Many of these poems had a visceral, captivating message contained within. They had the power to touch the reader's emotions and draw them in. However, a few of them unfortunately fell apart before they could truly grip the reader.

Jim Morrison, on the other hand, stands as a music legend. His influence in the world of music is undeniable. Truly, his writing should also hold high status. His words had a certain charm and depth that could have made his poetry just as remarkable as his music.

Perhaps if more attention had been given to the structure and editing of some of the poems, they would have had a greater impact. But even with their flaws, they still offer a glimpse into the creative mind of the poet. And in the case of Jim Morrison, his writing is an important part of his overall artistic legacy.

It is important to remember that not every piece of writing will be perfect, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have value. We should strive to appreciate the unique qualities of each work and look beyond its flaws to see the beauty and truth that lies within.

Delving into the mind of a person or presence like that of Jim Morrison is truly a privilege. It offers a unique glimpse into a world of creativity and complexity. I only wish more artists and writers would have the courage and boldness to do the same. This particular piece is one of my personal favorites. It seems to capture a certain essence that is both captivating and mysterious.

I am troubled, immeasurably, by your eyes. They hold a depth and intensity that is hard to ignore. It's as if they are trying to convey something profound, yet remain just out of reach.

I am struck by the feather of your soft reply. It is gentle and light, yet it has the power to make an impact. The sound of glass speaks quick disdain, perhaps masking what your eyes are fighting to explain. There is an air of mystery and enigma surrounding you, and I find myself drawn in, eager to uncover the secrets that lie within.

Gorgeous,

inspiring,

filled with the beauty of destruction and creation.

Limitless.

These words perfectly describe a recent experience that has become a milestone in my life.

It was a journey that took me to places I had never been before, both physically and emotionally.

I witnessed the power of nature as it unleashed its fury, destroying everything in its path.

But in the midst of the chaos, I also saw the beauty of creation as new life began to emerge.

It was a humbling and awe-inspiring experience that made me realize the limitless potential of the world around us.

This milestone has changed me forever, and I will always look back on it with a sense of wonder and gratitude.

Some truly intriguing work has been presented. However, when Jim's words are paired with the music of The Doors, they seem to hold an even more powerful allure for me. There is something about the combination of his lyrics and the unique soundscapes created by the band that just clicks. It's a fascinating synergy that draws you in and keeps you engaged. The way the words blend with the music creates a mood and atmosphere that is both captivating and unforgettable. It makes for a quick and interesting read, or rather, listen. You can't help but be drawn into the world that Jim and The Doors have created, and it leaves you with a sense of wonder and a desire to explore more.

It is truly remarkable to see the evolution of his work and the thoughtfulness that went into each piece. One can't help but be impressed by his dedication and passion for the craft. It's as if he poured his heart and soul into every word, creating a body of work that is both profound and engaging.

His attention to detail and his ability to capture the essence of human emotions and experiences is what sets him apart. Through his writings, he invites readers into a world that is rich in history, culture, and complexity. It's a world that challenges our perspectives and forces us to think deeply about the human condition.

Thats all I can really say about this collection. It's a must-read for anyone who appreciates great literature and wants to explore the mind of a master storyteller. Morrison's work will continue to inspire and influence generations to come.

You're too young to be old.

This statement holds a certain truth. At a young age, one is supposed to be full of vitality, curiosity, and a willingness to explore the world.

You don't need to be told.

Young people often have their own instincts and intuitions. They prefer to figure things out for themselves rather than blindly following the advice of others.

You want to see things as they are.

This is a noble and refreshing attitude. It shows an eagerness to understand the real nature of things, without being clouded by preconceived notions or biases.

You know exactly what I do.

Perhaps there is a special connection or understanding between you and the speaker. You are able to perceive and comprehend the actions and intentions of the other person with remarkable clarity.

Everything.

This simple word encompasses a vast range of knowledge and awareness. It implies that you have a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the situation or the person.

In conclusion, these lines paint a vivid picture of a young person who is independent, perceptive, and eager to see the world as it truly is.

3.5!

I discovered this collection in a second-hand bookstore and perused it during a flight back to Vancouver. Initially, I intended to award it 4 stars. However, I felt that would be a rather generous score considering it was mainly due to my affection for The Doors' music.

As a poetry collection, it is good, yet not outstanding. It is understandable that these were overlooked writings that Morrison chose not to publish himself but were instead unearthed by friends who possessed his notebook collections. Some of the writing is truly brilliant and poignant, while some of it is perplexing and difficult to fathom. The aspects I relished the most were when I came across snippets of lyrics, song titles, or other allusions to Morrison's musical career.

The poetry itself is interesting enough. I am more acquainted with poets who have a tight grip on rhythm, meter, and rhyme scheme, such as Maya Angelou, Sylvia Plath, and Mary Oliver. These poems are entirely different and still don't quite approach the beat poetry of someone like Bukowski. This departure from the poets I have read makes the collection refreshing. Morrison is either deriving his inspiration from a poet I haven't yet encountered or making up his own rules entirely.

To me, this is a collection that should be read by an ardent fan of The Doors or Jim Morrison. It aids in painting a picture of his more personal writings and thoughts. Otherwise, it would be advisable to read the poetry collection he published during his lifetime.

While flipping through the pages of Wilderness at a local bookstore, I came across these remarkable lines.

“I am troubled, immeasurably by your eyes. I am struck by the feather of your soft reply. The sound of glass speaks quick, disdain and conceals what your eyes fight to explain.”

Morrison is truly an amazing poet. She is not just a poet; she is a legend, a rascal, and a prophet all rolled into one. Her words have the power to touch the deepest recesses of our souls and make us see the world in a whole new light.

These lines from Wilderness are a testament to her genius. They are filled with such depth and emotion that they leave us breathless. The way she describes the power of someone's eyes and the softness of their reply is simply beautiful.

Morrison's work is a must-read for anyone who loves poetry and wants to experience the power of words.

"Un peu maboul le Jimmy" can be translated as "Jimmy is a bit crazy." Here is an expanded version of the article:

Jimmy is a rather unique individual.

He has a reputation for being a bit crazy, but in a charming and endearing way.

His actions and ideas often catch people off guard, and he doesn't seem to care about what others think.

Jimmy lives life on his own terms, following his instincts and doing whatever makes him happy.

Sometimes his craziness leads to hilarious situations, while other times it can be a bit concerning.

But despite it all, people can't help but be drawn to his infectious energy and zest for life.

Whether he's pulling a prank or coming up with a wild new plan, Jimmy always manages to keep things interesting.

Love him or hate him, there's no denying that Jimmy is one of a kind.

I can only find myself reaching for this book when I'm in a really low spot. But my god, does it lift me out of that quickly. I've read this book about three times, and each time I sit and read it all the way through. Jim Morrison plays with words and ideas so masterfully. It feels like he really gets me. It feels like he speaks words only I understand. It's just such a beautiful collection and I have so much love for it.

However, I knocked off a star because I only reach for it when I'm in the mood to. It's certainly not an all the time read for me. There are times when I'm in a different frame of mind and this book just doesn't call to me. But when I'm feeling down and need something to inspire me, this book is always there. It's like a trusted friend that I can turn to when I need a pick-me-up. The words seem to flow off the page and into my soul, lifting my spirits and making me feel better about myself and the world around me.

Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for something to read when they're feeling down. It's not a book that you'll want to read all the time, but it's definitely one that you'll cherish when you do. Jim Morrison's words are truly magical and this collection is a must-have for any fan of his work.

I felt an incredibly strong connection to this particular volume of poems penned by Jim. In contrast to the other volumes that I have perused, which often left me in a state of confusion and befuddlement, this one stood out显著地. It contained pieces that were remarkably understandable, allowing me to clearly envision and comprehend precisely what he was attempting to convey. Each word seemed to resonate with me on a deep level, as if Jim was speaking directly to my soul. I am truly happy that I made the commitment to read all of these poems. It has been a journey of self-discovery and enlightenment, and I look forward to delving further into the world of poetry that Jim has opened up for me.

I purchased this volume of Jim Morrison's poetry at Starrlight Books, an outstanding shop located in Flagstaff, Arizona. Ever since I first began listening to the Doors back in the 80s during my high school days, I have been utterly fascinated with Morrison. This collection is truly wonderful and, in my view, surpasses his writings with that band by a significant margin. I am extremely glad to have come across it and will surely place it among my other cherished books.

A few days later, I read this volume cover to cover during my plane ride home. Some of my recent reading choices had failed to capture my interest, and I had even resorted to skimming through certain parts. However, that was not the case with this work. I devoured every single word of each poem, often flipping back a few pages to reread one that had left a lasting impression in my mind. I jotted down a quick note, stating that he was not like most modern poets I had read. Morrison reminded me more of the 18th and 19th century poets. Perhaps this is due to the fact that most of what I read nowadays belongs to that era, but I also believe it is because he drew a great deal of inspiration from poets of that time, such as Blake and Rimbaud.

While every line in this collection resonated with me, there were a few that truly stood out. Echoing the second generation of Romantics like Shelley and Keats, Morrison writes: “Shrill demented sparrows bark / The sun into being. They rule / dawn’s Kingdom” (p. 35). In a poignant commentary on social relationships, he says:
Actors must make us think
they’re real
Our friends must not
make us think we’re acting
(p. 117)
Reminding me of my own youth, when we didn't have 24-hour radio or online streaming, he writes: “When radio dark night existed / & assumed control, & we rocked in its web / consumed by static, & stroked with fear / we were drawn down long from / a deep sleep” (p. 135). Finally, from his poem “As I Look Back” (p. 201):
As I look back
over my life
I am struck by post
cards
Ruined Snap shots

faded posters
Of a time, I can’t recall
