Luigi Pirandello; Agrigento (28 June 1867 – Rome 10 December 1936) was an Italian dramatist, novelist, poet, and short story writer whose greatest contributions were his plays.
He was awarded the 1934 Nobel Prize in Literature for "his almost magical power to turn psychological analysis into good theatre.
Pirandello's works include novels, hundreds of short stories, and about 40 plays, some of which are written in Sicilian. Pirandello's tragic farces are often seen as forerunners of the Theatre of the Absurd.

I initially thought that I had missed a couple of pages because it felt like there was a page missing when I started reading it. The plot is different, and it is written in a rather interesting way. However, despite having so few pages, it is somewhat slow-paced. But at the same time, it is a charming book.

It has a unique charm that keeps you engaged throughout. The characters are well-developed, and the story takes you on an unexpected journey.

Even though it may not be the fastest-paced read, it makes up for it with its charm and interesting plot twists.

Overall, it is a book that is worth reading, especially if you are looking for something a little different.

In a final story about a craftsman and a hysterical landowner who is always eager to sue everything and everyone at any time.

There comes a moment 22 that has a rather easy solution, one could say.

I like the story.

The craftsman in the story is a hardworking and skilled individual. He goes about his work with dedication and precision. However, the hysterical landowner seems to have nothing better to do than find fault and start lawsuits. This creates a rather tense and comical situation.

The moment 22, as described, brings a bit of relief. It's as if a light shines through the darkness, offering a simple way out of the chaos. Maybe it's a moment of clarity for the landowner or a stroke of luck for the craftsman.

Overall, this story has a certain charm. It makes me think about how different people can be and how their actions can lead to unexpected outcomes. It also shows that even in the most difficult situations, there can be a glimmer of hope.

It took me almost 3 months to read this book. The language was quite complex for my level of Italian.

Moreover, strange metaphysical things can happen in the stories, which really intrigued me.

Another interesting aspect was that I had to get used to seeing words with the letter "i" turned to the letter "j", which I later found out was a Sicilian thing.

Among all the stories, the one that stood out as my favorite was the one where the woman, who was locked up with her children, re-enacted entire operas all by herself. This way, her children could experience the beauty and grandeur of the operas.

It was a touching and creative way for her to bring a bit of culture and entertainment into their confined lives.

I really enjoyed this story and it made me appreciate the power of imagination and the lengths people will go to for the sake of their loved ones.

Overall, despite the challenges of the language, I found this book to be a fascinating and rewarding read.

This short story, which is the first one I have read by him, is a charming little gem that showcases clear literary qualities.

The story is filled with vivid descriptions and engaging characters that draw the reader in from the very beginning.

Pirandello's writing style is unique and captivating, making it a pleasure to read.

I was truly impressed by this novella and it has definitely piqued my interest in reading more of his works.

A funny story that seems simple but well reflects the traditions of Italy and the Italian carnival.

And the character who embodies all these customs is Zi' Dima (Uncle Dima) :D. In Italy, the carnival is a time of great celebration and merriment. People come together to enjoy the festive atmosphere, wearing colorful masks and costumes. Zi' Dima is a beloved figure in the community, known for his enthusiasm and love for the carnival traditions. He always participates in the parades, dancing and singing with joy. His presence brings a sense of warmth and authenticity to the event. Through his actions and interactions with others, we can see the importance of these traditions in Italian culture. They are not just about having fun, but also about bringing people together and preserving the heritage of the country.

The story of Zi' Dima and the Italian carnival is a charming one that offers a glimpse into the rich and vibrant culture of Italy.
