Bath books are a wonderful addition to any bath time routine.

They are designed to be waterproof, allowing you to enjoy reading while relaxing in the tub.

The double special feature of these bath books makes them even more appealing.

Not only do they provide entertainment, but they also come with additional benefits.

For example, some bath books are educational, teaching children about different topics such as animals, colors, or numbers.

Others may have interactive elements like pop-ups or flaps that make the reading experience more engaging.

With a bath book in hand, you can turn your ordinary bath time into a fun and enriching activity.

So, the next time you're taking a soak, don't forget to grab a bath book and make the most of your relaxation time.

A wonderful little story about where a wealthy "gentleman's" greed can lead is told in a delightfully humorous way. It's truly a captivating piece. This is the first thing I've ever read by Nobel Prize winner (1934) Luigi Pirandello, and it serves as a great introduction to his writings. Through this story, I've been able to catch a glimpse of his unique style and talent. The way he weaves the tale with such wit and charm is truly remarkable.

I'm now eager to look for more translations of his work. I want to explore further into the world of Luigi Pirandello and discover the many other wonderful stories he has to offer. It's a pity that I can't read the Italian originals, as I'm sure they would be even more enchanting. However, I'm grateful for the translations that allow me to experience his works in English.

I'm excited to see what other literary gems I'll uncover as I continue my exploration of Luigi Pirandello's writings. I have a feeling that there are many more delightful surprises waiting for me.

There are some truly wonderful stories in this collection. Pirandello shows great skill in closing some of his tales with an unexpected twist, which is often the characteristic feature of a memorable short story. Just like in O. Henry's stories, these twists add an element of surprise and make the reader think.

"Lemons from Sicily" was a beautiful story, as were "The Little Hut" and "Mr. Frola and Mrs. Ponza". The title story, "The Oil Jar", was also enjoyable, although not quite as good as the best ones in the collection.

At times, our author delves into musings about reality and unreality. These thoughts might seem a bit outdated, similar to how a hippie newspaper from the 60s might read. However, we must remember that this was the era in which he wrote.

Overall, this is a very satisfying book that offers a diverse range of stories and thought-provoking ideas. It is a great addition to any literature lover's collection.

A broken earthenware pot that represents the crossroads between the artisan Uncle Dima Licasi and the overbearing merchant Don Lollò Zirafa allows us to appreciate a story that, through humor and the unexpected, reveals the apathy and the spirit of exploitation represented in Don Lolló, an implacable character who justifies his actions based on personal gain, regardless of the situation he is presented with.

The story unfolds with comical scenes that ridicule apathy and exploitation. Perhaps it is an attempt at a humorous take on the values and principles that are part of our societies, and which have visibly taken center stage in the way some relationships are understood today, whether in the human sphere or in accordance with other types of existences.

This simple yet engaging tale serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining a sense of fairness and empathy in our interactions. It also highlights the need to question the motives and actions of those who prioritize personal gain above all else. Through its lighthearted approach, it manages to convey a deeper message about the state of our society and the values that we uphold or neglect.

I only read "The Jar." This short story intrigued me from the very beginning. The simple title, "The Jar," immediately made me wonder what it could be about. As I delved into the text, I was drawn into a world of mystery and curiosity. The author's vivid descriptions painted a clear picture in my mind, allowing me to visualize the characters and the setting with ease.

The story's plot was engaging, filled with unexpected twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. I found myself completely invested in the outcome, eager to discover what would happen next. The characters were well-developed, each with their own unique personalities and motives. Their interactions added depth and complexity to the story, making it even more captivating.

Overall, "The Jar" was a captivating read that left a lasting impression on me. It made me think, it made me feel, and it entertained me from start to finish. I would highly recommend this story to anyone looking for a quick and engaging read that will leave them with something to ponder.

One of the stories is "Citrons from Sicily". Micuccio pays for Teresina to become a beautiful singer, but it turns out she is a call girl.

Another story is "With other eyes". Two women are married to the same man. One woman in a portrait is dead with sad features, and the other woman, who is alive, has the same sad features as the dead woman's picture. Was it because of the husband that they were so sad?

There is also a story about a blind man who falls in love with his female caretaker. He thinks she is beautiful, but she is not. He is rich and wants his money. When the operation goes well, she cannot stay and leaves him searching for the lips he kissed.

The "Oil Jar" is another story. Don Lollo buys an oil jar for his olive oil. It is broken, and he hires Uncle Dima to fix it. However, Uncle Dima needs to get inside the jar, and now he can't get out because to get him out, they need to break the jar. It's all about who will pay for the broken jar.

Finally, there is the story of Perazzetti, who acts like a lunatic. At the end, he states that he married just to avoid getting married. These are not the greatest of short stories.
