These books are really cool when it comes to serving as an introduction to Wittgenstein's concepts of language games and family relations. They offer valuable insights and present the ideas in an accessible way.

However, at times, it did feel a little baggy. The text would alternate between different examples of language games, and these examples didn't always seem to have a clear connection to each other. This lack of cohesion made it a bit challenging to follow the overall flow of the argument and fully grasp the significance of each example in relation to the broader concepts.

Despite this minor drawback, the books still manage to convey the essence of Wittgenstein's ideas and are a great starting point for anyone interested in exploring his philosophy of language. With a bit more work on structuring the examples and showing their interrelationships, these books could be even more effective in presenting Wittgenstein's complex and fascinating concepts.

Great stuff indeed! Wittgenstein, in this work, is persistently chipping away at language. He does this with great precision and determination, time and time again, in order to convey his profound intentions. His insights are truly fantastic, offering a unique perspective on the nature of language and its role in our understanding of the world. It serves as a great setup for his later work, Philosophical Investigations. Here, he is laying the groundwork, exploring the nuances and complexities of language, and challenging our assumptions. It is a remarkable piece of philosophical writing that continues to inspire and influence scholars and thinkers today.

The Blue and Brown books are indeed an intriguing addition to Wittgenstein's philosophy. They provide a valuable look into the initial drafts of the Philosophical Investigations.

The Blue Book is remarkable in that it consists of one extremely long essay, not divided into distinct chapters. It contains some excellent discussions on solipsism, statements such as "I know I'm in pain", and how certain problems are more grammatical in nature than anything else. Wittgenstein offers a brilliant analysis of Saint Augustine's questions about time.

The Brown Book is equally interesting. Wittgenstein challenges some commonly held views regarding the nature of mental states and appears to be starting to introduce the ideas underlying the private language argument. He expends a great deal of effort analyzing the grammar of words. The description of language-games and use as meaning is nearly identical to that found in the Investigations. He further elaborates on some of the ideas from the Blue Book, such as how we can be misled by language, especially when we adopt analogies and then attempt to follow them too closely, as in his example of time being like a river.

These books offer a unique perspective on Wittgenstein's evolving philosophical thought and are well worth studying for anyone interested in his work.

I have only read the Blue Book, but it is brilliant. It is incomprehensible, but brilliant.

The ideas presented in the Blue Book are so profound and complex that they require a great deal of effort to understand. However, once you start to grasp the concepts, you realize just how brilliant the book is.

Update 26-11-2019: I have now also read the Brown Book. My opinion has not changed. The Brown Book is also a very good book, but it does not have the same level of brilliance as the Blue Book.

Nevertheless, both books are worth reading and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in the subject matter.

Gonna be honest,

I had a really tough time getting through this one. It was quite a challenge to understand all the concepts and ideas presented in the text. However, I would highly recommend checking out the Spark Notes [https://www.sparknotes.com/philosophy...] as a supplemental reading after finishing the text.

The Spark Notes can provide additional explanations, summaries, and analysis that can help clarify any confusing points. They offer a different perspective and can enhance your understanding of the material. By referring to the Spark Notes, you can gain a more comprehensive understanding of the text and its significance. It's always beneficial to have multiple resources when studying a complex subject like philosophy. So, don't hesitate to give the Spark Notes a try and see how they can help you in your learning journey.

This text consists of annotations made by a student of Wittgenstein's classes.

Therefore, the information is not organized and may sometimes seem unclear. Like many philosophical texts, it requires several rereadings to understand everything it contains.

Really, I don't know if anyone has previously raised what Wittgenstein proposed, but what he suggests is simply brilliant: many philosophical disagreements occur due to wrongly formulated questions.

Obviously, the text develops which questions would be bad questions and why; it is the task of those who want to know more to read the text.

Perhaps by carefully analyzing these annotations and reflecting on Wittgenstein's ideas, we can gain a deeper understanding of the nature of philosophical inquiries and how to avoid some of the pitfalls that lead to fruitless disputes.

It is also interesting to note that the lack of organization in the student's annotations may mirror the complexity and fluidity of Wittgenstein's own thinking, which often resisted easy categorization and systematization.

Overall, this text serves as a valuable starting point for further exploration and discussion of Wittgenstein's philosophical contributions.

Still cracking the damn code.

It feels like an endless battle, trying to make sense of this complex jumble of numbers and symbols. Every time I think I'm close to a breakthrough, something new pops up and throws me off track.

The frustration is palpable, but I refuse to give up. I know that once I crack this code, it will open up a whole new world of possibilities.

I sit here, hunched over my desk, my eyes straining from staring at the screen for hours on end. My fingers dance across the keyboard, typing in different combinations, hoping that one of them will be the right one.

Despite the difficulties, there is a strange sense of satisfaction in this process. It's like solving a puzzle, and the closer I get to the solution, the more excited I become.

So, I continue to crack the damn code, determined to overcome this challenge and achieve my goal.

I just don't get what is so insightful here.

For someone who criticizes philosophers for going on and on making meaningless statements, Wittgenstein says a lot without saying much at all.

His words seem to dance around the subject, never quite landing on a clear and definite point.

It's as if he is playing a game of hide and seek with the truth, making it difficult for the reader to truly understand his intentions.

Perhaps this is part of his genius, that he can convey complex ideas in such a cryptic and ambiguous way.

But for those of us who are looking for straightforward answers and clear explanations, his writing can be frustrating and confusing.

Overall, while Wittgenstein may have had some interesting things to say, his style of communication leaves much to be desired.

We tend to say that when we communicate a sensation to someone, at the other end something happens that we will never be able to know.

For example, when we describe the taste of a delicious dish to a friend, the friend may understand the words we use, but the actual experience of tasting that dish is unique to us.

All that we can receive from the other person in return is again an expression. They may respond with words like "That sounds amazing" or "I can't wait to try it," but these are just their way of expressing their understanding or interest.

The true essence of the sensation we tried to communicate remains within us and is impossible to fully transfer to another.

This shows the limitations of communication when it comes to sharing subjective experiences.

The original article is not provided, so I can't rewrite and expand it specifically. However, I can give you a general example of how to expand an article.

Let's say the original article is: "The dog ran in the park. It was a beautiful day."

Expanded version:

The lively dog joyfully ran in the spacious park. The sun was shining brightly, and the sky was a clear blue. It was truly a beautiful day, with the gentle breeze caressing the leaves of the trees. The dog seemed to be enjoying every moment, its tail wagging excitedly. People were also out in the park, some walking, some jogging, and some just sitting and enjoying the scenery. The park was filled with a sense of peace and happiness.

If you can provide the original article, I will be able to rewrite and expand it more accurately according to your requirements.
