, which is like an invasion that will spread among all other countries that seek to achieve development in their countries.

(Chomsky explains this in detail in his book "What Does Uncle Sam Want?")

A small but dense book that explains Chomsky's view on the foreign policy goals of the United States, providing several stories and examples to support his perspective. Since the book dates back to the 1990s, most of the examples are from Central American countries (Nicaragua, Guatemala, Cuba, etc.).

In short, American foreign policy is based on the principle of current and future American interests and what is "expected". Anything that conforms to this principle is supported (even if it is a dictator), and anything that goes against it is opposed (even if it is a just country). And anything that can pose a relatively dangerous threat to its interests, it will take action to eliminate it (through real democratic means, fair distribution of wealth among the people, national thinking, etc.). From this, the United States began to control the world's energy sources, major sea lanes, and undermine any potential democracy (such as Nicaragua and Chile). American control has evolved over time from direct military intervention to proxy wars to international organizations that implement policies of blockade and starvation (such as the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the UN Security Council where it has the right of veto).

Chomsky also gives us an idea about American society, where there is a symbiotic alliance between policymakers and the media to brainwash the general public (the masses, the herd = the majority of the American people) and form what is known as consensus, even if it is based on falsehoods.

The second part is written by the translator (teacher Adel) who took advantage of Chomsky's name to attach what he writes to what he translates! It wasn't a bad part in all respects....

I was a keen follower of the news during my childhood in the 1990s, and I witnessed the brutality of this world and the harshness of its system under the management of the United States, the closest ally of Israel.

I passionately followed the events in Palestine, Iraq, Bosnia, Herzegovina, and other news that I was able to follow. However, the secrets of this system were revealed over the following years.

But the overall summary picture of this fascist global administration was not clearly and vividly revealed to me with a strong impact until through my reading of this book.

Chomsky briefly and clearly explains three main topics in this book.

First: How the United States manages the global system by following the principle of force and subjugating the whole world to its capitalist policy that aims at the interests of a minority of businessmen and the interests of Israel. And its adoption of a policy of terrorism against anyone who opposes this policy.

He gives many examples of this terrorism against every country that tried to break free from this grip or follow any other opposing policy, even if it was just a lesson for anyone who considers.

Of course, these examples are not hidden from anyone as they are many and clear, such as the Central American countries like Nicaragua, Panama, Haiti, Venezuela, El Salvador, and others. And there is the Vietnam War in Asia that is difficult to define. And the Iraq War and its support for a large number of wars in an indirect way for the same reasons.

Second: Chomsky shows how the United States supports dictatorial governments, especially in the countries of the Third World, and how it dared to carry out revolutions and uprisings in many countries of the world to be able to lay the foundations of a system that will be subservient to it for a long period of its service. And these examples are endless and still exist in most countries of the world to this day.

Third: Chomsky shows in a satirical and humorous way the violations of the United States of all the values that it preaches and invokes to interfere in the affairs of other countries, such as human rights, minorities, the principles of globalization, freedom of trade, freedom of opinion and expression, and he gives many examples of them.

The book is a powerful dose for realizing the absurdity of this world and can be a shock even if you had previous knowledge of all these things.

The book must be read continuously so that we do not forget the affairs of this world because we are an inseparable part of it.

For a perfect person, he is amused and ridiculed by all that pertains to the silly conspiracy theories and taking them as justified by the weak peoples to defend their failure and defeat with satisfaction and conviction; this book was really shocking..

Of course, I know that the United States of America is not - and has not always been - to this extent of the perfection that it claims, but I did not expect that the evil would be to this extent that Chomsky presented. I will need in the coming period to intensify the reading in the history of this United States to see where it leads us..

This is an important book and worthy of reading, except for the part of the translator that I did not finish and I don't know why I abandoned it along with Chomsky's book.

A small book, but its merit lies in that it gathers pictures of the follies of the United States in terms of its capabilities towards the peoples and the overthrow of their systems and its support for revolutions and its endorsement of dictatorial rulers as long as this serves its interests. And if a country thought, even if it was not shown on the map, that it would deviate from the path that America approves, then the American interference would be quick so that the epidemic of independence and the germs of freedom would not spread from it to other countries!

And how many times has America supported a dictator as if he were its own creation, and when he burned out, it replaced him with another... And how many times has America turned a blind eye to the crimes that are inscribed on its forehead as long as this led to the stability of the systems allied with it.

The book also refers to the role of the media in shaping public opinion and guiding minds.

The second half of the book is written by the fair teacher who translated the book... and it presents excerpts attributed to American politicians and presidents that fall into the same path... The abridged

It goes without saying that the book, which was written years ago - perhaps even before the occupation of Iraq - its events apply to what has happened and is happening in our country since the revolution began and the American tried to contain it after Mubarak became a burned card... until we reach these days in which massacres are taking place with intermittent reactions from America.

We have approximately 50% of the world's wealth but only 6.3% of its population..... Our real task in the coming period is to order a model for relations that preserves the continuation of this disparity.. Mr. Sam wants a global system that submits to the economic requirements of the United States.

Yes, it cheats internally and destroys those who step out of line externally. It maintains the subjugation of those who fall within the "great field".. and the end justifies the means..

I don't think there is anyone in the Arab region who doesn't believe - even if they don't declare it - in the aggression and tyranny of America. Perhaps many of us are ignorant of the details and don't know the facts. The book contains painful examples and models.

The book poses a specific question and answers it. But focusing on this question makes the book closer to Dr.'s condemnation of American policies only.

And with the author's bombardment of information and the force of Professor Chomsky's opinions, there is no harm in the desire to expand the discussion to include:

- Are there elements in the American economy that allow it to endure without this policy?

- In a world divided between dominant countries or authoritarian governments that seek the protection of the dominators or fight and suppress them, is there a place outside these categories for countries with moderate foreign policies and a sustainable economic system?

Another book club selection from our son, and I am truly thankful to have read it.

This particular book offers a perspective on American politics that I had never heard about before. As I delved into Chomsky's claims, there was a great deal of research on the side that I had to do.

I have always had a passion for studying history, and it seems that there are indeed some truths revealed in this book that are not widely understood.

The verses from Romans 3:10 - 12 come to mind: "None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one."

These words serve as a reminder that we all fall short and are in need of Jesus, the Savior of the world. He is the one who can bring us back to righteousness and show us the way to true understanding and goodness.

Reading this book and reflecting on these scriptures has deepened my appreciation for the importance of seeking God's truth in all aspects of life, including politics and history.

I went through this quickly.

I think that is a very helpful read if one desires to understand the current world situation.

In a country like the USA that has been so ready and quick to kill others, it seems rather surprising.

They don't seem to understand how they are perceived by others in the world, and that others might want to do the same to them.

Chomsky's understanding is greater than most. He delves deep into the complex web of international relations and power dynamics.

His analysis helps us see beyond the surface and understand the true motives and consequences of a nation's actions.

By reading his works, we can gain a more comprehensive and nuanced view of the world, and perhaps be better equipped to make sense of the chaos and confusion that often surrounds us.

It is essential that we strive to understand the world from different perspectives, and Chomsky's insights offer us a valuable starting point.
