Riding the bullet is a well-known ghost story with a twist.

Although I wouldn't say the book is bad in any way, it must be pointed out that it's not outstanding either. The narrative is well-written and doesn't cause boredom. The pace is set in such a way that it keeps you entertained. Overall, the style of the book is good and it doesn't disappoint in delivering an engaging experience.

The characters lack depth due to the brevity of the story, but all the necessary dimensions for the story are present and can be enjoyed.

I believe the biggest flaw is the horror it attempts to convey on a psychological level, which is easily excused by human nature. The character fails to properly deliver this sensation, and you can only feel it as a result of his own thoughts.

All in all, it's a good read, but only if you don't have anything else that you truly want to read. It's a decent choice for passing the time, but it doesn't quite reach the level of a truly great horror story.

With great pain, I say that King has disappointed me (somewhat) with this story. It tells of the good and bad moments that Alan Parker has passed with his mother before going to high school. After receiving a call saying that she has had a stroke, it makes him think a lot. To this is added King's supernatural phenomenon, but it is not fully exploited. It makes many detours and is not enjoyable (in my opinion). I think there are better stories and let's see how it goes.

There was a place that became very scary and yet it was quite good.

Expanded: It was truly quite interesting. There was this particular place that initially seemed rather ordinary, but then it suddenly became very scary. However, upon further exploration, there were also aspects of it that were quite good. I couldn't help but think that the whole experience should have had a better ending. It felt a bit incomplete. Overall, if I were to rate it on a scale of 1 to 5, I would give it a 3.5. It had its moments of excitement and intrigue, but also some areas that could have been improved upon to make it a more fulfilling and satisfying encounter.
