Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Lily. One day, while playing in the forest, she discovered a strange little door hidden behind a bush. Curiosity got the better of her, and she opened the door.

To her surprise, she found herself in a magical world filled with colorful flowers, talking animals, and floating castles. She was amazed and excited at the same time.

Lily started exploring this wonderful world. She made friends with a friendly rabbit, who showed her around. They hopped through the fields of flowers and laughed together.

As the sun began to set, Lily knew it was time to go home. She said goodbye to her new friends and walked back through the little door. When she stepped out of the forest, she felt like she had just had the most amazing adventure of her life.

From that day on, Lily often thought about the magical world she had discovered and looked forward to the next time she would have an adventure like that.

I searched for it so much that when I finally found it at a used book fair, I simply devoured it.

It is a very simple story from beginning to end, and yet it is brilliant. Even the extraordinary element eventually settles into something quite ordinary. And that, I believe, makes it different from other stories.

From a certain perspective, it can even make it more terrifying: the sequence of events is so everyday that no one would ever suspect the horror that lies beneath at every moment.

This story has a unique charm that draws you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The simplicity of the narrative belies the depth of the emotions and the horror that lurks within.

It makes you question the ordinary things in your life and wonder if there is something more sinister hiding just beneath the surface. It is a story that will stay with you long after you have finished reading it.

A good and short story indeed. The ending, however, seemed to be a little hesitant or perhaps shy of what I might have preferred. But I won't disclose it here. The story had a few interesting twists and turns, which kept me engaged. At the same time, it also left a few things open-ended. Sometimes, this can be a good thing as it allows the reader to use their imagination. But in this particular case, for me, it wasn't entirely satisfactory. The unresolved elements seemed a bit unnecessary, especially since they were never properly addressed. If I were to rewrite it, I would definitely keep those parts but find a way to resolve them. Nevertheless, considering how short the story was, it wasn't like I had invested a great deal of time or effort into it. Despite its flaws, I still managed to enjoy it to some extent.

A short story but with quite terrifying passages. It really caught my attention and held it throughout. The way the author described those spine-chilling moments made me feel as if I was right there in the middle of the action. I could almost sense the fear and anticipation in the air. It was a thrilling read that had my heart pounding at times. The story was concise yet managed to create a vivid and creepy atmosphere. I found myself completely engrossed in it, eager to find out what would happen next. I truly enjoyed this short but terrifying tale. It was a great example of how a well-written story can have a powerful impact on the reader, even in a relatively short amount of time.

This was okay as far as short stories go.

I have always been a fan of Stephen King's writing style. His ability to create vivid and engaging worlds is truly remarkable.

However, my only criticism of this particular short story is that I would have liked it to be more thought provoking. Instead, it felt more like a frightening anecdote.

While it did manage to send shivers down my spine, I was left longing for a deeper exploration of the themes and ideas presented.

Perhaps if the story had delved a little deeper into the psychological aspects of the characters or the implications of the events that took place, it would have had a more lasting impact on me.

Overall, though, it was still an enjoyable read and I look forward to seeing what else Stephen King has in store for us.

My books are the literary equivalent of a Big Mac with a large serving of French fries. I really liked it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I still don't quite understand what the relationship is between "the bullet" and what happened. It will be a matter of re-reading. I love the large number of clichés in the story, but above all, that despite them, what happened still surprised me. In my opinion, one of his best short stories.

This is the typical story of a ghost that gives you a ride.

It's fast, short and interesting. It has a touch of King, but I think it leaves us waiting for more.

Perhaps there could have been more details about the ghost itself, its appearance, or its motives.

Maybe a bit more exploration of the emotions and thoughts of the person who gets the ride.

The story has the potential to be really engaging, but it feels a bit rushed.

With a bit more expansion and development, it could have been a truly great ghost story.

As it is, it's still an enjoyable read, but it leaves you with a sense of dissatisfaction, as if there was more that could have been done.

Overall, it's a good start, but it needs some work to reach its full potential.

It is extremely short, yet it is very easy to read. :-) Stephen King is renowned for his ability to create captivating and often chilling tales, regardless of their length. In this short piece, he manages to draw the reader in and hold their attention with his unique writing style. The brevity of the story does not detract from its impact; instead, it adds to its charm. Whether you are a die-hard Stephen King fan or a newcomer to his work, this short story is sure to delight. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy this typical Stephen King story.

I listened to the audiobook of this novella. I cannot recommend that version highly enough, for the narration was truly outstanding!

The story itself was both enjoyable and spooky. It was a great ghost story that didn't rely on the same level of intense scares as some of King's other works.

What I really liked about it were the vivid and detailed descriptions. They added depth to the story and made it even more engaging.

Moreover, it had the unintended consequence of heightening my fear of hitchhiking or hitchhikers. It really made me think twice about picking up strangers on the side of the road.

Overall, it was well worth a listen. I would recommend it for those aged 13 and older, as it does contain some language that may not be suitable for younger audiences.

I RODE THE BULLET AT THRILL VILLAGE, LACONIA.

When Alan Parker discovers that his mother has had a stroke, he abandons everything to reach her side promptly. However, shortly thereafter, he finds himself imprisoned in a car with a ghostly figure who presents him with an ultimatum. Someone will have to ride the bullet. The query is... Who?

Riding the bullet is a spooky little tale, yet fortunately not one of Stephen King's bloody reads. If psychological turmoil is your preference, this novella might be precisely what you require. It won't cause you to lose sleep at night, but it will prompt you to consider what you would be willing to sacrifice in order to flee from a terrifying encounter.

3.5 stars.

~ Cliterary Genius 2017 reading challenge ~
January: Read a Stephen King novel or novella.

This story by Stephen King takes the reader on a journey filled with mystery and a touch of the supernatural. Alan Parker's desperate situation upon learning of his mother's stroke sets the stage for a tense and engaging narrative. The appearance of the ghostly apparition and the ultimatum add an element of horror and suspense. The fact that it's not overly gory makes it accessible to a wider range of readers. It challenges the reader to think about the lengths one would go to in a terrifying situation, making it a thought-provoking read. Overall, it's a solid addition to Stephen King's body of work.

"Se lee en una hora. Está bien; pero nada del otro mundo.

It can be read in an hour. That's okay; but nothing out of this world.

Entretenido para ese momento que quieres distraerte y no tienes mucho tiempo.

It's entertaining for that moment when you want to have fun and don't have much time.

El final me ha dejado un poco frío pero el desarrollo está bien, muy King.

The ending left me a bit cold but the development is good, very King-like.

Solo autores como él son capaces de hacer de lo ordinario extraordinario.

Only authors like him are capable of making the ordinary extraordinary.

This short review provides a concise assessment of a book. While it can be read quickly and is entertaining for a short period, it doesn't offer anything truly remarkable. The ending fails to leave a lasting impact, but the overall development of the story is decent, showing the author's ability to turn the ordinary into something interesting. It highlights the unique talent of authors like the one being reviewed to create extraordinary works from ordinary materials.

Overall, it gives a sense of the book's strengths and weaknesses, allowing potential readers to make an informed decision about whether it's worth their time.

The original article seems to be rather short and perhaps lacking in detail. Let's assume the original article was something like: "The movie was interesting. The acting was good."

Here is the expanded version:

The movie that I watched recently was truly interesting.

From the very beginning, it managed to capture my attention and hold it firmly until the end.

The story was engaging, filled with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat.

Moreover, the acting in the movie was excellent.

The actors brought their characters to life with great authenticity and emotion.

Each performance was nuanced and added depth to the overall narrative.

It was a pleasure to watch them interact and convey the complex relationships between the characters.

Overall, I would highly recommend this movie to anyone looking for an entertaining and thought-provoking experience.

It truly deserved a 2.7-star rating for its outstanding qualities.
