A short audio book was listened to. While it had its merits, it could have been improved in several ways. Firstly, if it were approximately 20% shorter, it might have had a more concise and engaging narrative. Secondly, the narrator's angst seemed a bit excessive. Reducing it by around 60% would have made the listening experience more pleasant and less overwhelming. Additionally, contrary to initial expectations, it was not as scary as hoped. This might have been due to the tone, the pacing, or the lack of certain elements that typically contribute to a spooky atmosphere. Overall, although it was a short audio book, there were areas where it could have been enhanced to provide a more satisfying and thrilling experience.

I read this book as a recommendation from a dear friend.

At first, I wasn't sure what to expect as it wasn't the kind of book I usually pick up. However, as I delved into the story, I found myself having an incredibly good time.

The narrative was not only fun and exciting, filled with thrilling moments that kept me on the edge of my seat, but it was also written in a thought-provoking manner.

It made me stop and reflect on the deeper meanings and implications of what I was reading.

Overall, I would rate this book 4 stars.

It truly exceeded my expectations and although it deviated from my typical reading preferences, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience it provided.

I'm glad my friend recommended it to me, and I would highly recommend it to others as well.

Excelente relato. It is extremely fast-paced and engaging to read. The protagonist experiences a moral dilemma that undoubtedly makes you think about it. The story is about Alan Parker, a student who receives a phone call informing him about his mother's hospitalization after suffering a stroke. Therefore, the protagonist doesn't hesitate to hitchhike to reach the city where his mother is. During this journey, he rides in various cars, and the drivers pose diverse existential dilemmas to him. I won't continue further as I would enter into spoiler territory. More than a horror story, I would classify it as a mystery. Do you dare to get on the bullet? "I have ridden on the Bullet of Thrill Village."

This book is really exciting and creepy, which makes it quite engaging.

However, it's not really centered around the characters, and the open ending isn't something I'm a huge fan of.

Still, considering I bought it for only €1,75 at the thrift store, it's a great deal.

I was able to finish reading the book during just one train journey.

The story had its moments of thrill and suspense, but I felt that the lack of a more developed character arc left something to be desired.

Despite that, it was an enjoyable read for the price I paid.

Maybe for some readers, the open ending would add an element of mystery and speculation, but for me, I prefer a more conclusive resolution.

Overall, it's an okay book that I would recommend to those who are looking for a quick and inexpensive read with a bit of a spooky twist.

Riding the bullet is one of the greatest examples of the philosophy of terror: we fear the unknown.

It can present as a burning moon or a strange driver, but our most primordial fears are those that we materialize when we don't understand what lies beyond.

It's a frenetic story that keeps you on the edge, with a reflective yet dark ending. It's one of the great examples that King truly understands terror, perhaps like few others.

At the end, we all ride the bullet.

This short story not only showcases King's talent for creating a sense of unease and suspense but also delves into the deeper psychological aspects of fear.

The unknown is a powerful force that can haunt our imaginations and drive us to make irrational decisions.

King masterfully exploits this fear, taking the reader on a wild ride that leaves them both scared and思考.

Riding the bullet is a must-read for fans of horror and anyone interested in exploring the nature of fear.

I read this book as a reading challenge in a Goodreads group and it has been a quite interesting read.

I'm not very used to short stories. Generally, I always end up wanting to know more. However, "Riding the Bullet" I really liked. It's a story very much in the style of Stephen King that creates an eerie atmosphere and in whose main character we can see the reflection of anxiety and fear.

The story is well-written. The author manages to draw the reader in and keep them engaged from beginning to end. The description of the setting and the characters is vivid and detailed, making it easy to imagine the scenes in your mind. The plot is also quite engaging, with enough twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Overall, I would recommend "Riding the Bullet" to anyone who enjoys a good horror story. It's a quick read that packs a punch and will leave you with a sense of unease long after you've finished it.

Stephen King is often regarded as the greatest horror author or the king of horror. However, I have never considered his books to be simply "horror."

While there are indeed horror elements within his works, they are not horror in the same sense as horror movies. The difference between King's books and other horror literature I've read is that for King, the scary elements serve to drive the plot and themes, rather than being the main attraction of his stories.

King focuses on the essence of humanity, both the good and the bad, and he delves into this through the prism of horror. He does an excellent job of presenting people as they truly are, but also shows what they are capable of becoming. He reveals the actions we take, as well as what we can strive to achieve.

This particular story was not terrifying in any way, yet it presented a unique concept and explored what we would do in the case of the characters. This is precisely what I appreciate about King. It's not just about the horror; rather, he uses horror to explore the characters more deeply than other genres permit.

Admittedly, there are some flaws in his work, but what King does exceptionally well is breathe life into his characters, making us, the readers, become invested in them, able to both relate to and view them as distinct individuals.

As stated in the preface of this 2000 book, Stephen King was truly a visionary when he published this short story on the Internet, which opened the doors for many other young writers with great ideas. Regarding the story, I really liked it. It's short, can be read in one sitting, full of intrigue, a touch of fear, and with one of those decisions that one has to make, making you think what would I do if I were in the same situation. I had read it before because it also appears in another SK book, "Everything's Eventual: 14 Dark Tales" but it has been a pleasure to review it again, as for me it was my favorite story, number 13 if I'm not mistaken.

This short story by Stephen King is a masterpiece that showcases his unique talent for creating engaging and thought-provoking narratives. The way he builds up the tension and keeps the reader on the edge of their seat is truly remarkable. The elements of mystery and horror add an extra layer of excitement to the story, making it a must-read for fans of the genre.

Moreover, King's decision to publish this story on the Internet was a revolutionary move at the time. It not only allowed him to reach a wider audience but also inspired a new generation of writers to explore the possibilities of digital publishing. Overall, this short story is a great example of King's genius and a testament to his enduring popularity as one of the greatest writers of our time.

It is a very entertaining story. I started it to disconnect from one of the other books I am reading, so I didn't even know what it was about. It was the best decision.

One cannot say much without spoiling it. It only has 96 pages.

It is not horror. It is just the story of a boy who wants to get home to see his mother, with a supernatural touch. It is entertaining.

The story takes the reader on a journey with the boy as he faces various challenges and obstacles on his way home. The supernatural element adds an extra layer of excitement and mystery. Despite its short length, the author manages to create a vivid and engaging world that keeps the reader hooked until the very end.

Whether you are looking for a quick read to pass the time or a story that will transport you to another world, this book is definitely worth checking out. You won't be disappointed.
